Apple iPhone 17 price breakdown: What it might cost in India, US, UK, UAE and more

Apple's iPhone 17 series is coming this September, and we're getting four models: iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, and a new one called the iPhone 17 Air . The Pro models are getting a fresh design, new chip, and serious camera upgrades. The Air model is aiming to be Apple's thinnest phone yet. Price tags are going up, though — partly due to rising production costs and trade issues. Apple iPhone 17: Launch timing and estimated pricing Apple is expected to launch the new iPhones between 8 and 11 September, sticking with its usual early-September window. Pre-orders will likely open the same week. The iPhone 17 Pro may hit ₹1,45,000, while the 17 Air could land around ₹90,000. In the US, that's roughly $899 for the Air. This jump is reportedly tied to pricier components and rising tariffs in China. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Victoria Principal Is Almost 75, See Her Now Reportingly Undo Region-wise iPhone 17 expected pricing India: ₹79,900 United States: $899 United Arab Emirates (UAE): AED 3,799 United Kingdom: ~£849 European Union (Germany, France, etc.): ~€1,019 Australia: ~AUD 1,599 Canada: ~CAD 1,199 China: ~CNY 6,499 Japan: ~JPY 129,800 Singapore: ~SGD 1,429 iPhone 17 Pro: Fresh design, faster chip, smarter cameras The iPhone 17 Pro is getting a redesigned rear camera setup, switching to a horizontal layout with three lenses in a triangular layout. The flash and LiDAR sensor are shifting to the side. It's the first major camera layout change since the iPhone 11 Pro. Live Events Under the hood, you'll get the A19 Bionic chip (likely built on a 2nm process), 12GB of RAM, and a new vapour chamber cooling system to keep things cool under pressure. It'll run iOS 26 out of the box. Apple's also giving the cameras a serious boost — all three rear sensors will be 48MP, including ultrawide and telephoto. You'll be able to shoot 8K video, and the front camera is jumping from 12MP to 24MP for sharper selfies and FaceTime calls. Colour options are rumoured to include black, silver, grey, dark blue, and a new orange-copper tone. iPhone 17 Air: Thin, light, minimal The iPhone 17 Air is where things get interesting. It could be just 5.5mm thick — thinner than any iPhone before. Apple's using a titanium-aluminium blend for strength without the weight, and the phone may weigh just 145 grams. It'll feature a 6.6-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate (but no adaptive ProMotion). To save space, there's just one rear camera — a single 48MP lens — though the front still gets the upgraded 24MP shooter. The rear design follows the same horizontal bar style as the Pro models. Battery life will take a hit. The battery is rumoured to be around 2,800mAh, but Apple's said to be working on a smarter 'Adaptive Power Mode' in iOS 26 to help make it last. This isn't a small refresh. Apple's reworking its design language, pushing camera tech further, and trying to define what a high-end iPhone can be — while also introducing a thinner, lighter model that doesn't feel cheap. But it's also clear that prices are going up. If you're planning to upgrade, expect to pay more — and get more, at least on the Pro side. More details should drop closer to the September event.

India Cements on Saturday reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 131 crore for the June quarter compared to the profit of Rs 71 crore in the year-ago period. The company's revenue stood at Rs 1,025 crore, marginally lower than Rs 1,027 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The performance also marked a sharp downturn from the previous quarter, when the company had posted a profit of Rs 19 crore. Sequentially, revenue fell 14% from Rs 1,197 crore in Q4FY25. The expenses were made under the heads including 'Cost of Materials consumed', freight & forwarding expense and power & fuel, among other things. The company achieved domestic sales volume of 2.18 MnT, up 11.6% YoY. The average capacity utilisation stood at 61% for the quarter. The Cement Realisations (net of logistics cost) improved by 5.7% QoQ. The company recorded total Ebitda/Mt of Rs 424, which improved significantly from Rs 88/Mt in Q4FY25. The average interest rate for Q1FY26 stood at 6.83%, declining by 110 bps QoQ. On a standalone basis, India Cements reported a net loss of Rs 14 crore in Q1FY26, narrowing from a loss of Rs 76 crore in Q4FY25 and compared to a net profit of Rs 57 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue rose 5.5% year-on-year to Rs 1,025 crore from Rs 972 crore. During the quarter under review, the company approved the sale of its entire equity stake in its subsidiary, Industrial Chemicals & Monomers Ltd (ICML), for a total consideration of Rs 97.68 crore. As a result, the investment in ICML, previously carried at a cost of Rs 0.36 crore, has been reclassified as held for sale. The gain from this transaction will be recognised upon its completion, the company filing said. The company's step-down subsidiary, PT Adcoal Energindo, Indonesia, approved the sale of its entire stake in PT Mitra Setia Tanah Bumbu, Indonesia, an associate entity, on July 3, 2025. The impact, if any, on the carrying value of the investment in the foreign subsidiary will be evaluated for impairment once the transaction is completed. The exceptional items for the quarter include two key impairments. First, an impairment of Rs 47.53 crore was recognised upon the consolidation of the subsidiary ICML, which has been classified as held for sale. This amount reflects the difference between the carrying value of ICML's net assets and their fair value less costs to sell. Second, an impairment of Rs 76.24 crore was recorded in relation to the proposed sale of a stake in MSTB, representing the gap between the carrying amount of the investment (including goodwill) and its fair value less costs to sell. India-EFTA trade pact to be implemented from Oct 1: Goyal

The free trade agreement between India and the four-nation European bloc EFTA will be implemented from October 1, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said on Saturday. The two sides signed the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) on March 10, 2024. "India-EFTA TEPA to come into effect from 1st October," Goyal said in a post on X. The European Free Trade Association (EFTA) members are Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland . Live Events The bloc has committed an investment of USD 100 billion -- USD 50 billion within 10 years after the implementation of the agreement and another USD 50 billion in the next five years -- which would facilitate the creation of 1 million direct jobs in India. This is a first-of-its-kind pledge agreed upon in any of the trade deals signed by India so far. The commitment is the key substance of the agreement, which took almost 16 years to conclude, for India in return for opening its markets for several products coming from the EFTA nations. The biggest trading partner of India in the bloc is Switzerland. India has low trade volumes with the remaining three countries. In the pact, India is offering 82.7 per cent of its tariff lines or product categories, which cover 95.3 per cent of EFTA exports, of which more than 80 per cent of imports are gold. Domestic customers will get access to high-quality Swiss products, such as watches, chocolates, biscuits, and clocks, at lower prices as India will phase out customs duties under the trade pact on these goods over 10 years. In the services sector, the commerce ministry has earlier stated that India has offered 105 sub-sectors to the EFTA, like accounting, business services, computer services, distribution and health. On the other hand, the country has secured commitments in 128 sub-sectors from Switzerland, 114 from Norway, 107 from Liechtenstein, and 110 from Iceland. Segments, where Indian services will get a boost, include legal, audio-visual, R&D, computer, accounting, and auditing. Further, the pact would provide an opportunity for domestic exporters to integrate into the EU (European Union) markets. Over 40 per cent of Switzerland's global services exports are to the EU. Indian companies can look to Switzerland as a base for extending their market reach to the EU. India-EFTA two-way trade was USD 24.4 billion in 2024-25.
