Someone stole unreleased Beyoncé music from a car in Atlanta. What to know about the investigation
A choreographer and a dancer traveling with Beyoncé for her concerts in Atlanta left their rental car in a parking garage for an hour while grabbing a bite, then returned to find a broken window and both of their suitcases stolen. They lost more than just clothing, sunglasses and headphones. According to an Atlanta police report, the thief also made off with thumb drives containing the singer's 'unreleased music.' Police say they have identified a suspect, but they hadn't announced any arrests as of Tuesday. Here's what we know about Beyoncé's stolen music. The break-in and robbery The theft was reported July 8, which was two days before Beyoncé kicked off four nights of concerts at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium as part of tour of the U.S. and Europe in support of her Grammy-winning album, 'Cowboy Carter,' Beyoncé's choreographer, Christopher Grant, and dancer Diandre Blue called police after dining at a restaurant at a retail complex a few miles (kilometers) east of the downtown Atlanta stadium. They said their rented Jeep Wagoneer had been broken into while parked in a nearby garage. They had left it for about an hour after stopping to eat shortly after 8 p.m. Among the things that were stolen were two suitcases, a pair of sunglasses, Apple headphones, two Apple laptops and five thumb drives, according to the police report. 'They have my computers and it's really, really important information in there," one of the men told a 911 operator in a recording released by police. "I work with, um, someone who's, like, of a high status, and I really need my computer and everything.' Grant told officers at the scene that he and Blue work for Beyoncé and that he had been "carrying some personal sensitive information for the musician.' The police report said the thumb drives contained 'watermarked music, unreleased music, footage plans for the show, and past and future set list(s)." A representative for Beyonce' did not immediately respond to a request for comment Tuesday. Police zero in on a suspect The 911 caller, who isn't identified on the released recording, noted that one of the stolen laptops had tracking software enabled. The police report says officers canvassed an area by following signals from the laptop and the stolen headphones. Although it's unclear what evidence following the tracking signals yielded, the police report lists a red 2025 Hyundai Elantra as a possible suspect vehicle. It also says an officer inspecting Grant and Blue's rented Jeep was able to retrieve 'two very light' fingerprints. The police report also mentioned that cameras 'captured the incident' at the garage. Car break-ins are common in Atlanta As thousands of Atlanta residents and visitors learn every year, thieves commonly target parked cars with luggage and other potential valuables left in sight. There were 7,195 thefts from vehicles reported to Atlanta police in 2024, and 3,185 more have been reported since January. Police recorded 105 thefts from cars during the week before Beyonce's unreleased music was reported stolen.

Illegal Venezuelan migrant pleads guilty to crash that killed boy a day before his 12th birthday
An illegal migrant from Venezuela has pleaded guilty to causing a head-on crash in Missouri that killed a boy just a day before his 12th birthday. Endrina Bracho, 34, was driving with her own two kids on Dec. 20, 2023, when her Dodge van crossed onto the opposite lane in Hazelwood, a suburb of St. Louis, at 75 mph — 35 mph over the speed limit, Fox 2 reported. She smashed head-on into a Jeep carrying Travis Wolfe, who spent several months on life support until succumbing to his injuries on March 6, 2024, a day before his 12th birthday. 4 Travis Wolfe, a 12-year-old Missouri boy, died three months after his family's Jeep was hit by an illegal immigrant speeding on the wrong side of the road. FOX 2 St. Louis Bracho's two children were taken to the same hospital with serious injuries, while Travis' parents, Timothy and Stephanie, were treated at another hospital for multiple broken bones. Bracho pleaded guilty in St. Louis County Circuit Court on Monday to first-degree involuntary manslaughter and two counts of second-degree assault. Her blind plea means she agreed to plead guilty without prior discussion or agreement with the prosecution about sentencing, Fox 2 noted. 4 Edina Bracho, 33, pleaded guilty to first-degree involuntary manslaughter. St. Louis County She is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 12 and prosecutors have recommended up to 27 years in jail. Prosecutors dismissed two counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child and two misdemeanor traffic charges, related to her children. 4 Travis Wolfe spent three months at St. Louis Children's Hospital. FOX 2 St. Louis Court papers previously noted that Bracho 'was here illegally from Venezuela,' without detailing exactly when she came. While her status 'did not play a part in [the] investigation,' it made it 'difficult identifying all parties involved because we didn't have documentation or identifications in the vehicle to try to figure out who the two juveniles and the suspect were,' Hazelwood police Sgt. Scott Schnurbusch previously told Fox 2. Wolfe's death was highlighted by US Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) as a heartbreaking example of the failed immigration policies of then-President Joe Biden. 4 Travis Wolfe succumbed to his injuries just a day before his 12th birthday.. FOX 2 St. Louis 'Travis Wolfe, a 12-year old Missouri boy killed by an illegal migrant,' Hawley tweeted in March last year. 'This is what an open border does. Say his name.'

Some of Beyoncé's unreleased music and set lists stolen from choreographer's car
New reports from Atlanta police say some of Beyoncé's unreleased work has been stolen. According to the 'Today' show, hard drives containing some of Beyoncé's unreleased music were taken from one of her choreographer's rental cars in Atlanta. In addition to unreleased music, the 'Today' show reports that the hard drives also contained unused footage plans and 'future and past set lists.' The accused break-in and theft took place on Tuesday, July 8. Beyoncé has not yet publicly responded to the reports. WSB-TV obtained the 911 to Atlanta police detailing the alleged theft. According to the station's Michael Seiden, Christopher Grant made the 911 call, reporting that his Jeep Wagoneer was broken into at 99 Krog Street. Grant told police that he parked the Jeep Wagoneer on the parking deck at the Krog Street Market around 8:09 p.m., WSB-TV reports. They later discovered the back lift gate of the Jeep was broken into and the two suitcases in the back were stolen, according to the outlet, citing police. 'Someone broke into my car,' Grant told the dispatcher, according to WSB-TV. 'I was parked in a garage while I went to a restaurant. But they stole, like my computers and everything, but it has the tracker on it.' 'They have my computers, and it's really, really important information in there,' Grant continued. 'I work with someone who's like of a high status, and I really need the, um, my computer and everything.' In an incident report obtained by WSB-TV, a responding officer 'conducted a suspicious stop in the area, due to the information that was relayed to me. There were several cars in the area also that the AirPods were pinging to in that area also. After further investigation, a silver (redacted), which had traveled into zone 5 was moving at the same time as the tracking on the AirPods.' WSB-TV reports that an arrest warrant has been issued, but no arrests have been made. Beyoncé and her team were in Atlanta on July 10 through July 14 where she performed four shows for her 'Cowboy Carter' tour at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
