7 Best Long-Lasting Nail Polishes That Won't Chip by Day Four
It can be frustrating to commit to a full manicure or pedicure, only to find yourself redoing your nails just a few days (or hours, for those of us who can't sit still) later. Luckily, the best long-lasting nail polishes can extend wear-time up to ten days or more with the right prep, so you're not constantly adding 'get nails done' to your to-do list. That means more time to focus on important things, like regulating your cortisol levels or hunting down the perfect beach outfit. Vogue's Favorite Long-Lasting Nail Polishes: Below, we asked top nail experts what to look for in a polish, how to extend the lifespan of a manicure, and which formulas they actually use on clients. Some picks might be familiar, like drugstore staples such as Essie and OPI, but there are also a few splurge-worthy luxury options and under-the-radar staples from across the pond with innovative formulas worth boasting about. To many no-chip manicures in your future! In This Story Best Overall: Essie Gel Couture Long-Lasting Nail Polish Essie Gel Couture Long-Lasting Nail Polish $13 AMAZON Why We Love It : While you may have grown up with Essie, the brand recently reformulated its Gel Couture line and now claims your manicure can last up to 15 days—with a reapplication of the top-coat on day seven. Celebrity manicurist Sonya Belakhlef says, 'I love this line for its affordability as well as accessibility. They're in every store,' which makes it easy to toss a few shades like cobalt blue or rich forest green in your cart while grocery shopping. And while the polish delivers a gel-like high shine, you don't need a UV lamp, harsh soaking, or hours of spare time to remove it. Fortunately, it comes off just like regular polish. : While you may have grown up with Essie, the brand recently reformulated its Gel Couture line and now claims your manicure can last up to 15 days—with a reapplication of the top-coat on day seven. 'I tend to layer polishes to achieve the perfect tone for each client, and OPI has a seemingly never-ending shade range,' she says. One of her favorites on set? Put It In Neutral, a sheer nude she calls 'universally flattering.' While sheer formulas are sometimes seen as a drawback, Belakhlef says they actually offer more versatility when it comes to layering and wear. : Every time I'm at the nail salon, I find myself reaching for OPI. These viral Amazon mesh flats look like Alaïa, feel like comfort, and cost under $50
If you happen to be a fashion lover who spends (way too much) time scrolling through TikTok for chic outfit ideas, you've likely spotted the viral mesh maryjane flats on your For You page. Available for just $50 on Amazon in classic shades like black, white, light brown, and red, the affordable shoe is a formidable dupe for the luxe Alaïa Mesh Ballet Flats, which is, by comparison, a total splurge at $950. As far as FashionTok is concerned, the buzzy mesh flats are worth every penny as they're surprisingly comfortable, aligned with the current trends, and are all but made for the total "it girl." In the name of journalism, I've decided to wear the flats non-stop for a week to see if they live up to the hype. Spoiler: I was pleasantly surprised. And for more of our rigorously tested shoe coverage, see our articles on the best flats and the best ballet flats. We even have a roundup of the best ballet sneakers, our other favorite quirky shoe trend. The mesh flat trend In case you haven't heard, mesh ballet flats have quietly become one of fashion's most consistent shoe trends. And though it might have been easy to write them off as a one-off fad a couple of years ago, it seems like they're here to stay. We can thank Alaïa—a French fashion house beloved by celebrities—for launching the crystal-studded ballerina flats that quickly reached cult status. Since then, they've dropped countless iterations of the beloved shoe, including a more minimalistic Mary Jane sans any sparkle. A few celebs have rocked the iconic Alaïa shoe, including Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lawrence, and Sofia Richie Grainge. Elsa Hosk and Kourtney Kardashian Barker are a few other fashion-forward celebs who've worn similar mesh styles in recent months, cementing the low-key silhouette as one to watch. The viral Amazon mesh flats Although I'm obsessed with Sofia Richie Grainge's chic style, I personally can't seem to swipe my card for flats worth nearly $1,000. That's where Amazon comes in with a near-exact dupe from Amazon brand DOEYG that's priced at just $49.99. But are they worth the coin? If you live in a metropolitan area, you can get them on Prime with one-day shipping, which is a total plus. And straight out of the box, I'm pretty impressed. Not only are the shoes well-packaged, but they seem pretty high-quality at first glance. To the touch, the mesh seems to be made from a sturdier cord, while the patent black leather isn't too "plasticy" or cheap-looking and is backed with a smooth faux leather. What's more, the brown sole is slightly cushioned and flexible, which seems promising for comfort. How they feel over a week of non-stop wear As a newly post-partum mom, comfort is key — though at the same time, I still want to feel put-together when I'm out and about. Over the last week, my stomping grounds weren't all that exciting: the grocery store, Target, and going on family walks with our dog. But these flats were seamlessly incorporated into my more understated wardrobe. The backs of the mesh flats (that usually make my ankles cut open) were soft and flexible, so I didn't experience any issues there. Typically, I wear a size 7.5 shoe, and while the size does fit, I do wish I had purchased an 8 for a slightly more comfortable fit. Those with wide feet should be especially wary as the shoe is on the narrow side. That being said, after consistent wear, I did notice that they've begun to loosen and "break in" a bit, making me content with my initial size. As for tips on styling the total closet staple, I've noticed that they are commonly paired with oversized denim for an effortless, cool girl vibe. Throughout the summer months, however, I'll mostly be wearing them with a breezy sundress or a linen midi skirt to tap the still-rising "old money" aesthetic. The verdict: Are they worth it? Overall, the viral mesh flats are certifiably comfortable for chill strolls and made for casual (yet slightly elevated) wear. While I didn't have any issues throughout the week, I will say that I likely wouldn't reach for them for long days of walking as the cushion can feel a bit hard after a while — but I think the same can be said about most flats as they tend to have little-to-no support in the soles. I'm definitely happy with the $50 spent and can see myself wearing them throughout summer and the upcoming fall months. And even if they do completely wear out within that time (I mean, it is an inexpensive Amazon dupe), I wouldn't mind repurchasing come next summer — though I haven't seen any alarming wear-and-tear just yet. The bottom line If you, like me, can't justify spending nearly a thousand dollars on flats, I highly recommend picking up a pair of these shoes for your summertime wardrobe. Not only are they affordable by comparison, but they are comfortable for everyday wear and an eye-catching choice that fits both understated and dressy outfits. As for my recommendations? While they may be closer to true-to-size for those who have narrow feet, if you are a bit wider, sizing up a half or full size should do the trick. What's more, I may think twice before wearing them ahead of any hours-long walking tours in a bustling city on unforgiving concrete. To be honest, dupes have their place and will (usually) never beat out the original before it. However, in this economy, I'm all for the girlies experimenting with their looks on the low. After a brief hiatus, ballet flats are back with a vengeance. This simple — yet seriously stylish — shoe is the perfect excuse to explore your ever-evolving style. Personally, I'll be wearing these all summer long, and even as my wardrobe transitions into my fave fall season.

The Best Jogging Strollers, After Miles Of Testing By Parents And Runners
Having kids doesn't mean you have to stop your active lifestyle—in fact, getting out on a run with your child is a great way to lift everyone's mood. Jogging strollers are designed with specific features to make them easier than traditional strollers to hit the road with a child in tow. We've tested eight of them since 2023 and recently re-tested our two favorites to confirm they're still the best jogging strollers. After logging over 50 miles, the Thule Urban Glide 3 Jogging Stroller came out on top. It's incredibly smooth and easy to maneuver, handles various terrains with ease and is easy to push. The best jogging strollers maneuver easily and make rides smooth for kids and parents. ALICIA BETZ FOR FORBES Our Top Recommendations An additional tester and I put eight strollers through various tests to determine the winner—taking them on runs, loading them in and out of the car, cleaning them after spills and long runs and more. In addition to using the strollers with testers of various builds, we also pushed around kids of varying sizes, from babies to preschoolers. I also interviewed a pediatrician to learn more about jogging stroller safety and what features to look for in a jogging stroller. Here are the best jogging strollers on the market, according to rigorous firsthand testing. Amazon Thule Urban Glide 3 Jogging Stroller Forbes Vetted Forbes Vetted ratings are based on thorough evaluations by our editorial team to help you choose the best products with confidence. Stroller weight: 26.2 pounds | Max child weight: 49 pounds | Unfolded dimensions: 48.4 x 27.2 x 45.3 inches | Folded dimensions: 34.6 x 22.8 x 12.2 inches | Handbrake: Yes | Adjustable handlebar: Yes | Lockable wheel: Yes Best For: Parents looking for a stroller with effortless maneuvering People looking for a lightweight yet sturdy option Running on all terrains and in all climates Skip If: Your child is nearing the 49 pound weight limit The first time I took the Thule Urban Glide 3 Jogging Stroller out for a jog, I was immediately impressed with how incredibly smooth it is. The stroller effortlessly handles bumps in the sidewalk that stop other strollers in their tracks, making it the easiest stroller to jog with of any of the eight we tested. Jogging strollers in general can get quite heavy because of how robust and sturdy they are, but the Urban Glide 3 is only 26.2 pounds, the lightest of any jogging stroller we tested. Our other tester was also able to comfortably fit it in her sedan and minivan. (If you want even more details, read her in-depth review.) Locking the front wheel is easy, and my kids weren't able to unlock it with their feet. Our tester found that even with the wheel locked, the stroller still had some wiggle room to make slight turns while running. This is ideal and allows you to continue your run without having to stop and lock or unlock the wheel (especially since the wheel lock isn't located on the handlebar, like it is on the Guava Roam ). The Thule Urban Glide 3 Jogging Stroller pushes so smoothly, making jogging with kids easy. ALICIA BETZ FOR FORBES The twisting handbrake helped me feel like I had more control over the stroller (even though it was the easiest to control to begin with). I use this feature a lot when I'm going down hills. While I like the handbrake, the foot brake could use some improvement. Thankfully, I've never had any issues with it locking, but sometimes it gets stuck when I try to unlock it. Once I give the stroller a little jiggle, it's ready to go. Comfortable With Lots Of Canopy Coverage The covered undercarriage basket has its pros and cons. While it's nice that it helps keep my belongings clean, especially if I'm jogging in the mud or dirt, it does limit how much I'm able to fit under the seat. As a chronic over-packer, this is a con for me, though it might not be as big of an issue for other parents. In addition to the covered basket, there is a mesh pocket on the back of the seat and small mesh pockets for kids to keep their belongings. My kids found this stroller comfortable, and I appreciate the extensive canopy coverage, which is helpful whether you're running in the rain or on an exceptionally sunny day. Our tester also found the seat to be comfortable for her kids, but noted that the seat isn't as deep as some other jogging strollers. So far, none of the kids we've had in this stroller (ages ranging from 10 months to 6 years) have complained about the seat. The stroller is appropriate for kids 49 pounds or lighter, so if your child is nearing that weight, take a look at our other two top picks. Forbes Vetted Forbes Vetted ratings are based on thorough evaluations by our editorial team to help you choose the best products with confidence. Stroller weight: 28.5 pounds | Max child weight: 60 pounds | Unfolded dimensions: 39 x 25 x 43 inches | Folded dimensions: 29 x 15 x 17 inches | Handbrake: No | Adjustable Handlebar: Yes | Lockable wheel: Yes Best for: Families jogging with an older child (up to 60 pounds) People who regularly load their jogging stroller into their vehicle Parents who want easy access to the front wheel lock Skip if: You prefer air-filled tires You want a handbrake The Guava Roam is a really great option, especially if you're looking for something sturdy yet compact. It simply isn't as great as our top pick. At 28.5 pounds, it's lightweight for a jogging stroller and it easily handled all of the terrains I tested it on. When compared to our top pick, I found it wasn't as easy to keep it in a straight line and overall just didn't feel quite as smooth. Our tester found it easy to maneuver on road runs and provided a comfortable ride for her child. She enjoyed both short and long runs with the stroller. While many jogging strollers have air-filled tires, the Guava Roam does not. This could explain why it doesn't handle quite as smoothly as the Thule Urban Glide 3. Even so, it's still nimble and fun to push, and it's nice to not have to worry about flat tires or remembering to bring a pump along. If you're looking to jog with an older child, this would be a good pick as the weight limit is 60 pounds (compared to 49 pounds for the Thule Urban Glide 3). It also has a smaller fold than our top pick, making it easier to fit into the back of your car. Though it's a more compact jogging stroller, our tester was able to fit a good amount of items in the under-seat basket. The stroller also has additional mesh pockets for parents and kids. Our kids felt comfortable in this stroller, and the seat seems to sit more upright than many other jogging strollers we tested. If jogging often turns into naptime for your child, you can recline the seat, too. The Guava Roam Jogging Stroller has nice features like a parent organizer and front wheel control ... More from the handlebar. ALICIA BETZ FOR FORBES User-Friendly Features The Guava Roam has several features that as a parent, I really appreciate. First, it comes with a parent organizer, so you can keep your water bottle, phone and other small items close at hand. When I'm out with my kids, I'm always juggling way too many things, and this feature helps keep my hands free. Additionally, there are directions on how to fold the stroller printed directly on it, which I find helpful. The stroller also allows you to lock or unlock the front wheel from the handlebar. With most jogging strollers, you need to reach down to the wheel for this, so having it up at my hands is super convenient. I can lock and unlock the wheel depending on my needs, and I don't have to tilt the stroller back to make a tight turn—I can simply unlock then lock the wheel again. Recall Notice: Please note that some Guava Roam jogging strollers were recalled in November 2024 due to a brake failure issue. The recall affected 8,500 strollers that were manufactured between July 2020 and December 2021. Amazon Bob Gear Alterrain Pro Jogging Stroller Forbes Vetted Forbes Vetted ratings are based on thorough evaluations by our editorial team to help you choose the best products with confidence. Stroller weight: 32.3 pounds | Max child weight: 75 pounds (including 10 pounds of cargo) | Unfolded dimensions: 46 x 25.5 x 45.5 inches | Folded dimensions: 39.3 x 25.5 x 16 inches | Handbrake: Yes | Adjustable handlebar: Yes Best for: Parents looking for something heavy and durable Runners who want a roomy seat and large canopy for their child People who don't want less than ideal weather to stop them from getting out Skip if: You're looking for something lightweight Built To Tackle Tough Terrain Bob Gear is well-known for having some of the best jogging strollers around. The first jogging stroller I ever bought was a Bob, and it's still going strong nearly seven years later. Unsurprisingly, The Bob Gear Alterrain Pro stands out as the best all-terrain pick thanks to its sturdy, durable build. The advanced suspension system and air-filled tires helped it excel on our off-roading tests. Our tester found that it pushed really smoothly even in less than ideal conditions, like on rolling hills with wet grass. The stroller also has an intuitive handbrake, which is very helpful when you're going down hills or simply trying to keep control of the stroller while navigating tough terrain. Heavier Than Other Options One thing that we noticed pretty quickly is that this is definitely a heavier and slightly more cumbersome option. The stroller weighs 32.2 pounds, and this heft is part of what makes it such a great all-terrain stroller. However, if you'll regularly be loading your jogging stroller in and out of the car, carrying it up stairs or simply want something more lightweight, this probably isn't your best option. Our tester also found that it was a bit more difficult to push than our other two top picks when she was jogging on pavement. Weather-Resistant Fabric And Nice Storage Features The Bob Gear Alterrain Pro has a nicely-sized canopy that rivals the Thule Urban Glide 3. It's an all-weather canopy that the brand states is water-resistant, and our tester found the fabric to really hold up to this claim. The baby food pouch she purposely spilled on it came off easily, and the fabric almost seemed waterproof. The storage also impressed our tester. The under-seat basket is generous, and it has a zippered cover. Like our top pick, this limits you from really stuffing it full, but it also helps protect your belongings from falling out. Other storage areas include mesh pockets in the seat and a zipper pocket behind the canopy for small items you want close at hand, like your phone and keys. Our Tester Faced A Few Issues While we really like this stroller overall and find it to be a great heavy-duty option, our tester faced a few issues with it. She had trouble with a few features upon setup, including the handbrake, the shoulder straps and the tracking. The stroller squeaked and didn't push completely straight. While we didn't find these to be dealbreakers, they're definitely factors to keep in mind. Other Jogging Strollers We Tested Forbes Vetted began testing jogging strollers in 2023 with one tester, and has since expanded our testing to include multiple testers, including myself. I've tested nearly 50 strollers total, and for this guide, we tested eight jogging strollers, including an earlier version of the Thule Urban Glide. Bumbleride Speed : ($769, 3.3 out of 5 stars) This stroller is unique because it offers three modes: running, jogging and walking. We were excited to try this feature, but ultimately found that the stroller wasn't great for running. It was very bumpy and hard to maneuver when making turns. It's a nice option for a sturdy walking stroller, but not one of our top picks for jogging. Joovy Zoom360 Ultralight : ($340, 3.5 out of 5 stars) Joovy strollers are great value options, and their running strollers are pretty popular. We like that this stroller has a high weight limit and is lightweight, however, there were too many cons to make it a top pick. This model has a higher handlebar that might be too tall for people with shorter statures, and the canopy doesn't have very good coverage for kids. We also found the quality of the material and padding to be lacking when compared to other strollers we tested. Baby Jogger Summit X3 : ($440, 2.5 out of 5 stars) The Baby Jogger Summit X3 has some features that sound really great on paper: it has a 75 pound weight limit, a handbrake and a quick fold and unfold. In practice, though, the handbrake didn't function well, bringing the stroller to a stop much too abruptly and in a way that could be dangerous. It was also lacking adequate storage and grip space on the handlebar. Bob Gear Wayfinder : ($544, 3.3 out of 5 stars) Our tester found the Bob Gear Wayfinder to be difficult to maneuver, partly because it's rather heavy at 31 pounds and has a narrow handlebar. The canopy didn't provide great coverage, and our tester struggled to get the harness to fit her 10-month-old. Why Trust Forbes Vetted At Forbes Vetted, the baby and kids gear team takes our recommendations seriously, and we spend countless hours testing and vetting products. Collectively, we've tested over 50 strollers, and our testers racked up miles testing these jogging strollers. How We Tested The Best Jogging Strollers To choose the best jogging strollers, we put each stroller through rigorous testing, logging at least five miles with each stroller with kids of various ages and weights, including a 10-month-old and a 40-pound 3-year-old. Each stroller was tested by at least two runners: a male and a female. Wheels and tires on the best jogging strollers help determine how well they maneuver. ALICIA BETZ FOR FORBES Running Performance On Various Terrains We took each stroller out on runs of various lengths—including one- to two-mile and four- to five-mile outings. A variety of testers used each stroller, ranging in height from 5 feet 2 inches to 6 feet, and we pushed kids ranging from 10 months to 6 years old. As we got our kids ready for their ride, we noted how easy it was to get them safely buckled into the seat. We evaluated how well each stroller handled on pavement, sidewalks, gravel and off-road terrain. We also considered how well the suspensions worked, how each stroller handed bumps, how easily the strollers maneuvered and how comfortable our kids were during runs. Each stroller's performance with the front wheel locked and unlocked was evaluated (and we noted if kids were able to lock or unlock the wheel from their position in the seat.) Function Of Features We paid close attention to how well each feature functioned, from handbrakes to canopies. We noted when strollers had features that made them stand out from others, such as the ability to lock the front wheel from the handlebar or extra storage areas, and tested how much coverage each canopy provides and how easy it was to adjust while running. To help evaluate safety, we tested the brakes on each stroller, including handbrakes or foot brakes—noting how easy it was to operate each brake and how well they held, particularly when the stroller was full and on an incline. Ease Of Folding And Car Storage Many people pack up their jogging strollers and drive to a path or their favorite running area, so it was important for us to evaluate how the ease of each stroller's fold as well as how well they fit into the trunk of a car. Since jogging strollers tend to be heavier and bulkier than regular full-size strollers and have bigger wheels, they can be quite difficult to handle. We folded and unfolded each stroller multiple times, timing how long it took, and we loaded each stroller in and out of both a minivan and a sedan. Storage We detailed all the storage areas in each stroller, including under-seat baskets, side and rear seat pouches, and additional compartments for items like phones, keys, and water bottles. Each storage area was loaded with various items, including a phone, a water bottle, and either a backpack or diaper bag. Ease Of Cleaning Jogging strollers (as with virtually all baby and kids items) can get messy, particularly if you're jogging through muddy areas or if your kids like to snack on the go. It's typically not recommended to hose strollers down or to thoroughly soak the fabrics (though refer to your stroller's manual for specific cleaning instructions). To test how easy each stroller is to clean, we spilled a food pouch then evaluated how easily it cleaned off. What To Consider When Buying A Jogging Stroller Safety Because you're pushing a jogging stroller at a higher speed than a traditional stroller, safety is incredibly important. Look for a sturdy stroller that has a wide base and a good suspension system. You also want your child to be secured tightly with a five-point harness. 'This is extremely important if parents are jogging on rough terrain such as wooded paths and gravel,' says Cruse. Look for strollers that allow you to lock and unlock the front wheel, as a locked front wheel helps keep the stroller stable while running. Regardless of how safe and sturdy your stroller seems, never run or jog with a baby under 6 months old. Once they reach this age, make sure they have strong head and neck control before you start jogging with them. Durability 'Durability is important, especially for those rougher terrains. Jogging on smooth surfaces such as pavement will create less stress on the stroller than a trail or path in a wooded or hilly area,' says Cruse. Sturdy construction, high-quality materials and a good suspension system all contribute to durability. Maneuverability Many factors help with maneuverability, including the tire type, the stroller weight and the suspension system. Cruse says, 'A fixed front wheel filled with air, as opposed to the foam wheels of standard strollers, provides for a smoother ride at higher speeds. This also allows parents to maneuver the stroller easier when turning at higher speeds.' While you don't need air-filled tires for a jogging stroller, they typically do provide a smoother ride. Weight Jogging strollers are typically heavier than your everyday stroller, which is to be expected. 'The weight of the stroller is important for storage and running practicality,' says Cruse. Typically, you'll see jogging strollers weigh somewhere between 25 and 30 pounds, while everyday full-size strollers often weigh closer to 20 pounds. What Is The Best Brand Of Jogging Stroller? In our testing, we found the best jogging stroller brand to be Thule. It's very smooth and easy to maneuver. Other great jogging stroller brands that excelled in our testing are Guava and Bob Gear. Is A Jogging Stroller Worth It? A jogging stroller is definitely worth it for runners and even non-runners. They're such sturdy and robust strollers that I like taking them out even if I'm just going for a walk around the neighborhood. And when I do want to go for a jog with my kids, a quality jogging stroller is a must for safety and ease of jogging. At What Age Can You Put A Baby In A Jogging Stroller? The minimum recommended age to jog with a baby is 6 months. Once your baby reaches that age, make sure they have strong head and neck control. Some jogging strollers are compatible with car seat adapters, allowing you to put a younger baby in the stroller. However, you should only walk—not run or jog—with a baby under 6 months.
