This is world's smallest country, home to just 33 people, tourists here can visit only for 2 hours, it is located in..., name is...
Molossia's story began in 1977, when a man named Kevin Baugh, along with a friend, decided to declare his home an independent country. Yes, they turned a normal American house into a self-proclaimed nation. And to this day, Molossia proudly continues as a micronation.
Though it may not appear on world maps or have embassies, Molossia feels like a real country to those who visit. Tourists are welcomed, but only for two hours at a time. And just like in any other country, visitors must get their passports stamped before they can enter.
Everything in Molossia runs under Kevin's rule. He is the President, and every resident is part of his family. Together, they manage all affairs of the nation from cleaning the streets to giving guided tours. There are small but essential facilities like a store, library, and even a cemetery.
When tourists arrive, President Kevin himself takes them around, explaining Molossia's history, buildings, and quirky rules. He even wrote the country's national anthem and laws, and designed the flag.
Despite its tiny size, Molossia has gained fame online. People search for it on Google using terms like 'world's smallest country', and travel bloggers love covering it. Photos of its flag, passport stamps, and tours have made their way across social media, attracting curious travelers from around the world. Fun facts about Molossia Onions, walruses, and catfish are banned here.
The country have their our own time zone and measurement system
Citizenship, though is limited to our family members only
Molossia may not have fancy skyscrapers or huge resources, but what it does have is heart. Kevin Baugh has built a nation on the strength of self-reliance, simplicity, and belief.
Even after more than 40 years, Molossia continues to inspire. It proves that being a country is not just about land or recognition, but about vision and values.

Will ask Centre to restart Goa-London AI flight: Sawant
Porvorim: Chief minister Pramod Sawant said that the five to seven flights shifted to Manohar International Airport, Mopa, from Goa International Airport, Dabolim, had no impact on hotels. He said that he would write to Union govt on Tuesday to restart the Air India flight from Goa to London, which was recently cancelled. Sawant said the shifting of flights is having a small impact on the taxi business. He also said that since the Mopa airport began functioning, Goa has been handling twice the number of flights. Calangute MLA Michael Lobo said that former CM Manohar Parrikar and Sawant assured the House that not a single flight would be shifted from Dabolim to Mopa, and that new airlines would connect Goa to other parts of the country and the world from Mopa. He questioned whether govt carried out any feasibility study to determine if two airports can coexist in the state. The CM also said that over Rs 65 crore in revenue was earned from Mopa airport. He said govt is upgrading infrastructure at the Dabolim airport so that it continues operations and that govt is committed to increasing the number of flights to Dabolim. Sawant also said that even if tourists land at Mopa airport, they travel to the south as they prefer to stay there, and there is no impact on the hotel industry. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like American Investor Warren Buffett Recommends: 5 Books For Turning Your Life Around Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo He added that the cruise terminal at Vasco is operational and will bring more tourists to the state. Vaishali museum with relic casket of Lord Buddha to be inaugurated by month-end
Patna: Buddha Samyak Darshan Museum-cum-Memorial Stupa at Vaishaligarh in Vaishali district, showcasing a relic casket of Lord Buddha — considered "most authentic" — will be inaugurated in the last week of July, a state govt official said here on Sunday. "Buddhist monks from 15 countries — China, Japan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal, Tibet, Myanmar, Malaysia, Bhutan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Mongolia, Laos, Bangladesh and Indonesia — will gather in Vaishali on the occasion," he said. Constructed at a cost of Rs 550.48 crore on 72 acres, this stupa complex is being developed near the sacred Pushkarini (pond) and mud 'stupa'. The main attraction of this monument will be a relic casket of Lord Buddha, discovered during excavations from 1958-62, which will be placed on the first floor of the museum. A statue of Lord Buddha crafted by artists from Odisha will be a distinctive feature. "The Memorial Stupa is entirely made of stone, with 42,373 sandstone pieces from Bansi Paharpur in Rajasthan interlinked using tongue and groove technique. It is built with modern earthquake-resistant technologies to ensure its safety for thousands of years. Surrounding the stupa are lily ponds, attractive sculptures and beautiful landscaping," the official said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like American Investor Warren Buffett Recommends: 5 Books For Turning Your Life Around Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo The complex also includes a meditation and visitor centre, library, museum block, amphitheatre, cafeteria, solar power plant (500 kilowatts), parking and other facilities. "This stupa will serve as a centre of reverence for Buddhist followers and place Vaishali prominently on the global tourism map. Along with promoting local employment, this monument will add a new chapter to the cultural and tourism development of Bihar," another official from building construction department said. Earlier on April 4, CM Nitish Kumar inspected the construction of the Buddha Samyak Darshan-cum-Memorial Stupa, and instructed the officials to ensure swift completion of the project. "Among all the relics of Lord Buddha found, the one discovered in Vaishali is the most authentic. Visitors will gain more insights into Lord Buddha's life. Pilgrims visiting Bodh Gaya and Rajgir will also visit Vaishaligarh. The museum will depict events from Buddha's life and aspects of Buddhism," Nitish had said on April 4 after inspecting the site.
