RCMP said they are searching for Mitchell Thomas Lannigan, 28, of Milltown Cross. Police said he is facing several charges, including: assault possession of a handgun possession of a handgun while prohibited two counts of pointing a firearm use of a firearm in a careless manner breach of a probation order Police describe Lannigan as white with brown hair and brown eyes. Police said he has a medium build, stands five feet eight inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds. RCMP said anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact West Prince RCMP at 902-853-9300, East Prince RCMP at 902-436-9300, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. ‘Serious incident' in Downtown Vancouver under investigation

Police are providing few details about what they describe as a 'serious incident' in and around Vancouver's Robson Square Sunday. Around 8:30 a.m. yellow police tape was blocking off the north end of the courthouse complex, snaking around buildings and cordoning off of nearby streets. A police drone was seen flying overhead and at least a dozen officers were on scene. The Vancouver Police Department provided a brief statement in response to a CTV News request for information. 'It's a serious incident that is under investigation by our Major Crime Section and we will have additional officers in the area throughout the day to collect evidence,' spokesperson Sgt. Steve Addison wrote in an email, adding that an update will be provided later Sunday or Monday morning. This story will be updated if more information is received.

Road near Temiskaming Shores reopens after multi-vehicle crash

Police announced the incident, which occurred between Sunnyside Road and Dutton Street in the Temiskaming Shores area, on social media at about 12:40 p.m. and the roadway reopened shortly after 2:30 p.m. The Temiskaming OPP detachment had advised drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while their investigation was ongoing. No further details about any injuries or the cause of the crash were released by authorities. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
