Each of these technology companies are expected to see double digit earnings growth in 2025.
Investors should put PANW, PLTR and AVGO on their short lists.
Every week, host and Zacks stock strategist, Tracey Ryniec, will be joined by guests to discuss the hottest investing topics in stocks, bonds, and ETFs and how it impacts your life.
This week, Tracey is going solo to profile 3 red-hot growth stocks investors should keep on their short lists for the second half of 2025.
There is nothing cheap about these stocks. Investors are buying the massive earnings and sales growth for this year and next.
These 3 stocks are breaking out to new highs but have momentum. The growth stock bulls are charging.
1. Palo Alto Networks, Inc. PANW
Palo Alto Networks is a global cybersecurity company. It's a large cap company with a market cap of $133.7 billion.
Earnings rose 27.9% in fiscal 2024 and are expected to jump another 15.1% in fiscal 2025. Shares of Palo Alto Networks are trading near their all-time highs as cybersecurity demand remains elevated. Year-to-date, it's up 8.2%.
Palo Alto Networks has a PEG ratio, which measures the price-to-earnings divided by the growth, of 3.0. A PEG ratio under 1.0 indicates value. A PEG ratio over 5 means a company is expensive. Palo Alto Networks is in the middle. Not too expensive but not a value either.
Should a cybersecurity company like Palo Alto Networks be on your watch list in the second half?
2. Palantir Technologies PLTR
Palantir is an AI-driven software company with a market cap of $308 billion. It has been one of the hottest stocks of 2025, gaining 75% year-to-date.
Palantir grew earnings by 64% in 2024 and is expected to grow them another 41.5% in 2025. However, even with the growth, Palantir is an expensive stock. Palantir trades with a PEG ratio of 7. It also has a price-to-sales (P/S) ratio of 99. A P/S ratio over 10 is considered expensive.
But the shares keep soaring to new highs.
Should investors ride the Palantir momentum in the second half of the year?
3. Broadcom Inc. AVGO
Broadcom is a $1.2 trillion dollar semiconductor company. In 2024, it grew earnings by 15.4%. But in 2025, analysts believe it will step it up a notch, with earnings expected to jump 36.3%.
Shares of Broadcom are up 16.3% year-to-date and it is hitting new all-time highs.
Compared to other red-hot technology companies, Broadcom has an attractive PEG ratio of just 1.6. That's almost cheap.
Is Broadcom a cheaper way to play the AI Revolution?
What Else Should You Know About Palo Alto Networks, Palantir and Broadcom?
Tune into this week's podcast to find out.

Bill Ackman Slammed Online For Tennis Loss After Accepting Wildcard

Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman's wildcard entry into a professional tennis tournament ended in swift defeat Wednesday, drawing sharp criticism from tennis fans and officials who questioned whether the hedge fund manager had earned his spot on the court. Bill Ackman, chief executive officer of Pershing Square Capital Management LP, takes a break during ... More his match at the third annual Finance Cup tennis tournament in Miami, Florida, U.S., on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Just before matches began at the Finance Cup tennis tournament near Miami Beach, bankers and investors huddled around hedge-fund manager Ackman to hear him riff about the stakes for his portfolio. Photographer: Mark Elias/Bloomberg © 2017 Bloomberg Finance LP Ackman announced his wildcard selection on X last Wednesday, writing that former Grand Slam winner Jack Sock managed to list him as his doubles partner at the Hall of Fame Open in Newport, Rhode Island—he also said he was 'pretty sure' he would be 'the oldest person in tennis history,' at 59 years old, to win Association of Tennis Professionals points. The Hall of Fame Open is a competitive ATP tournament Challenger series event held on grass courts, with participants generally selected based on ATP rankings, wildcards entries and qualifiers. Sock, 32, retired from professional tennis in 2023 to pursue a career in pickleball and was suddenly given a wildcard for the Newport event, and listed Ackman, a longtime tennis lover, as his partner (players can select anyone as their partner, regardless of status). Social media users mocked Ackman after he and Sock lost 6-1, 7-5 to Australians Omar Jasika and Bernard Tomic, and an op-ed published in USA Today slammed Ackman's entry as a 'mockery of pro tennis,' blasting Sock for giving 'no indication that he's planning a comeback' and Ackman because 'you can't find results' on him 'in any of the public tennis databases kept by the USTA.' Randy Walker, the director for the Vero Beach Futures tennis tournament—an International Tennis Federation tournament—took to X after the match to post, 'I just watched the absolute worst professional tennis match I have ever seen,' noting Ackman and Sock's loss. A wildcard is a special entry granted by tournament organizers that allows a player to enter the main draw or qualifying rounds without meeting the usual ranking or qualification criteria. They are typically given to former top players, promising young players, local players or players with promotional value. Chief Critic Walker, who has served as the tournament director for Vero Beach Futures since 2017, said on X that he wanted to 'provide some commentary' and insights on the Newport match, but that he was 'too sick to my stomach over it to do so right now.' Earlier on Wednesday, Walker slammed Ackman for not 'earning' his wildcard, referencing 53-year-old James Bragg, who was given a wildcard into the USTA Pro Circuit tournament in Vero Beach after winning a doubles event in 2023. Walker has also criticized Ackman on X for saying he would be 'the oldest person in tennis history at 59 to win ATP points,' pointing to Gardnar Mulloy, who 'earned' his ATP ranking at 64 at a Grand Prix event played in North Miami, Florida, in 1978.

Award: Bus terminal staging and storage facility and ramp Value: $1.87 billion Location: New York City Client: Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Tutor Perini has won a $1.87 billion guaranteed maximum price contract to construct the staging and storage facility and ramp structure components of the Midtown Bus Terminal Redevelopment in New York City, according to a June 30 news release from the Los Angeles-based company. The project is designed to replace the existing 75-year-old, functionally obsolete facility and to improve the commuter experience at the world's busiest bus terminal, per the release. When complete, the new station will include a new main terminal, a separate storage and staging building and new ramps leading into and out of the Lincoln Tunnel. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is funding the bulk of the construction costs. Tutor Perini's scope of work includes building a seven-floor steel-clad storage and staging facility, which will accommodate indoor storage for up to 350 buses and will serve as a temporary bus terminal during future construction of a new main bus terminal, per the release. The job entails the construction of the core and shell of the staging and storage facility, and Tutor Perini will procure the remainder of the components through a series of competitive bid processes closer to the time needed in order to reduce cost risk and ensure price certainty, per a Port Authority news release. The project scope also includes the construction of a ramp encompassing the block that will allow buses to move into and out of the above-grade bus levels of the replacement facility to and from the Lincoln Tunnel, according to the release. Overall, the project is expected to create approximately 6,000 union construction jobs, according to the project website. The Dyer Avenue deck-overs portion broke ground at the end of May. In August 2022, the Port Authority tapped Chicago-based A. Epstein & Sons International and London-headquartered Foster+Partners to design and engineer the new facility. AECOM Tishman is serving as construction manager for the Dyer Avenue deck-overs project, the New York City-based firm announced in January 2025. Tutor Perini expects to begin work in the fall, with completion of the currently scheduled and funded work anticipated in the fall of 2028. The overall project is expected to wrap in 2032.
