BINI to drop playful new single ‘Shagidi' on June 5
Dubbed 'The Nation's Girl Group,' BINI teased the upbeat track with a playful video referencing the classic Filipino game Shagidi, Shagidi, Shapopo, hinting at a fun and energetic vibe. The song's artwork—designed by group member Maloi—features graffiti-style text with a colorful jeepney in the backdrop.

'Shagidi' arrives while BINI is in the middle of their first world tour, which kicked off in Dubai on May 18. Earlier this year, the group released their EP BINIVerse, featuring hits like 'Cherry on Top,' 'Blink Twice,' and 'Zero Pressure.'
In May, BINI was also named to Forbes Asia's prestigious 30 Under 30 list for 2024, further cementing their status in the music industry.

Christian Bautista teams up with Indonesia's Raisa for soulful take on ‘Rainbow'
Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista has teamed up with Indonesian singer-songwriter Raisa for a reimagined version of the OPM classic 'Rainbow.' The duet was officially released under Bautista's new label, Sony Music Entertainment, and is now available on major streaming platforms. Originally performed by South Border, 'Rainbow' is now transformed into a soulful pop-R&B ballad, blending Bautista's smooth baritone with Raisa's warm vocals. Bautista shared that 'Rainbow' has always been close to his heart and resonates strongly with both Filipino and Indonesian audiences. 'Working on it with Raisa gave it new energy and meaning,' he said. Raisa also expressed her connection to the song, admitting she was surprised to learn it was originally by a Filipino group. 'It's not just about love but about life. It's a reassurance of the rainbow after the rain,' she said. BINI Aiah explores Mongolia after world tour
BINI member Aiah recently gave fans a glimpse of her trip to Mongolia through a travel diary shared on TikTok, highlighting her experiences immersing herself in the country's rich culture and natural beauty. The P-pop idol tried local cuisine, wore traditional Mongolian clothing, and enjoyed a scenic road trip through the countryside. One of the highlights of her trip was sleeping inside a Mongolian ger, or yurt, a portable, circular tent made of flexible poles and fabric, traditionally used for centuries in Central Asia. Aiah also attended a live concert featuring traditional Mongolian music played with local instruments, further deepening her cultural experience. The trip came after BINI completed their 15-city 'BINIverse' world tour, which brought them to Dubai, London, Toronto, New York City, Boston, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and more. The group capped off the tour with a homecoming fan meeting at the SM Mall of Asia Arena last June. In a past interview with Metro magazine, Aiah spoke candidly about adjusting to life as an idol. She shared that while the demanding schedule and constant spotlight were challenging at first, she is learning to adapt, crediting her support system, including friends who are ready to make time for her even on short notice. 'Either super planned out months in advance or spontaneous talaga,' Aiah said. 'I'm grateful I have friends like that.' She also shared how spending quality time with her fellow BINI members strengthens their bond, saying, 'Parang anything now, we get to do together.'
