Yuvika Chaudhary opens up about rumoured separation from Prince Narula, says she was living with her mother during pregnancy: ‘There was a huge distance between us…'

Last year, the media was abuzz with speculation about a possible separation between Yuvika Chaudhary and Prince Narula following the news of Yuvika's pregnancy. While neither of them addressed the rumours at the time, Yuvika has now spoken candidly about navigating those challenging moments and the strength she found with Prince by her side.
In a heartfelt conversation on the Hindi Rush podcast, Yuvika shared her experience: 'Since I was pregnant, I didn't want to give those rumours too much importance. I chose to react subtly and didn't create a scene. I thought if I made a fuss, it would only get worse. but I didn't realise it would escalate regardless. For me, the pregnancy phase was far more important than any gossip. I believed that such things come and go in life, but the time I had with my pregnancy would never come back. So I ignored everything. But that ignorance weighed heavily on me. I realized that if I spoke out then, it might have only made things worse, so I chose silence.'
She further added, 'Pregnancy meant more to me at that time. When the baby came, that became my priority, not answering questions from others. I built a wall around myself because I needed to focus on my life, my baby, and healing my body. I had to become strong enough to take care of my child. The changes happening in your body during pregnancy are something no one truly understands. I learned that your pain is yours alone. No matter how much you share it, it hurts the same. So, I decided it's better not to say anything or share my problems with anyone. I prefer to keep my struggles to myself rather than explaining or justifying them to others.'
Speaking about Prince's support during this time, she said: 'He was a great support. Of course, life was busy, but as a couple, we needed to show understanding. There were misunderstandings because that phase naturally came with some confusion. But I knew it was just a phase and why it was happening. Pregnancy brings emotional ups and downs, mood swings where sometimes you're happy, sometimes sad, and sometimes you want your partner right beside you. He did whatever he could to be there for me. Looking at it from both perspectives helps. These phases come and go, but at the end of the day, what matters most is that a child is on the way.'

Yuvika also revealed that during this period they had other responsibilities to manage: 'At home, there was a lot of interior work going on. Prince had always wanted a bigger home where the baby could grow up. So, when my pregnancy happened, the renovation work also began. It was a busy time. I shifted to my mother's house because during pregnancy, you need lots of love and care. Prince could either focus on work or be with me, and he decided it was best for me to stay with my mom, where I'd get all the care I needed. Later, he also moved there for some time. Taking care of the house, shoots, and everything else was a lot. And I don't think it's a sin for a woman to live with her parents during pregnancy, everyone does it. But those who didn't understand this made it an issue. I was determined not to justify myself or give attention to such things, I just wanted to focus on the baby.'
She also touched upon how the rumours affected Prince: 'Prince is a bit emotional; hearing things from people affected him. So I tried to talk to him through it. There was also a huge distance between us back then because he stayed at one place while I was at another. But that phase passed.'
Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary met on the sets of Bigg Boss Season 9. They married on October 12, 2018. After six years of marriage, they announced Yuvika's pregnancy in June 2024 and joyfully welcomed their daughter, Ekleen, in October that year.

This actor debuted with Deepika Padukone, married and became a parent the same year, but film success eluded her

Deepika Padukone is one of the top actors in the Hindi film industry. She made her debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the 2007 blockbuster Om Shanti Om, and since then, her career graph has only soared higher each year. Interestingly, Deepika shares a connection with another actor who also made her debut in Om Shanti Om. The two tied the knot the same year (2018) and welcomed daughters the same year (2024). But their professional journeys couldn't be more different. The actor we're talking about is none other than Yuvika Chaudhary. In a recent interview, Yuvika reflected on this uncanny connection between her and Deepika. She recalled how both featured in different songs from singer Himesh Reshammiya's popular music album Aap Kaa Surroor before entering films with Om Shanti Om. While Deepika appeared in the hit track 'Naam Hai Tera,' Yuvika featured in 'Wada Tainu.' Speaking about this shared timeline, Yuvika told Hindi Rush, 'I didn't notice these many similarities in our lives. This is destiny. There is definitely some connection. We featured in Himesh Reshammiya's album in which she featured in one song and I featured in another. We used to sit together and chill at that time.' Talking about her experience working with Deepika, she added, 'She is very hard working and a very nice girl. She is passionate for work. It feels nice to see her in interviews and sometimes I would get angry when people would troll her.' Yuvika also weighed in on Deepika Padukone's reported disagreement with filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga regarding her preference for an 8-hour work schedule post-motherhood. Yuvika revealed she herself had turned down good projects to prioritize her family. '14-18 hours are gone during shooting then you don't get time to live your life,' she said. 'It's not easy to become a mother and then to work after becoming a mom is not at all easy. She loves work that's why she is willing to work. She deserves that much respect after she has worked for so many years. She is right, she should get that time. People shouldn't be this ruthless. This journey is difficult, they should support.' After debuting in Om Shanti Om, Yuvika appeared in films like Summer 2007, Toh Baat Pakki!, Naughty @ 40, Khap, Enemmy, and others—none of which made a significant mark at the box office. She also had a role in the Akshay Kumar-led multi-starrer The Shaukeens, but that too failed to succeed commercially. With her film career not taking off, Yuvika shifted her focus to television. She participated in reality shows like India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj, Bigg Boss 9, MTV Splitsvilla 10, and Nach Baliye 9, which she won alongside her husband Prince Narula. She was last seen in the 2022 TV show Cyber Vaar. Meanwhile, after Om Shanti Om, Deepika starred in Bachna Ae Haseeno opposite Ranbir Kapoor and quickly became one of the most sought-after female stars in Bollywood. She headlined films opposite major stars such as Akshay Kumar (Chandni Chowk to China), Saif Ali Khan (Love Aaj Kal), Farhan Akhtar (Karthik Calling Karthik), and Irrfan (Piku). She reunited with Shah Rukh Khan for Chennai Express, and more recently in Pathaan, Jawan, and the upcoming The King.

Prince Harry slams ‘defamatory' claims of fight with Prince Andrew over Meghan Markle

Prince Harry has strongly denied claims that he physically attacked his uncle, Prince Andrew, during a heated confrontation over alleged comments made about Meghan Markle more than a decade ago. 'I can confirm Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight, nor did Prince Andrew ever make the comments he is alleged to have made about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry,' a spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex told The New York Post. The representative as per the report described the allegations as 'gross inaccuracies, damaging and defamatory remarks.' The denial comes in response to claims made in royal author Andrew Lownie's upcoming book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, obtained by the Daily Mail. According to the book, Prince Harry allegedly punched Prince Andrew during a 'heated argument' after the latter reportedly referred to Meghan Markle as an 'opportunist' behind Harry's back. Lownie's book claims the confrontation left Andrew with a 'bloody nose' after 'punches were thrown.' The alleged incident is said to have occurred more than a decade ago, well before Harry and Meghan's 2018 wedding. At that time, Meghan Markle was still an actress best known for her role in the television series Suits. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been estranged from the royal family for more than five years, following their decision to step back from royal duties and move to Montecito, California. They now live there with their two children, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4. The couple's strained relationship with the monarchy has remained the subject of ongoing public and media interest, with frequent scrutiny of their interactions—or lack thereof—with other members of the royal family.

Yuvika Chaudhary Weighs In On Deepika Padukone's 8-Hour Shift Demand: ‘Itna Bhi Ruthless...'

Last Updated: Yuvika Chaudhary backs Deepika Padukone's 8-hour shift demand, says working after becoming a mother isn't easy and actors deserve respect for their experience. Deepika Padukone's exit from Spirit has stirred a debate surrounding fixed working hours for actors. Several celebrities have been talking about and giving their views on the topic, and now Yuvika Chaudhary, who is also a new mom, has reacted to the ongoing discussion and backed Deepika Padukone on the topic. In a conversation with Pinkvilla's Hindi Rush, Yuvika opened up about Deepika's demand and shared, 'Ek toh maa banna aasan nahi hai aur maa banne ke baad kaam karna toh bilkul bhi aasan nahi hai. Voh unki definitely demand hogi. Unko kaam se pyaar hai isiliye toh voh kaam kar rahe hai, kaam pe aa rahe hai vapis." (It is not easy to be a mother, and it is not easy at all to work after becoming a mother. That will definitely be her demand. She loves working and that is why she is working; she is coming back to work.) 'Joh aap industry mein itne saalon se kaam kar rahe ho, utni respect toh milna zaroori hai," (She has been working in the industry for so many years, so she deserves that respect) she added while sharing how Deepika's demands are absolutely right. She further continued and stated that no one should be this ruthless towards a new mother, saying, 'So I think she is right. She should get that time because itna bhi aapko ruthless nahi hona chahiye." (She should get that time and no one should be this ruthless.) 'And I'm sure it's not forever. It's a give and take. When you have done a certain amount of work, I think you should get that respect," Yuvika concluded. Bollywood's Ongoing Debate Over Work Hours For the unversed, the debate over work hours in Bollywood started after Deepika Padukone's departure from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming film Spirit. Reports claimed that the actress, who recently embraced motherhood, requested to limit her workday to eight hours — a clause that reportedly didn't sit well with the filmmaker. Several celebrities, including Vikrant Massey, Rashmika Mandanna, Neha Dhupia, Anurag Basu, and others, came out in support of Deepika amid the ongoing discussion. On the work front, Deepika Padukone is all set to collaborate with Atlee once again after the blockbuster hit Jawan. She is reportedly going to play a pivotal role in Shah Rukh Khan's King. Meanwhile, director Mohit Suri is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Saiyaraa, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda.
