In an interaction with Varinder Chawla's YouTube channel, Prateik recalled how Smita would bring her lunch from home and sit on the floor with light men and share food with them.
"Such a big superstar, Smita Patil, eating lunch on the floor. One day Amitabh Bachchan called her to the side and said listen you are screwing it up for people like us. Tum baithte ho neeche aise sab ke sath toh hum kharab dikhte hain kyunki hum nahi karenge toh hum kharab dikhenge. Humko bhi karna padega abhi. Hum bure lag rahe hain aapki wajah se. (You sit on the floor with everyone, and it makes us look bad because we aren't doing it. We would also have to do it because it looks bad otherwise). And she was bindaas, she was like, aap jao van mein, main kha rahi hu (You go to the van, I am eating here)," Prateik said.
Amitabh and Smita worked together in films like Shakti (1982), Namak Halaal (1982), and Pet Pyar Aur Paap (1984). Smita also made a guest appearance in Sharabi (1984), which had Jaya Prada as the female lead.
Prateik was recently seen in the movie HIT: The Third Case. Helmed by Sailesh Kolanu, the film features Nani and Srinidhi Shetty in lead roles, along with Surya Srinivas, Rao Ramesh, Komalee Prasad, Nepoleon and others in key roles.

I try to mix things up with cardio and strength training, which keeps it interesting and effective." The Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin actor, who has recently incorporated yoga and meditation into his daily routine, reveals that these mindful practices help him stay calm and centered, especially on long and stressful shoot days. It's my way of clearing my head, relaxing after a long day, or just enjoying some quiet time with myself," he said. He also spoke about the importance of warm-ups before action-heavy roles. The actor added, 'When it comes to action scenes, I make sure I'm well-prepared. One important thing I've learned is to never skip warm-ups. Dinner is dal, roti, sabzi, and tofu to maintain my protein intake. I prefer everything home-cooked and light," he mentioned. Coming to skincare, the actor keeps it minimal. He noted, 'Since we're under makeup and lights for long hours, I just make sure I stay hydrated and moisturise properly. I like to keep it natural and simple. That works best for me." In the same interview, Shakti revealed that the more natural the routine, the better he feels overall. He said, 'I don't really believe in fancy detox drinks. For me, water is the best detox. Simplicity really is key when it comes to health. One habit I never skip is drinking warm water first thing in the morning. It gives me a fresh start to the day." Shakti Arora's Work Front The actor was last seen in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. The television show has undergone major shifts since its launch. Starting with the first generation, the show found success with leads Ayesha Singh, Neil Bhatt and Aishwarya Sharma. The baton was then passed to the second generation, which featured the trio Shakti Arora, Bhavika Sharma and Sumit Singh. The latest narrative starred Vaibhavi Hankare, Param Singh and Sanam Johar, but due to lower TRP, Bhavika re-entered the show, alongside Hitesh Bharadwaj and Amayra Khurana. view comments First Published: July 23, 2025, 14:45 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
