Amidst the controversy surrounding Diljit Dosanjh's casting in Border 2, which follows the backlash he faced over Sardaar Ji 3, rumours emerged that T-Series had decided to sever ties with the actor for future projects. However, the production banner has quashed these speculations, putting the rumours to rest. Earlier this week, Diljit shut down the rumours of getting replaced in Border 2 by sharing a behind-the-scenes video of himself shooting for the film. T-Series sets record straight After Diljit shared a social media post from the Border 2 set, reports emerged suggesting that the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) had lifted its ban following a request by producer Bhushan Kumar. Although FWICE permitted the production of Border 2 to move forward, it stressed that its non-cooperation stance with Diljit would persist for upcoming projects. Some reports claimed Bhushan Kumar had assured FWICE that T-Series would part ways with Diljit after Border 2. According to Mumbai Mirror, a source close to the production company has since denied these allegations. 'These reports are completely baseless,' the source told Mumbai Mirror. 'T-Series has always shared a strong and respectful working relationship with Diljit and looks forward to collaborating with him on future projects,' the insider added. Border 2: Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty Film High-Energy Cadet Song

Last Updated: Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, stars Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty. They filmed a high-energy song at Pune's National Defence Academy. The much-anticipated war drama Border 2 is steadily building momentum ahead of its 2026 release. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film brings together an ensemble cast led by Sunny Deol, along with Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty. Now, a new report confirms that the trio recently shot a high-energy song sequence for the film. Diljit has not been removed from Border 2 amid the controversy surrounding the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in his recent movie, Sardaar Ji 3. According to Mid-Day, S came together at the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA) in Pune to shoot the song. This marks the first time all four leads have appeared together in uniform for a sequence. The song is composed by Anu Malik and choreographed by Ganesh Acharya. 'The shoot for the song began on Tuesday [July 1] and was wrapped up on Thursday [July 3]. This is the first time the four lead actors are shooting together in their respective uniforms," a source told the publication. The source further mentioned, 'Considering the NDA is a joint training space for the Army, Navy, and Air Force cadets, the scene fit perfectly. The song will show Ahan, Varun, and Diljit as young cadets before they trained to become officers. Over 200 dancers dressed as cadets joined the stars. Sunny stayed back to complete action scenes." Sunny Deol had earlier shared a photo with the team of Border 2 on his Instagram handle. The caption read, 'Diljit Dosanjh & Ahan Shetty join Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan as the battalion kicks off the 3rd schedule at Pune's National Defence Academy! On-ground, they're joined by Producers Bhushan Kumar & Nidhi Dutta, Director Anurag Singh, Co-producers Shiv Chanana and Binoy Gandhi, as the film moves full throttle!" While the original Border was directed by JP Dutta, the sequel is being helmed by Anurag Singh. The film is slated to hit theatres on January 23, 2026. Diljit Dosanjh was earlier in a controversy involving Sardaar Ji 3 when the film released in Pakistan. FWICE had earlier written a letter to the makers of Border 2, expressing disappointment with the casting of Diljit Dosanjh in the movie. In its letter, addressed to Bhushan Kumar, Chairman & Managing Director, T-Series, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta Producers, JP Films, and director Anurag Singh, FWICE mentioned that it is 'deeply disappointed" with the casting of Diljit Dosanjh in Border 2. It has now been reported that the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), which had earlier issued a non-cooperation order against Diljit, has now lifted the ban on the actor. FWICE President BN Tiwari told India Today that Border 2 producer Bhushan Kumar personally appealed to the federation and requested that Diljit be allowed to shoot for his movie. 'Yes, the ban has been revoked for this project," Tiwari confirmed. First Published:

Exclusive: T-Series will continue to collaborate with Diljit Dosanjh after Border 2

Diljit Dosanjh and Bhushan Kumar Speculation around Diljit Dosanjh 's future in Bollywood has been a hot topic of late, even as he continues to work on Border 2. A few days ago, the actor-singer shared a behind-the-scenes video from the film's set, effectively ending rumours about his replacement. However, questions remain about whether producers will continue to back him in future projects. The controversy stems from the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Amir in Diljit's Punjabi film Sardar Ji 3, which released overseas but not in India. In response, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) called for a ban on Dosanjh and his upcoming releases. Following Diljit's social media post from the Border 2 set, several reports claimed that FWICE had lifted the ban after producer Bhushan Kumar requested reconsideration, citing that over 50 per cent of the film had already been completed, and a re-cast would cause major financial losses. While FWICE allowed Border 2 to proceed, it maintained that non-cooperation with the actor would continue for future projects. Some reports went a step further, suggesting that Bhushan Kumar had assured FWICE that T-Series would not work with Diljit after Border 2. However, a source close to T-Series has now refuted these claims. 'These reports are completely baseless,' the source told Mumbai Mirror. 'T-Series has always shared a strong and respectful working relationship with Diljit and looks forward to collaborating with him on future projects. '
