Nitish Kumar sets target to provide jobs to one crore youth in Bihar by 2030
Doubling the previous target set for the 2020-2025 period, the Chief Minister said that the state government is on its way to achieve the 2020-2025 target of employing 50 lakh youths, as it has provided government jobs to 10 lakh youths and employment to approximately 39 lakh people.
He said that to achieve this new target, employment opportunities will be created in the private sector with special emphasis on industrial areas. A high-level committee will also be constituted.
'I am delighted to share that, so far, 10 lakh youth in the state have been provided with government jobs, and approximately 39 lakh people have been given employment, and the target of providing government jobs/employment to over 50 lakh youth will certainly be achieved,' CM Nitish Kumar wrote in a post on X.
'In this context, for the next five years (2025 to 2030), we are setting a target to double the 2020-25 goal by providing government jobs and employment to one crore youth. To achieve this, new job and employment opportunities will also be created in the private sector, particularly in industrial areas. For this purpose, a high-level committee is being constituted,' he added.

Bihar CM further highlighted that the state government provided over 8 lakh government jobs to youths between 2005 to 2025.
'It has been our vision from the beginning to ensure that more and more youth in the state receive government jobs and employment opportunities. Between 2005 and 2020, over 8 lakh youth in the state were provided with government jobs.'
He announced that Jananayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University will be established under the Saat Nischay scheme to provide skill development training to connect them with self-employment opportunities.
'In the next five years, the ongoing program under Saat Nischay for youth skill development will be expanded. In the coming time, a skill university will be established for skill development, which will be named Jananayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University in honour of Bihar's pride, Bharat Ratna Jananayak Karpuri Thakur ji, so that the youth of the state can find a new direction in skill development,' he said.
The Bihar elections are expected to be held later this year, tentatively in October or November. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has not yet announced the exact dates. (ANI)

Beijing [China], July 15 (ANI): External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held detailed talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing and spoke about the need for a far-seeing approach to bilateral ties. In a post on X, Jaishankar said expressed confidence that ties can develop along a positive trajectory on the foundation of mutual respect, mutual interest and mutual sensitivity. In his opening remarks during meeting with Wang Yi, Jaishankar noted that India and China have made good progress in the past nine months for the normalization of bilateral relations due to resolution of friction along the border in eastern Ladakh. He said it is now incumbent on the two sides to address other aspects related to the border, including de-escalation. He also called for avoiding restrictive trade measures and roadblocks are avoided. Jaishankar, who is in China to attend SCO Foreign Ministers Meeting, said that stable and constructive ties between India and China are not only for mutual benefit, but that of the world as well. 'Our bilateral relationship requires that we take a far-seeing approach to our ties. Since our leaders' meeting in Kazan in October 2024, the India-China relationship has been gradually moving in a positive direction. Our responsibility is to maintain that momentum,' he said. 'In recent times, the two of us have had several opportunities to meet at international events and carry out strategic communication. It is our expectation that this will now be regular and take place in each other's countries,' he added. Jaishankar said that this year marks the 75th year of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and China. 'We appreciate that the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra has also resumed after a gap of five years. I thank the Chinese side for their cooperation on this matter,' he said. 'We have made good progress in the past nine months for the normalization of our bilateral relations. It is a result of the resolution of friction along the border and our ability to maintain peace and tranquility there. This is the fundamental basis for mutual strategic trust and for smooth development of bilateral relations. It is now incumbent on us to address other aspects related to the border, including de-escalation,' he added. India and China reached agreement on patrolling arrangements along the Line of Actual Control in India-China border areas in Depsang and Demchok on 21 October 2024, leading to disengagement from all the friction points of 2020. Jaishankar said that there are various facets and dimensions of bilateral ties. 'Measures towards normalizing our people - to - people exchanges can certainly foster mutually beneficial cooperation. It is also essential in this context that restrictive trade measures and roadblocks are avoided. I hope to discuss these issues in further detail,' he said. The minister called for handling bilateral relations on the basis of mutual respect, mutual interest and sensitivity. 'Stable and constructive ties between India and China are not only to our benefit, but that of the world as well. This is best done by handling relations on the basis of mutual respect, mutual interest and mutual sensitivity. We have also earlier agreed that differences should not become disputes, nor should competition ever become conflict. On this foundation, we can now continue to develop our ties along a positive trajectory,' he said. He hoped that zero tolerance for terrorism will be strongly upheld at the SCO Foreign Ministers' meeting. 'Our meeting today will also include an exchange of views on global and regional issues. Tomorrow, we will be meeting in the format of the SCO, whose primary mandate is to combat terrorism, separatism and extremism. This is a shared concern and India hopes that zero tolerance for terrorism will be strongly upheld,' he said. 'As Foreign Minister, you have been long responsible for our overall bilateral relations. Dubai [UAE], July 15 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, on Monday, lauded the Indian armed forces for conducting Operation Sindoor in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam attack, asserting that India has shown that it can neutralise anyone who comes and commits a crime on its land. While addressing the 'Madhya Pradesh Business Investment Forum' Program, CM Yadav described Operation Sindoor as the age of 'new technology' where the people have not crossed the border, but drones are attacking each other. 'In the changing times, India has shown that if terrorists come to our home and commit a crime, we can kill them by going to their home. In any war, wherever it happens, trade will always decrease there. Because both things can't go together,' he added. The 'Madhya Pradesh Business Investment Forum Program' took place in the UAE on Monday. At the commencement of the event, the guests were honoured with flowers and shawls. The program was attended by several dignitaries such as Sahitya Chaturvedi, Secretary General of IBPC Dubai, Consul General Satish Kumar Sivan, and senior bureaucrats. Tripura CM slams left front for using Janajati community for vote bank politics
Agartala (Tripura) [India], July 15 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said on Monday that the development of the country is not possible without developing the Janajati community. In view of this, he wrote a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah to address some of the problems faced by the Bru people in the state. The Chief Minister made these remarks while addressing the District Level Mega Campaign on Dharti Aaba Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan at Gobinda Community Hall, Jirania Sub-Division. He criticised the previous left-front-led government of the state for using the Janajati community as a vote bank. 'They (CPM led govt) used the Janajati community for vote bank politics. Now, the BJP government always thinks about the people and the development of the Janajati community by making them self-reliant. The way PM Modi connects with people through Mann Ki Baat, I doubt if any leader in the world connects like that. We are public representatives, but we must not forget who we are here for; we must work for the people,' CM Saha said. He highlighted the efforts of the BJP government since 2018 to improve their condition. Highlighting the importance of helping the backwards classes, the Tripura CM noted that several community members have also held high offices, including President Murmu. 'If we can't develop the backwards class people, then the development of the country is not possible. PM Modi has been working for the Janajati people since 2014. Our President of India also belongs to the Janajati community, and one Janajati--who belongs to our royal family--is the Governor of Telangana. All such things have been possible because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,' he said. 'What PM Modi says, he does. We really feel proud to have such a Prime Minister. He has been working to make the country stronger and to ensure a safe future for the next generation,' Manik Saha added. CM Saha further said that in Tripura, the present state government is providing various beneficiary schemes to the people, ranging from drinking water, hostels for Janajati students, tribal multipurpose marketing centres, and giving land pattas. Under the Dharti Aaba Jan Bhagidari, 779 Gram Panchayats and Village Councils will benefit, with 20 departments involved in the initiative, the CM emphasised. During the event, Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy, Tribal Welfare Minister Bikas Debbarma, social worker Bipin Debbarma, West District Magistrate Dr Vishal Kumar, Dr K Sashikumar (Secretary, Tribal Welfare), West District ki SP Kiran Kumar, and others were present.
