Local residents warmly welcomed the two MLAs and other TDP functionaries and expressed their gratitude for the allocation of for development of the colonies. The MLA Naseer said in one year new roads were laid at a cost of Rs 5 crore and been trying to implement the welfare schemes.
He said efforts are on to ensure that the beneficiaries get welfare scheme. The MLAs personally enquired with residents whether government welfare schemes were reaching all eligible beneficiaries.
The two MLAs criticised the previous government had neglected development and failed to provide basic amenities, causing hardship to the public in East segment. They said the coalition government under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is moving ahead with a clear vision and that all colonies are now progressing rapidly as a result.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka claimed that the 'secret meeting' between BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao and Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh was a conspiracy of the BRS to extend full support to the Banakacherla project. Mr. Vikramarka issued a stern warning over what he called a conspiracy by BRS, BJP and TDP to compromise Telangana's interests in the name of the Banakacherla and Polavaram projects. He was speaking at a public meeting held in Kollapur constituency marking the launch of new electricity substations, the distribution of ration cards and allocation of Indiramma housing pattas. He questioned why the BRS government remained silent on Banakacherla for a decade. 'Only after Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy intervened in Delhi, was the proposal halted,' he said. Referring to A.P. IT Minister Nara Lokesh's comments that Telangana was wasting the flood water, he rebutted that flood water was available for A.P. only because Telangana's upstream projects were never completed. 'Only after securing our rightful needs will Telangana consider any discussion on Banakacherla,' he asserted. Mr. Vikramarka criticised former CM KCR for discarding the Pranahita-Chevella project and instead opting for the Kaleshwaram project. 'KCR spent ₹1.2 lakh crore on Kaleshwaram, which ultimately failed. Pranahita-Chevella could have been completed with just ₹38,000 crore,' he said, accusing BRS of redesigning projects merely to loot the treasury. Tourism and Excise Minister Jupally Krishna Rao and Nagarkurnool MP Mallu Ravi were among present.

Addressing a gathering at East Veerayapalem village of Darsi mandal in Prakasam district on Saturday, Mr. Naidu said he wanted to reduce inequalities and ensure an equitable society with the P4 (People, Public, Private Partnership) scheme. Mr. Naidu said, 'I am working round the clock for the welfare of the people to improve their standard of life. After developing Hyderabad, which is now the highest per-capita income generating city, in undivided Andhra Pradesh, I am now focused on developing Amaravati as a global city. My vision is to develop Andhra Pradesh as the No. 1 State in India by 2047.' Lashes out at YSRCP Criticising the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders, Mr. Naidu said, 'People must remain vigilant against those wearing the mask of politics. In my 47-year political journey, including 15 years as Chief Minister, I have never seen such degradation in politics. A party depicted Amaravati women as prostitutes. When a few women demanded an apology during its leader's visit to Podili in Prakasam district, they were assaulted.' 'TDP MLA Prashanti Reddy was abused by another YSRCP leader. Instead of condemning it, their party chief spoke in support of it. They tried to frame me in connection with their uncle's murder. " Despite agriculture being a state subject, the Centre has taken proactive steps to enhance farmers' income and living standards by implementing beneficial schemes, PM Modi said. He praised banks for launching a mega campaign and holding fairs in villages across the country for KYC renewal of the account holders under the Jan-Dhan scheme on the completion of its 10 years of launching.
