Navitas Semiconductor NVTS is set to release its second-quarter 2025 results on Aug. the second quarter of 2025, net revenues are expected to be between $18 and $20 million. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter revenues is pegged at $14.5 million, suggesting a year-over-year decline of 29.1%. Navitas Semiconductor Corporation Price and EPS Surprise Navitas Semiconductor Corporation price-eps-surprise | Navitas Semiconductor Corporation Quote Let's see how things have shaped up for this announcement. Key Factors to Note for NVTS Earnings Navitas Semiconductor is a well-known provider of power semiconductors driven by its GaN (gallium nitride) business, under GaNFast, GaNSafe and GaNSense brands. Investments by NVIDIA NVDA and Tesla in GaN technology, as well as expanding footprint across mobile, electric vehicle (EV), and energy sectors, bode well for Navitas' prospects. However, sluggishness in solar, EV and industrial end-markets is expected to have negatively impacted second-quarter 2025 results. Unfavorable product mix is expected to have hurt gross margin in the to-be-reported quarter. Uncertainty over tariffs and trade issues between the United States and China has been a headwind for Navitas. NVTS Shares Outperform Sector Navitas Semiconductor shares have jumped 97.8% year to date, outperforming the broader Zacks Computer and Technology sector's return of 11.4% and the Zacks Electronics Semiconductors industry's return of 16.7%. NVTS Stock's Performance Image Source: Zacks Investment Research Navitas Semiconductor stock is not so cheap, as the Value Score of F suggests a stretched valuation at this terms of the forward 12-month Price/Sales, NVTS is trading at 16.92X, higher than the broader sector's 6.71X. In Solar & Energy Storage, the launch of NVTS' bidirectional GaN ICs – GaN BDS, in the first quarter of 2025, is enabling single-stage power conversion. This disrupts traditional two-stage architectures used in more than 70% of power electronics, reducing cost, size and power loss by 30% or more. The innovation reveals high-efficiency applications across solar microinverters, EV onboard chargers, energy storage and motor control systems, with customer ramp-ups expected in late 2025 and the EV domain, NVTS has secured more than 40 design wins across China, Europe, the United States and Korea. With a rapidly expanding $900 million EV pipeline, Navitas is poised to scale in high-voltage, high-efficiency onboard and roadside chargers beginning in expanding relationship with NVIDIA is noteworthy. In May, Navitas Semiconductor collaborated with NVIDIA to support the development of NVIDIA's new 800V high-voltage DC (HVDC) architecture. NVIDIA's 800V HVDC approach is designed for next-generation AI data centers, including systems like NVIDIA Rubin Ultra. NVIDIA 800V HVDC architecture will improve end-to-end power efficiency up to 5%, reduce maintenance costs by 70%, and lower cooling costs, all using NVTS' GaNFast and GeneSiC power Navitas Semiconductor faces significant competition from the likes of Wolfspeed WOLF and Power Integrations POWI. These rivals continue to invest aggressively in wide bandgap technologies, supported by stronger revenue bases and deeper customer relationships. Power Integrations' GaN portfolio includes InnoSwitch3, InnoMux-2 ICs, HiperPFS and Scale-2 Gate Drivers. Power Integrations is the only GaN supplier offering devices rated at 900V, 1250V and 1700V, giving it an advantage in grid-tolerant and high-voltage applications. Wolfspeed has been taking initiatives to expand manufacturing capacity. A state-of-the-art, automated 200-millimeter (mm) capable silicon carbide device fabrication facility in New York (the Mohawk Valley fab) is noteworthy. Wolfspeed enjoys a first-mover advantage in 200-mm wafer volume production, which is the silicon carbide industry's most advanced technology. Conclusion NVTS' muted revenue growth outlook in the near term, along with a stretched valuation, makes the stock risky for investors. Navitas Semiconductor currently has a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell), which implies that investors should avoid the stock ahead of second-quarter 2025 results. Bitcoin and crypto are on an upswing. How long can it continue?
July was good to Bitcoin, and some analysts think this may just be the warmup. Although Bitcoin was last down 0.35% at $115,396.40, below its record peak of around $123,000, some analysts aren't worried. Tom Lee, managing partner and head of research at Fundstrat Global Advisors who predicted Bitcoin's peak in 2024, has said he thinks Bitcoin willl reach $250,000 before the end of the year. Bitcoin climbed to a record high on July 14 as weekly cryptocurrency investment products saw record weekly inflows, pushing the total crypto market to top $4 trillion for the first time ever. With new legislation signed into law last month and skyrocketing institutional buying, there's little doubt digital assets are becoming more mainstream, they say. Earlier in the year, crypto exchange Coinbase also became the first crypto exchange to join the S&P 500, marking a major milestone for the digital asset industry. "Bitcoin pulling back after reaching a new all-time high is not unusual," said Samer Hasn, Senior Market Analyst at global broker Often, rallies are followed by dips, so people can take some profits around key technical levels. The drops also allow people who are sidelined and don't want to buy at the highs a lower entry point. Regulations give institutions green light The GENIUS Act, signed into law on July 18, creates a regulatory framework for stablecoins, a popular type of cryptocurrency tied to the value of stable assets like the U.S. dollar. The Act "marks a turning point in federal crypto oversight," said Frank Walbaum Market Analyst at socal investing platform Naga. "Regulatory clarity could support institutional adoption and long-term market maturation." Crypto has already seen a flood of new interest, with money flooding into crypto exchange traded funds, or ETFs that trade like stocks on an exchange but have holdings that track an index or other underlying asset. iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF, which seeks to reflect generally the performance of the price of bitcoin, became the fastest growing ETF ever in terms of assets. "The crypto ETF pie is growing fast because of broader adoptions after executive orders by President Donald Trump that are in the process of breaking down regulatory barriers that previously stood in the way of broader crypto adoption," said Bryan Armour, Morningstar's director of ETF and passive strategies. Who's buying crypto? Buyers are mostly young American males, according to a Deutsche Bank survey of U.S., UK and EU residents in June. In the United States, 23% of men versus 13% of women use cryptocurrency as a form of payment or personally invest in crypto, the survey showed. That's up from 20% and 12%, respectively, in January. Individual investors also tend to be young in the U.S. Among 18–34-year-olds, the share of investors increased to 29% in June from 24% in January, due to "excitement over Trump's pro-crypto administration," said Marion Laboure, senior economist at Deutsche Bank. Adoption rates have been on an upwards trend since Trump's election in November. U.S. investors also tend to have more money. U.S. crypto adopters tend to have income above $100,000 annually (34%). It was a 32% adoption rate for those earning between $50,000 and $100,000. More companies also are building Bitcoin treasuries. For example, MicroStrategy, which began buying Bitcoin in 2020, has since sold equity, issued various types of debt and layered stacks of preferred shares on top to raise money to buy more. In its latest earnings regulatory filing, it said it would do so again, selling $4.2 billion more in preferred stock to buy more of the digital coin. Its Bitcoin holdings helped the company's results top second-quarter estimates with a surprising profit. Metaplanet also said in a regulatory filing it plans to potentially issue up to $3.7 billion worth of perpetual preferred shares and use proceeds to buy more Bitcoin. It has said it wants to accumulate 210,000 Bitcoin by the end of 2027. Medora Lee is a money, markets, and personal finance reporter at USA TODAY. 10 Most Expensive Countries in the World to Grab a Cappuccino
Whether it's a grouchy work morning, a first date, or a desperate hangover fix, coffee is often the first thing we reach for, rain, or shine. As Lorelai Gilmore famously taught us, it's not just a beverage—it's a lifeline. Sure, there's joy in brewing it yourself in a moka pot at sunrise. But let's be honest: coffee just hits differently when it's handed to you over the counter at your favorite café, plucked off a hand-lettered whiteboard menu next to a display of flaky pastries. Turns out, part of what makes it taste so good might just be the price tag. According to Deutsche Bank's 2025 'Mapping the World's Prices' report, the cheapest cup of cappuccino in the world is in Cairo, Egypt, at just $1.57. While Zurich in Switzerland tops the chart at a steep $6.77 per cup. In India, the numbers are more comforting. A cappuccino in Delhi averages $2.07, while in Mumbai it's slightly pricier at $2.58. Italy, home of the cappuccino and entire espresso-fueled mornings, unsurprisingly lands on the affordable side too. In Rome, you can still sip on one for $1.79, making it the second cheapest city in the world. Here's where your caffeine craving might just make your wallet wince a little: The most expensive places in the world to grab a cappuccino Switzerland (Zurich): $6.77 Denmark (Copenhagen): $6.77 United States (New York): $5.95 United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi): $5.84 United Kingdom (Edinburgh): $5.28 Finland (Helsinki): $5.13 Sweden (Stockholm): $5.10 Hong Kong (Hong Kong): $5.09 Qatar (Doha): $5.08 Austria (Vienna): $4.96 The average cost of a cappuccino is based on 2025 data (in USD), but actual prices may vary depending on location, café type, and local fluctuations.
