Hari Hara Veera Mallu director reacts to trolling for poor VFX in Pawan Kalyan's film, blames audience for nitpicking: ‘No one said it's boring'
Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan returned to the big screen after a gap of two years with Hari Hara Veera Mallu. The film opened with a bang at the box office, but has since seen a free fall in numbers. Apart from its lukewarm commercial performance, it is also being criticised for its shoddy VFX. Now, in a recent interaction, the film's director Jyothi Krisna admitted the flaws but called them a 'minor issue.' Speaking to ABN, Jyothi blamed the audience for nitpicking and defended his film, claiming that no one has called it 'boring.' He said, 'When they nitpicked, all they could find was that the CGI and VFX were bad in some places. No one could point out the story and screenplay, or say it's boring, or that they can't understand it. There are 4400 shots in the film that required CGI. I knew in my heart that a few shots weren't up to par, but it wasn't something huge. We needed to hold special premieres for which tickets were sold out, and they turned that minor issue into something major.' Jyothi also shared that he thinks people are trolling his film because they believe targeting famous people gets them views. He said, 'Anyone will troll only those who are in the limelight. People only get views when they write about someone famous. I do not take any of the negativity to heart. Every single day, I see something negative being written about Hari Hara Veera Mallu. This is not the first time a film has taken this long to produce.' Hari Hara Veera Mallu has largely received negative reviews from critics. The film opened at the box office with Rs 34.75 crore on Thursday but saw a 76% drop the next day, earning only Rs 8 crore. The film witnessed a minor increase in collections over its first weekend, but saw a steep fall on Monday, earning just Rs 2.32 crore. The film is directed by Krish and Jyothi Krisna and also stars Nidhhi Agerwal and Bobby Deol in key roles.

Ashutosh Rana Responds To Fans Wanting Him As Lord Ram In Ramayana Instead Of Ranbir Kapoor
Last Updated: Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. Ashutosh Rana was initially approached for the role. Ranbir Kapoor is all set to play Lord Ram in the upcoming film Ramayana, but some fans feel Ashutosh Rana would've been a better choice. The internet has been buzzing with comments saying he's perfect for the role. When asked about it, Ashutosh didn't seem bothered. He simply said that he believes everything happens at the right time and every role comes to the right person. He also shared that he's happy with the part he's playing. Not many know that Ashutosh Rana was initially approached to play Lord Rama in the film. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Ashutosh Rana said, 'Mera apna yeh manna hai ki jo cheez aapke prarambh mein, aapki tamaam bhaag mein bhagwan ne likhi hogi woh apne aap pahunch jaati hai. Aap sirf ek jagah par baithkar, dhairyapurvak pratiksha kijiye. Pratiksha aur dhairya agar sahi staan par ki jaa rahi hoon toh fal bhi hoti hai. Toh main yeh maanta hoon ki aap kya sochte hai? Main yeh maanke chalta hoon ki humaara ek naatak hai, Ram Naam ke naatak mein main Ravan ka kidaar nibha raha hoon." (I personally believe that whatever is destined for you, whatever God has written in your fate, will find its way to you. You just need to sit in one place and wait patiently. If your patience and waiting are in the right direction, they bear fruit. That's what I believe. What do you think? I go by the belief that life is like a play, and in the play named 'Ram Naam,' I am simply portraying the character of Ravan). He further said, 'Aap apne mitro se zyada apne shatru ke naam ka chintan karte hai. Toh jiska aap chintan mann mein smran karte ho aap unke jaise hojaate hai. Toh agar hum Ram ka kirdaar nibha rahe hote toh Ram ji apne baare mein toh naa sochte rehete? Aur agar woh apne baare mein sochte, toh woh fir hum unko Ram kaise kehete?" (You think more about your enemies than your friends. And whoever you constantly think about, you start becoming like them. So, if we were playing the role of Ram, would Lord Ram have spent his time thinking about himself? And if he did think about himself all the time, then how would we still call him 'Ram'?) Ramayana, touted as one of the most expensive, is reportedly being made on a budget of Rs 1600 crore. The two-part films are directed by Nitesh Tiwari and will release on Diwali. The film stars Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara. KGF star Yash has joined the film to play the role of Raavan and fulfill the duties of a co-producer. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. So Long Valley Producer Files Rs 10 Crore Defamation Suit Against Ruchi Gujjar
Last Updated: Filmmaker Man Singh filed a Rs 10 crore defamation lawsuit against Ruchi Gujjar, accusing her of disrupting the premiere of his film So Long Valley and causing a public scene. Filmmaker Man Singh, who has both directed and produced the recently released crime thriller So Long Valley, has filed a Rs 10 crore defamation lawsuit against actress Ruchi Gujjar. The legal move comes after a dramatic disruption during the film's premiere. Singh alleges that this was orchestrated to damage the project's reputation and hinder its success. The case accuses Gujjar of a coordinated attempt to sabotage the film. According to an official statement from the production, Gujjar is said to have paid Rs 20–30 lakh to an associate, Karan Chauhan, and allegedly pressured other cast members to withdraw from the film. Furthermore, she reportedly tried to halt the release altogether by approaching the court. However, the court rejected her plea, ruling that she had no contractual or financial ties with the production and thus no grounds to intervene. The matter escalated at the film's premiere on July 25, when Gujjar allegedly caused a public scene. She is reported to have thrown a sandal and a water bottle at Man Singh during the screening event. The Amboli Police subsequently registered an FIR against her and six others. In the video, Gujjar was heard screaming while arguing with the producers. She then lost her cool and hit one of the producers with her chappal. It appears that she arrived at the theatre with the intention of staging a protest. During the special screening, where the producers were present, Ruchi showed up along with a group of protestors. People around her were seen raising slogans against the producers. They held placards with the producers' photos, marked with red cross signs across their faces. In some of the posters, which can be seen in the video, the producers were depicted sitting on donkeys. Take a look at the now-viral videos here: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Bollywood News (@bolly_newssss) View this post on Instagram A post shared by SpotlightBollywood (@spotlightbolly) According to Ruchi, Chauhan had approached her last year claiming he was producing a Hindi television serial that would soon air on Sony TV. 'He offered to add me as a co-producer and also sent documents related to the project," she said, according to media reports. Believing the offer, Ruchi stated that between July 2023 and January 2024, she transferred several payments from her company, SR Event and Entertainment, into accounts linked to Chauhan's K Studios. However, the promised project never took off. 'Despite repeated contacts, he kept postponing them and lied," she added in her complaint. She claims to have discovered that the funds were allegedly used not for the serial, but for the production of So Long Valley. 'When I got the information that the film is releasing on July 27, I told him to return my money now, on which he started threatening me," she alleged. Speaking to the media after the incident, Singh condemned the actress's actions, stating, 'The movie has faced a major financial impact and negative publicity due to such false allegations and threats by Ruchi." He also claimed that she attempted to intimidate both actors and service vendors involved in the project despite lacking any formal association with the film. 'Our legal team has filed a ₹10 crore defamation claim against her," Singh confirmed, adding that further legal measures are being reviewed. His legal representatives echoed this, stating that proceedings have already begun and additional actions may follow. So Long Valley, starring Tridha Choudhury, Akanksha Puri, and Man Singh, hit cinemas on July 25. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
