Thailand-Cambodia conflict: Avoid these 7 provinces in Thailand as per travel advisory
As of July 25, seven provinces in eastern Thailand have been flagged as 'not recommended for travel' by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). The advisory follows ongoing military clashes near the border that have resulted in casualties and widespread displacement.
Affected provinces
Indian travelers are advised to avoid the following provinces:
Ubon Ratchathani
Surin
Sisaket
Buriram
Sa Kaeo
Chanthaburi
Trat
Specific tourist attractions in these areas, such as Phu Chong–Na Yoi National Park in Ubon Ratchathani and Khao Phra Wihan National Park in Sisaket, have also been listed as off-limits.

In Surin, historic temple ruins like Prasat Ta Muen Thom, Prasat Ban Pluang, and forest parks close to the border are to be avoided. Similarly, sensitive border zones in Sa Kaeo—such as Rong Kluea Market and Ban Khlong Luek Checkpoint—have been marked as unsafe.
The Embassy of India shared the advisory on its official handle on X (formerly Twitter), urging travelers to stay updated via Thai government sources, including the TAT Newsroom.

The situation turned serious as clashes between Thai and Cambodian forces led to 14 Thai deaths and 46 injuries, according to Thailand's Ministry of Public Health. Cambodia has not released details of its casualties.

American Youtuber Tyler Oliveria recalled his India trip where he claimed to have faced hygiene issues after eating at 5-star hotels which 'source eggs from a filthy chicken farm' located next to a mountain of trash. The hotel apparently sourced their eggs from a filthy chicken farm right next to a literal mountain of trash. There are serious hygiene issues that must be addressed in India. It is NOT racist to address the poor quality of life most Indians are subjected to while the upper caste insulates themselves from reality,' Tyler said. Many remarked in the comment section that he was 'defaming' the country. To put an end to criticism of what he described, the youtuber went on to share his medical reports as well. He further reacted to a user's comment, 'The 5 star hotels were about $100 a night. It was budget travel relative to American standards. Ambani has a billion dollar tower overlooking the slums. Your anger is misplaced.' Tyler didn't stop here and later shared a video showcasing 'largest chicken & egg market next to trash-infested landfill...' in Delhi. He mentioned, 'It smells pretty bad here. Look at those flies just eating away. The shrimp I ate at the hotel from here probably right.' Another confirmed, 'all from here'. The Vande Bharat Express typically has two classes of coaches: AC Executive Class (EC) and AC Chair Car (CC). A standard 16-coach Vande Bharat train includes 14 AC Chair Car coaches and two Executive Class coaches, with a total seating capacity of 1,128 passengers.
