Cha Eun Woo is all set to enter his military phase as a member of the ROK band on July 28. Becoming the second one from the boy group ASTRO to enlist, following the oldest member, MJ, there has been a lot of anticipation about his time in the South Korean military. Just one day ahead of the start of his national service, the singer shared photos with his fans on social media, debuting the much-dreaded buzz cut. With probably the shortest possible hair length for the hairstyle, Cha Eun Woo's handsomeness was not in the least bit overshadowed. Cha Eun Woo shares first pics with military buzz cut Being one of the most famous idol-actors in the industry, fans have also expressed their sorrow about being unable to communicate with him for the coming one and a half years. To chat with them for what could be their last time in many months, he turned on a YouTube live stream talking about how he hasn't been able to accept it. And while the others around him were getting upset and missing him already, it wasn't until he got the buzz cut that it hit him. Leaving his parting message, Cha Eun Woo said while shooting hearts at the viewers of his livestream, 'Let's meet again once my body and mind are healthier. I'll say goodbye for now. Bye-bye! I'll go and come back safely. Don't get hurt, and be careful of the heat. Once again, thank you and love you. Bye.' He also shared photos with fellow ASTRO members and Moon Sua, the sister of late member Moonbin, showing moments from their final meal together before his enlistment. All set to be gone for 18 months, Cha Eun Woo will become a part of the Korean military band, which he is said to have joined after a rigorous application process. After beginning his mandatory service, the star is likely to get training for 2 weeks and then get placed at his base. It is believed that fans will be able to spot him performing at military festivals and more such public events that the ROK band takes part in. Superman' box office collections day 17: James Gunn's film stays the course; soars past Rs 3600 Cr globally

James Gunn's Superman (3D) is showing no signs of slowing down globally. With a whopping worldwide gross of Rs 3603.76 crore, the film has become one of the standout performers of the year internationally. In India, while the total net collection stands at Rs 47.95 crore, the movie has earned an estimated gross of Rs 57.26 crore, as reported by the Sacnilk website. Regional versions contribute The film's dubbed Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi versions have shown patchy performances in contrast. Telugu has collected Rs 1.67 crore so far, with the early days contributing the bulk. Tamil fared similarly with Rs 1.84 crore net, where the peak was mostly during the first weekend. The Hindi version has pulled in Rs 9.65 crore so far, thanks to support from Hindi-speaking metros and decent Sunday traction during the first two weekends. Although numbers started tapering off post Day 10, the Hindi audience has shown a steady trickle. Strong start, predictable dip, and weekend revival 'Superman' launched with Rs 7.25 crore on day 1 and picked up further on its first Saturday with Rs 9.5 crore. The film saw a minor drop on Sunday but maintained momentum, closing its opening weekend with Rs 26 crore. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Casa Maquista chefs explore turmeric's essence in Macanese cuisine. Though far from record-breaking, 'Superman's numbers reflect a stable theatrical presence, aided by Gunn's fresh take on the DC universe and a cast that brings renewed energy to familiar capes. With a few more days of run ahead, the film may inch closer to the Rs 50 crore milestone in India. The film features David Corenswet as the iconic Superman alongside Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult , Isabela Merced , Nathan Fillion , Anthony Carrigan, and Edi Gathegi in prominent roles. Boys II Planet trainee faces backlash after photos of him with his pet cat raises 'animal abuse' concerns

One after another, the trainees from the survival show Boys II Planet have found themselves caught up in controversies. From accusations of being a BTS Jungkook anti to claims of bullying, and even one for having a girlfriend - everything is being scrutinized by fans online. Now, another contestant, Jeong Sanghyeon, has landed himself in hot water, this time facing charges of 'animal abuse'. The trainee is facing intense backlash online after photos of him carrying his pet cat outside for a walk and into a local mart went viral on social media, causing an uproar. While this may seem trivial to many, K-netizens have not taken this act lightly. Did Jeong Sanghyeon 'abuse' his cat? Jeong Sanghyeon found himself at the center of backlash after a series of photos surfaced online, allegedly showing him carrying his cat in public spaces - including during walks and even inside a local mart. While the images may have appeared endearing to some, others quickly raised red flags about the potential risks and lack of proper pet safety. It is also to be noted that none of these phots show Jeong Sanghyeon's face but only a male's back holding a cat. In most countries, including South Korea, animal welfare guidelines advise against bringing cats outdoors without the right precautions. Cats are easily startled in unfamiliar settings and, without a secure carrier or a harness and leash, they can quickly bolt or become distressed. The lack of restraint in Jeong's photos led many to question whether the animal's safety was being compromised. Korean fans unhappy What began as casual photos quickly escalated into a heated debate online. Netizens on the app Theqoo criticized the trainee for what they called "reckless" and "uninformed" behavior. Some even accused him of "animal abuse," arguing that exposing a cat to crowded, noisy environments without proper protection was both irresponsible and emotionally harmful. 'Just why would you take a cat on a walk?' 'As a cat owner, this makes me so stressed out.' 'Don't raise pets so easily.' 'Cat owners are so stressed about this. Isn't it better to remove the post?' 'He's treating the cat like an accessory or doll.' At present, neither Jeong Sanghyeon nor the Boys II Planet production team has issued any statement regarding the allegations.
