The Best Prime Day Mattress Deals: Save Big On Our Tested Favorites

Forbes10-07-2025
Amazon Prime Day is underway and bringing with it new deals on a variety of mattresses—including some of our sleep team's tried-and-tested favorites. The best Prime Day mattress deals we've found include saving 24% on the Helix Midnight Luxe (our pick for the best mattress of 2025) and 31% on the Casper Original, which is the lowest price we've seen on it this year.
We've sorted through hundreds of sales to track down the best Prime Day mattress deals happening on ... More Amazon now. ILLUSTRATION: FORBES / PHOTO: RETAILER
As you peruse Amazon's thousands of sales, we recommend sticking with reputable brands sold through the e-tailer, as well as reading the fine print to check that brand-specific trial periods and warranties still apply. It's also worth investigating competitor sales, like those from Nectar and DreamCloud, that are running concurrently with Prime Day.
For specific mattress-buying advice to help find your ideal fit, read our guides to the best mattresses on Amazon and the best mattresses of 2025. Helix Midnight Luxe (Queen): Now $1,799, Was $2,374 (24% Off)
Nectar Premier (Queen): Now $807, Was $949 (15% Off)
Nectar Classic (Queen): Now $537, Was $649 (17% Off)
Leesa Sapira (Queen): Now $1,399, Was $1,699 (18% Off)
Casper Original (Queen): Now $891, Was $1,295 (31% Off)
Brooklyn Bedding Select Mattress (King): Now $360, Was $400 (10% Off)
DreamCloud Premier Hybrid (Queen): Now $699, Was $949 (26% Off)
Zinus 12-Inch Cloud Memory Foam (Queen): Now $278, Was $399 (30% Off)
Vibe Gel Memory Foam (Queen): Now $334, Was $397 (16% Off)
Sealy Dreamlife 10-Inch Foam Mattress (King): Now $494, Was $599 (18% Off)
Kin By Tuft & Needle Adaptive Foam Mattress (Queen): Now $496, Was $699 (29% Off)
Siena Memory Foam Mattress (Queen): Now $328, Was $389 (16% Off)
Tuft & Needle Mint Hybrid (Queen): Now $1,496, Was $1,775 (16% Off)
Amazon Helix Midnight Luxe Mattress (Queen)
Our top pick for the best mattress of 2025 is available on Amazon, and it's on sale for Prime Day. That said, if you're nervous about purchasing a mattress on Amazon, you can alternatively shop on the Helix site and use code FORBES27 at checkout for 27% off. This hybrid bed features a medium firmness that hits the sweet spot for most sleepers, plus optional cooling technology upgrades to help prevent night sweats. We recommend this bed for a wide variety of people: side, back and combination sleepers, individuals under 250 pounds and those who sleep with a partner (though it's great for solo sleepers, too).
Why It's A Good Deal: Although the Amazon price of the Helix Midnight Luxe dipped down $1,780 in June, it has yet to surpass 27% off in 2025—including during mattress-centric deals events like Memorial Day and 4th of July.
The top recommendation in our best memory foam mattresses story, the newly upgraded Nectar Premier is cooler than the Nectar Classic (below) and offers a medium feel plus a cushy pressure relief layer. Between its contouring feel, affordable price point, impressive 365-night trial period and forever warranty, this is an excellent choice for first-time memory foam buyers who want the full experience with little risk. (Just note: While the trial period and warranty are mentioned on the Amazon listing, it's best to check with the brand directly to make sure these still apply when purchased through Amazon.) Other similar mattresses on sale include the old version of the Nectar Premier, at just $659 for a queen, or the Nectar Premier Hybrid, which offers more support and better airflow, at $934 for a queen.
Why It's A Good Deal: This is the lowest price we've seen for the Nectar Premier on Amazon, though it's about the same on the Nectar website.
Another well-reviewed mattress from our sleep team, the Nectar Classic is the brand's entry-level model. While it doesn't offer frills like added cushion or extra cooling fibers, its medium-firm feel is ideal for back, stomach and combination sleepers. (That said, exclusive side sleepers under 150 pounds should consider a plusher version, like the Premier or the Luxe.) Like the Premier, featured above, the Classic comes with a 365-night sleep trial and forever warranty, but it's best to check with the brand to make sure these still apply with Amazon purchases. This bed is also available as a hybrid version, which is a combination of coils and foams, that's currently $679 for a queen. We recommend the latter for those who want more support—plus, hybrids tend to sleep cooler.
Why It's A Good Deal: While its price briefly plunged to $390 last November, this is the second-lowest price we've seen it listed for.
If you're a hot sleeper and need a moderate level of support from both springs and memory foam, you may find the Sapira Hybrid from Forbes Vetted editor-favorite brand Leesa to your liking. Also, it's discounted by $300 this Prime Day. This mattress is 11 inches thick and features perforated and pressure-relieving foams atop pocketed springs that naturally allow air to flow through.
Why It's A Good Deal: This is the lowest price we've seen on this mattress on Amazon since December 2024. If you're looking for something slightly thicker and more temperature regulating, however, the Leesa Sapira Chill (our pick for the best hybrid mattress overall) is currently on sale for 30% off on the brand's website.
Although the Casper Original memory foam mattress has been replaced by the newer Casper One on the brand's website, it remains available on Amazon—and we've spent a lot of time with it in order to write up our full review. The verdict? It's a worthy contender for those who want a memory foam mattress at a fair price. It's also 31% off this Prime Day.
Why It's A Good Deal: This is the lowest price we've seen for this mattress on Amazon in 2025.
Named among our favorite mattresses on Amazon, the Brooklyn Bedding Select Gel Memory Foam Hybrid Mattress provides a medium-firm feel that's a good choice for many back and stomach sleepers. Because of its combination of memory foam and coils, it can hug your curves and provide a decent amount of pressure relief but doesn't lack durability. It also features gel-infused foam to help regulate body temperature as you sleep, making it a solid pick for hot sleepers as well. Note: This bed is available only at third-party retailers like Amazon.
Why It's A Good Deal: This is the lowest recorded price we've seen for this mattress.
We've been reviewing DreamCloud's beds for a few years now, and the Premier Hybrid is a tried-and-true pick that's known for its cushy-yet-supportive feel that's ideal for back and combo sleepers. Snag the 'original version' of this bed on Amazon for extra savings (price featured); it includes a cashmere-blend cover and gel-infused foam unlike the newer model. While it's no longer featured on our best lists, save for our best mattresses on Amazon roundup, this mattress is a decent choice for budget shoppers or occasionally used beds in guest rooms.
Why It's A Good Deal: This is the lowest price we've seen for the DreamCloud Premier on Amazon.
We've evaluated beds from Zinus to determine our list of the best mattresses on Amazon and found that the brand's extremely affordable prices belie its models' effectiveness. With a medium feel that's particularly supportive for side sleepers, the Zinus Cloud includes four foam layers engineered to relieve pressure points. And at less than $300 during Prime Day, it's one of the best values you'll find for a memory foam mattress that's fiberglass-free and backed by third-party safety certifications like CertiPUR-US and Oeko-Tex 100.
Why It's A Good Deal: This bed dipped to its lowest price ever during Prime Day and though it's now inched back up toward its average sale price, it's still 30% off right now.
Our top overall pick in our best mattresses on Amazon roundup, this ultra-affordable bed is ideal for a guest room or anyone working with a tighter budget. It features a medium-plush feel that's ideal for side sleepers, individuals under 250 pounds or anyone who likes extra cushioning. We appreciate that the foam is CertiPUR-US certified, meaning it's made without certain chemicals and has low VOCs.
Why It's A Good Deal: It's the lowest price we've seen on this model since April, coming within $26 of its all-time lowest price for 2025.
Sealy is a well-known name in mattresses, and we've tested a number of the brand's beds (both from the original brand and its Cocoon collection). You can find a handful of Sealy beds on Amazon, including the Dreamlife, which is designed with a layer of cooling gel memory foam that contours to your body and relieves pressure. This bed offers a medium feel, making it a solid choice for back, side and combination sleepers.
Why It's A Good Deal: Because of their larger dimensions, king-size mattresses are generally among the most expensive beds you can buy. That said, this Amazon deal significantly cuts that price down; it's the lowest we've ever seen for this bed.
Forbes Vetted editors are fans of the Tuft & Needle brand, and many of its offerings have landed on our lists of top beds. The Kin By Tuft & Needle Adaptive Foam Mattress is only available on Amazon and is selling at a pretty deep 29% discount for Prime Day. Unlike some mattresses you can find on the retailer, this contouring-foam pick comes with a decent ten-year warranty. We recommend it for back and stomach sleepers, as the medium-firm feel may be too unforgiving for side sleepers. Despite the less than $500 sale price, it's fiberglass free and comes with multiple environmental and safety certifications, such as Greenguard-Gold and CertiPUR-US.
Why It's A Good Deal: For Amazon Prime Day, it's priced at only a few dollars more than the mattress' lowest ever price, which was back in late 2024.
We put the Siena Memory Foam Mattress through comprehensive testing with six members of our team, all with various body types and sleep preferences. Thanks to its support and lifted feel, this mattress proved to be a top choice for back, stomach and combination sleepers who enjoy a firm bed—it's denser than other memory foam mattresses we tested, like the Nectar Premier , with less sinkage. It also tested well for motion isolation, meaning couples can toss and turn without disturbing each other.
Why It's A Good Deal: This is the lowest price we've ever seen on this model.
Plush and pressure-relieving, the Tuft & Needle Mint Hybrid is the best soft mattress we've tested in 2025. It has a doughy, memory foam-like feel that doesn't trap you in bed—it's a little bouncy and responsive thanks to its coils underneath. These qualities make it a nice option for many side and back sleepers, as well as individuals with shoulder and hip pain concerns. It's also fairly cooling, thanks to its numerous temperature regulation features, hence the 'mint' in its name.
Why It's A Good Deal: Although this isn't the lowest price we've seen on the Mint Hybrid, the current Amazon sale offers significant savings on one of the best mattresses currently on the market. You can also get the same deal on the Tuft & Needle website.
As Amazon hosts its Prime Day event this year, other brands are holding sales to compete with the retail giant's discounts. Here are some of our favorite mattress companies that are also offering deals if you shop directly through their sites.

When compiling all of our mattress guides, we tap into their wealth of knowledge to make sure we're featuring the most worthwhile options designed to help you get a better night's sleep.
Most of the mattress brands and models featured on this list have been thoroughly researched or tested by a member of our sleep team.
Our deals team keeps an eye on price changes year-round to make sure we know exactly when a mattress reaches its all-time lowest price.
We also compare prices across retailers to check that you're getting the best deal possible—whether that's on Amazon or via a tried-and-tested mattress brand's site, like Helix, Nectar or DreamCloud, among others.
Do Mattresses Go On Sale During Prime Day?
Yes, mattresses are included in Amazon's Prime Day sales event. You can find impressive deals on select models from popular brands including Purple, Casper, Nectar and Helix, all of which can be delivered directly to your door.
What Is The Best Month To Buy A Mattress?
The best month to buy a mattress is typically May, as many retailers slash prices as they prepare to roll out their new inventory in June. However, major shopping holidays including President's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day—and yes, even Amazon Prime Day—are a great time to snag a high-quality mattress for less than its usual listing price.
Is Amazon A Good Place To Buy Mattresses?
If convenience is your top priority, then Amazon is a great place to buy a mattress. Many models can be securely delivered in just a few days, thanks to Prime shipping. Shopping on Amazon also makes it easy to quickly compare options from multiple brands. Just keep in mind that mattress warranties can differ when you purchase through Amazon instead of directly through the brand.
What Is The Highest Rated Mattress On Amazon?
Right now, the highest-rated, top overall pick and best-selling mattress on Amazon is the Zinus 12-Inch Cooling Comfort Hybrid Mattress. As a hybrid with a medium feel, composed of both coils and foam layers, and also infused with cooling gel, it's an affordable option with wide-ranging appeal. It's earned both CertiPUR-US and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certifications, so it's also constructed from safe materials with no harmful chemicals.

Railroad operator CSX beats quarterly profit estimates on higher volumes

(Reuters) -CSX reported second-quarter profit above analysts' estimates on Wednesday, driven by improving intermodal volumes. Intermodal shipping, which involves two or more means of transportation for goods and accounted for 14% of its overall revenue in 2024, saw a 2% rise in volume during the quarter. CSX chief executive Joe Hinrichs said on Wednesday that while uncertainty continues to impact select industrial markets, the company remained focused on completing two major infrastructure projects that will "strengthen our position to execute on many profitable growth opportunities ahead." Shares of the Jacksonville, Florida-based company rose 2% in extended trading. The railroad operator is reportedly in discussions to appoint financial advisers as it explores strategic options amid growing speculation of a potential merger with its West Coast peer BNSF Railway, owned by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway. Meanwhile, according to reports, larger rival Union Pacific is exploring a potential acquisition of Norfolk Southern, a move that could create a $200 billion coast-to-coast rail network and significantly reshape the U.S. freight industry. CSX maintains a fleet of more than 3,500 locomotives and about 51,000 freight cars, according to its website. However, any merger would be subject to approval from the Surface Transportation Board, a regulatory body that oversees railroads. On an adjusted basis, it reported a profit of 44 cents per share, above the analysts' average estimate of 42 cents per share, according to data compiled by LSEG. The company reported revenue of $3.57 billion in the quarter ended June 30, missing estimates of $3.58 billion. The company's operating margin was 35.9% for the quarter, down by 320 basis points from last year.
