Map reveals the UK cities who have the longest-lasting sex sessions
The residents of Glasgow are truly going the distance, having penetrative sex for an average of 29 minutes and 41 seconds — and that's before you even factor in foreplay.
It's particularly impressive given that men typically ejaculate less than six minutes into sex, according to Dr Crystal Wyllie.
But the Asda Online Doctor survey of more than 2,000 Brits revealed that Scots aren't the only ones who like to take their time in the bedroom.
Finishing (pun intended) a close second was Belfast, with an average sex session of 28 minutes and 22 seconds, closely followed by Sheffield, whose residents pride themselves on having sex for an average of 27 minutes and 28 seconds.
Coming (pun also intended) in at fourth was Liverpool, where locals spend 26 minutes and 16 seconds doing the deed on average. You'll want to be careful here though, because the city also has 21,000 cases of chlamydia – the highest of anywhere in the country.
Rounding out the top five was Norwich with an average duration is 25 minutes and 55 seconds. This is interesting given it's also the city where the most people are seeking divorce – but then, there's nothing like a post-breakup rendezvous.
Next on the list was Nottingham at 25 minutes and 53 seconds, while Plymouth and Leeds followed with 24 minutes and 55 seconds, and 24 minutes and 33 seconds.

Londoners only managed to claim the number 10 spot, a whole 50 seconds behind Southamptoners whose romps last 23 minutes and 57 seconds.
If you're feeling like you're not quite living up to these lofty heights, don't lose sleep over it. The preferred national average for sex is actually 23 minutes and 45 seconds, but it differs between men and women.
Men prefer things to last for more than two minutes longer than women, and just 15% of guys think good sex lasts between five to 10 minutes compared to 18% of women.
Either way, gay and lesbian couples blow straight couples out the water, citing 41 minutes as their ideal length of time to have sex.
Two thirds of Brits admit their mind has wandered during sex, but if it's not love on the brain, what is it?
For women, work stress is the most common distraction with more than 22% thinking about their career.
More than one in five also think about household chores or errands, while financial worries are on 19% of women's minds.
Men were slightly different, with their most common thought (21%) being an ex-partner. More Trending
A further 18% have been distracted by thinking about a friend, followed by celebrities (16%), a work colleague (13%) and their partner's best friend (9%) or partner's sibling (7%).
Work stress and financial worries were also prevalent thoughts for 17% and 11% of men respectively.
If they're trying to keep going for well over 20 minutes though, maybe a little mental tangent is to be expected.

'Disability drives innovation' - 7 things we use daily that were made for disabled people
Content creator, '@chronicallyjenni' is creating a wave of positive praise and awareness for the community after sharing a video highlighting the everyday tools first invented for disabled people In light of the disability cuts made by Labour's Welfare Bill on July 1, disability organisations, allies and content creators have come together online to educate the Brits on the ways disabled people have contributed to everyday life. Achieving over 428,000 likes on Instagram, Influencer Chronically Jenni 's reel shows viewers the everyday parts of life derived from the needs of the disabled community. Her activism is one of a chorus of voices paving the way for disability awareness and rights in the UK. "Disability drives innovation. Accessibility helps everyone. So next time you use one of these, remember where it came from. Be sure to share this so more people realise the impact disability has on their lives," Jenni said in her viral video. Ramps Perhaps the most obvious, ramps were first built for wheelchair access, tackling the obstacle of stairs. Now, they're the easiest route for parents with prams, cyclists on bikes and travellers with suitcases. The caption of her post says: "You know the little ramp at the end of a pavement? That's called a curb cut; made for wheelchair users. But now used by parents with buggies, cyclists, people with suitcases and more". Coining it "the curb cut effect," Jenni went on to show how "access for disabled people ends up helping everyone". Velcro The Velcro on trainers and school bags that makes every life easier was initially used by those in disability care. Jenni shares that this was "long before" the product became the replacement for shoelaces, and kids' best friend. The electric toothbrush An estimated 34 million Brits use an electric toothbrush for dental hygiene, according to Dental Health - and they may be surprised to find out that their 'swear-by' toothbrushes were or "originally designed for people with limited grip or coordination". Text-to-speech and voice aids Used in corporate, universities and a majority of Smart technologies, dictation tools used to help type and read-aloud texts were first made for the blind and visually impaired. "What first began as a literary and verbal aid is now how most smartphone users place calls, make notes and even set timers as they cook," suggests Jenni. Audiobooks Another aid for blind and visually impaired readers, the ever-popular audiobook is increasingly used by fans of #BookTok and commuters alike. The tool has also been made available on Spotify, Audible and Apple, and is now a Gen-Z favourite for entertainment on-the-go. Touchless and automatic doors Saving the general public significant time pushing heavy doors open for queues, the now staple of modern supermarkets, stores, airports and hospitals is the automatic door. Whilst this may not be as shocking as the electric toothbrush, it is important to realise how inclusive architecture helps all - especially those in fast-paced environments. Subtitles and captions Created for those experiencing deafness, the infamous 'subs' are a "on or off" debate between film and TV fans worldwide. 'It's too hot to sleep so I made my own DIY air con for £1 - it cools me down in seconds'
With heatwaves plaguing the UK more often, people are desperately looking for ways to stay cool - without adding to their energy bills - and this life hack is worth a try If you are finding you can't sleep in sweltering temperatures, this life hack is well worth a try. The UK is experiencing heatwaves with increasing regularity, but most of our homes are not designed for hot weather - and few people have air conditioning units in their homes. Given that most of the year Brits are enduring cold, rainy, and grey days, it makes a lot of sense that people often don't want to spend too much money on keeping their houses cool. This does mean, however, that when we experience scorching temperatures, it can be pretty unbearable, particularly when trying to nod off and get some much-needed rest. Experts share vital ways to revive your tired and dried-out grass during hot weather Weather maps reveal date summer will return with blazing sunshine and 27C highs There are some do-it-yourself options that you can consider when trying to keep your bedroom cool - that will assure you a better night's sleep, and won't break the bank. This life hack was posted by Iceland supermarket on its official TikTok account, and all you will need for it is a fan and a cheap and cheerful bag of ice cubes to create your own version of an air con, keeping you cool as you head off to sleep. First up, you need to grab a bowl - ideally not a small one. Then fill it with ice and place it directly in front of where your fan is positioned. Fans don't actually cool down the temperature of your rooms, but they can make you feel cooler, and this nifty trick will mean that the air blown through the fan is being lowered in temperature by the ice in front of it, making your bedroom a much more pleasant place to sleep. A 2kg bag of ice will only set you back £1 from Iceland, £1.30 from Tesco and Sainsburys, or 85p from Lidl. Whilst you will need to top up your bowl of ice as it melts, this cost combined with the amount it will set you back to run a fan throughout the night - or at least the couple of hours as you're settling down to sleep, is a fraction of what an air conditioning unit would be. There are some other simple adaptations you can make to try and get a proper amount of rest when the temperatures rise. Firstly, if your bedroom windows get a lot of sunshine, make sure that in the hours light would be pouring in, you keep them firmly closed, as well as the blind or curtain - this will help keep the room cooler overall, and you can always crack the windows open once the temperatures have dropped in the evening. Opt for a lukewarm shower an hour before you go to bed, this will help you feel refreshed, but also relaxed - cold and hot showers should be avoided during high temperatures. Finally, consider what material your bedding is made from, and perhaps ditch the duvet altogether. Linen sheets are best in a heatwave, because the fabric is breathable and can absorb a decent amount of moisture before feeling wet or damp - which is perfect for a sweaty night. If you don't have linen bedding, then go for cotton, but try and avoid polyester when the mercury starts to rise.

Tesco and M&S shoppers ditch wine for 'best flavour' 9 calorie drink loved by Sophie Habboo
TRIP's Wild Strawberry become the biggest food and drink release in Europe on TikTok Shop - now, shoppers can save 55% on the tipple It's not at all uncommon for many Brits to pour a glass of wine or grab a beer after a long day at work. However, a new supermarket beverage has seen shoppers ditch the booze in favour of an alcohol-free alternative - and we've found a way to get it better than half-price. TRIP is a brand that's been gaining traction for their sparkling beverages, with influencers and celebrities such as Sophie Habboo, Millie Mackintosh and Grace Beverley all heaping praise on the alcohol-free tipple. And the newest flavour, Wild Strawberry, is already generating buzz on social media. Coming in a pastel-pink can, it's been hailed 'gorgeous' and 'refreshing', particularly for summer. Many have said it's helped them to cut down on their weekly alcohol intake, too, making it ideal for designated drivers, sober-curious shoppers or anyone looking for a low-calorie alternative to alcohol this summer. Made with sparkling water, fermented grape juice concentrate and fruit juices, each can of the Wild Strawberry beverage contains nine calories - significantly less than a can of Coca-Cola, which contains 139. It's also infused with magnesium and botanicals like lion's mane, lemon balm, and chamomile, designed to help drinkers wind down and relax. While available at major supermarkets such as Sainsbury's, Tesco, Waitrose, M&S, Selfridges, TRIP is currently offering customers 55% off their multipacks on their own website. Usually £48 for a pack of 24, shoppers who use the code SUMMER55 can bag them for £23.76 when they subscribe and save, which is less than £1 per can. TRIP Wild Strawberry Product Description Elsewhere, Dash sparkling water has launched a new cherry flavour and customers can get 12 cans for £15.99 or £12.99 on subscription. The two calorie drink is made using wonky cherries with no sugar or sweeteners for a healthy soft drink that's refreshing and 'delicious'. Alternatively, there's the cheekily named G Spot, produced by a company founded by Sex Education actress and 'Want' author Gillian Anderson. They're said to be a 'clean, bold alternative to sugary energy drinks'. The caffeine-free, low sugar sparkling blend is made with botanicals designed to help reduce tiredness and fatigue. As well as having a hefty discount, TRIP has teamed up with the mental wellbeing app, Calm. Shoppers can unlock a free three-month Calm membership, delivering access to sleep stories, meditations, and breathing exercises. It's pretty safe to say that the new flavour has proven popular, becoming the biggest food and drink release in Europe on TikTok Shop and becoming the number one selling drink on the platform. It's also been racking up a number of reviews on the TRIP website, with one comment reading: 'Lovely flavour and helps me relax in the evenings instead of a couple of glasses of wine.' 'Love this flavour, tastes of strawberry but isn't sickly like a lot of strawberry flavoured things,' said another, while a third added: 'Such a summery taste, so refreshing and chilled me out on a beautiful sunny day.' One person commented on how it's 'Not a very strong strawberry taste' saying that it was 'quite weak'. But others disagree, with one saying it was the 'best flavour yet'. Another wrote: 'My favourite TRIP so far - tastes delicious, with a really natural flavour. Helps me unwind before bed - no need for a glass of wine now.' A Trustpilot reviewer complained about the cost, commenting: 'The drinks taste great but are expensive if not on sale or special offer. Delivery was very slow.' Another shopper said: 'Having tried the other flavours of Mindful Blend drinks, this one is by far my favourite. So thirst quenching and amazing for summer instead of alcohol. I've cut down my alcohol intake massively thanks to Mindful Blend and I'm so happy I now have a new flavour I can add to my fridge.' Celebrities, too, have been enjoying the drink. In fact, Sophie Habboo loved the brand so much with a can often in her hand during her Wednesdays podcast, that last year she invested into TRIP. She told her followers: 'I've been a huge fan of TRIP for a while now - @wednesdayspodcast listeners you will have seen me with a TRIP in my hand long before they reached out about working together. Their drinks are a game-changer, bringing calm and balance into busy days.' Millie Mackintosh is also a fan, having shared a video of the new Wild Strawberry earlier this month. She described them as: 'Refreshing, slightly tart, and exactly what I want on a hot day when I'm not drinking but still want something that feels a bit special.'
