Stephen Kenny expecting much tougher test for St Patrick's Athletic away from Richmond Park
The Super Saints take a 1-0 aggregate lead into this evening's decisive first qualifying round, second leg, but they should have taken more from the first meeting last Thursday.
Mason Melia had some big chances by the banks of the Camac, while Jason McClelland saw an effort come back off the crossbar.
Eventually, substitute Aidan Keena would score the only goal from the penalty spot.
But Kenny says he's not expecting to dominate the Lithuanians in Raudondvaris, like they did in Dublin.
"Hegelmann, we probably didn't see the full extent of them last week," he told RTÉ Sport at the pre-match press conference.
"At home I expect they'll have a higher level of performance. We'll have to more than match that and make sure we come out on the right side of this tie.
"They've more in the locker than they showed last week and they'll be more committed from an attacking point of view.
"It's about our level of performance. We were very good last week but we must look to build on that."
Pat's have been struggling for goals, with just three in around 800 minutes of action, between the League of Ireland, and their European opener last week.
They've been training on astroturf to get used to the feel of an artificial surface, something which they'll have to contend with later at the Raudondvario Stadionas.
And Kenny is hopeful that it's just a matter of time before the team really clicks, and the goals start flowing for the Richmond Park outfit.
"I was very pleased with our performance [last week]. Our passing was accurate, our movement dynamic, we had pace in the team.
"The only thing lacking - we created a lot of chances - was our finishing.
"We missed a lot of chances but we kept going. We believed we could get the goal and eventually we got the penalty.
"We had the opportunity to give ourselves more leeway but we didn't quite take it. It's important to have that lead and now we're set up for a real battle out here.
"We still have it all to prove but I've faith in the players."
Last week, Kenny's four substitutes - Chris Forrester, Kian Leavy, Zack Elbouzedi and Keena - brought a different dynamic to the game, with former Sligo man Keena scoring the all important goal.
And Kenny says he's contemplating changing things up for a game where he expects his side to be a bit more on the back foot.
"We'll need 16 tomorrow out here, it'll be a really tough game," Kenny concluded.
"Mason, even though he didn't score on the night, was really good the way he led the line.
"We have competition for places and that's important. A few of the players who came on made an impact and that's what you're looking for."

Meet three future Chelsea stars who have VERY famous dads – including one who played for hated rivals
One player boasts a very different skillset to his dad LIKE FATHER LIKE SON Meet three future Chelsea stars who have VERY famous dads – including one who played for hated rivals NEPOTISM in football can only get you so far. A famous surname or parents who achieved greatly might get you a spot in an academy, but without talent, there is no chance of making it to the game's heights. 8 Thiago Silva's son Isago is part of the Chelsea academy Credit: Instagram / @bellesilva Play Dream Team now! Chelsea however, have currently got three players on the books at Cobham who have both huge reputations to live up to, and also the talent to carve their own names into Stamford Bridge folklore. The question is, with the amount of talent Chelsea already have and continue to buy in abundance, can these three young stars escape their fathers' shadows and thrive on the biggest stage? ISAGO DA SILVA The son of Chelsea great Thiago Silva, Isago joined the Cobham setup when his dad moved over from PSG. Similar to his dad in his younger years, Isago is something of a quiet student, learning his trade as a central defender with one of the best to ever do it as his idol. READ MORE IN FOOTBALL LEIP OF FAITH Chelsea stumbling block in Simons chase as Leipzig not interested in stars Don't get it twisted though, he might be calm but he is also a leader in a young group, composed under pressure and tactically sharp. The 16-year-old already stands at 5ft10, and is able to play leftack as well as in the centre of defence, the kind of versatility admired by Enzo Maresca and shown by the club's recruitment of Jorrel Hato. A key player in Chelsea's Under-15 Premier League floodlit cup triumph, Isago also made his debut for the U18 side last season, not looking one bit out of place against players older than him. He undoubtedly has the biggest shoes to fill of the three, and probably the most hype around his name, but if he even becomes half the defender his father was, he's going to be just fine. 8 Big things are expected of Isago da Silva Credit: Instagram / @bellesilva 8 Thiago Silva at PSG in 2020 with wife Belle and nd their sons Isago da Silva and Iago da Silva Credit: Getty LANDON EMENALO Former Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo's son Landon is the first of the three famous kids to feature in a senior matchday squad, making the bench in the Conference League against Legia Warsaw. The England youngster has already been a part of the Blues' U21's setup and signed his first professional contract in January. Again, versatility is a word that stands out when profiling Emenalo, as he is able to play as a left-sided centre-back as well as in midfield. How Nicolas Jackson could make £80m Newcastle switch | Transfers Exposed A truly brilliant passer of the ball and a midfielder who is technically gifted with the ability to glide through opponents with ease - Landon Emenalo is one to watch for the future. He is almost certainly one to look out for should Chelsea get a generous FA Cup or Carabao Cup draw against lower-ranked opposition, as the lack of Conference League football this season may see those first-team opportunities harder to come by. 8 Landon Emenalo has represented both the USA and England at youth level Credit: Getty 8 Landon Emenalo is highly rated Credit: Getty 8 Landon's dad Michael was once Chelsea technical director Credit: PA:Press Association MATHIS EBOUE His father Emmanuel is regarded as a cult hero in North London, but Mathis Eboue being a blue while his dad was a red is a contrast almost as stark as their playing styles. In December last year, Chelsea completed a deal to sign the highly rated 16-year-old, before he signed a scholarship contract with the Blues in July alongside fellow star Ibrahim Rabbaj, both wearing a cool pair of shades. While his father was a right-back, Mathis Eboue is forward-thinking and can operate on either wing or in the number ten role, loving to carry the ball incisively before striking the ball goalwards with either foot. His dribbling ability and technical skill is perhaps where he shines the most, showcasing a range of skills and directness with the pace and physicality to get the better of most opponents trying to defend him. Arsene Wenger once likened him to Gilberto Silva, but he has grown into quite a different kind of talent, and on a different side of London to the Brazilian. 8 Mathis Eboue, son of Arsenal cult hero Emmanuel, is also at Cobham Credit: Chelsea 8 Arsene Wenger compared Eboue's, left, son to Gilberto Silva Credit: Getty WILL THEY MAKE IT? It's tough to say at this age whether these three will follow Cobham greatness as John Terry and Reece James did, and go on to make hundreds of appearances for their boyhood clubs. But they have certainly got the talent to go a long way in football. The lack of Conference League football this season will not play into their hands, as games against lesser opposition will be few and far between in the upcoming campaign, with Enzo Maresca unlikely to be willing to offer chances to unproven prospects in the Champions League. SunSport will be keeping an eye on their development this season as Cobham looks set for another golden generation of talent ready to come through their ranks.

Derry City boss Tiernan Lynch issues warning to Shamrock Rovers ahead of Europa Conference League tie
Tiernan Lynch has not given up hope on Derry City's title dreams just yet TIERNAN Lynch insisted Shamrock Rovers will need all their European experience in Kosovo this week. The Hoops fly to Pristina tomorrow ahead of Thursday's Conference League third round first leg tie with Ballkani. Advertisement 2 The 49-year-old knows the problems Ballkani might cause for the league leaders 2 Shamrock Rovers cruised past St Joseph's of Gibraltar in the last round And Derry City boss Lynch knows the Kosovans well having managed Larne against them on four occasions in the past. Last season, Larne beat them on penalties though the 2023 7-1 aggregate defeat is one that Lynch believes was a steep learning curve for his side - on and off the field. He said: 'We played Ballkani two years in a row in European games, and it's a very hostile atmosphere. 'The first year we took a bit of a pasting and couldn't really deal with the hostility, we had 24 hour armed guards and all that goes with that. Advertisement 'But Rovers are probably much more experienced than we were at that stage, and I think it's something they will deal with ok.' Lynch saw firsthand Rovers' experience last night as his Derry City side were beaten 2-0 in Tallaght in a game that could go a long way towards deciding the title. Derry were the better side in the first half and Michael Duffy hit the post, but Rovers' dominated after the break as two Rory Gaffney goals earned them the victory. With a ten-point lead over second placed Bohemians and 11 points on Derry City with just ten games to go, Rovers are well on course for a fifth title in six years. Advertisement But Lynch insisted Derry City must play with the attitude that they can still win the league even if the numbers are now against them. He said:'You always have to believe, if you don't believe you can do it then there's no point in coming down. Bruno Fernandes branded 'proper captain' for his miserable trophy 'celebration' after Man Utd win Prem Summer Series 'We knew it was going to be difficult, this is a top team, and we had to be at our very, very best if we are going to come to Tallaght and get something. 'For periods on Sunday we showed what's in store but the goals we conceded and the goals we didn't take, showed the difference between the teams. Advertisement 'I am not going to stand here and tell lies, 11 points clear with 10 games to go is going to be really difficult. 'But until I am told mathematically that we are completely out of it, we have to go out in every game where there's still something there. 'That's the culture that we have to create, the desire that we need to have and we need to have that belief. 'This is a really good league with really good teams, top and bottom people are capable of taking points off each other, it's never over until it's over but it will be difficult.' Advertisement But Lynch acknowledged that his side need to improve in both penalty areas as he bemoaned consistency that saw them follow up four straight wins with one point in their last three games. He added: 'It's hugely disappointing and that's been our Achilles heel this year, in both boxes. 'Last week against Bohs we created four or five really good chances to go on and win the game, and we didn't. 'They had two shots on goal and scored one, that can't happen if we are going to go where we want to go.'
