Newlyweds Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez seen for first time without £3m ring

Billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his new wife Lauren Sanchez stepped out in Venice for the first time since getting married, amid protests from critical anti-capitalists and locals
Newlyweds Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez have been spotted for the first time since tying the knot, albeit without Lauren's huge £3million diamond wedding ring. The happy couple marked the third day of their huge wedding celebration this morning, stepping out in Venice together.
They were all smiles as they waved and posed for photos following their 200-guest ceremony, in which they exchanged vows in front of their family and famous pals. But although the new Mrs Bezos debuted her estimated 35 carat diamond ring last night, she was without it today as she made an appearance in the Italian city.

Former journalist Sanchez, 55, and her 61-year-old Amazon founder groom had their ceremony on San Giorgio Maggiore Island yesterday (Friday, June 27). The billionaires were surrounded by high-profile guests, with the Kardashians, Oprah Winfrey, Orlando Bloom and Ivanka Trump among some of the attendees.

Rania Al Abdullah, the Queen of Jordan was also in attendance, alongside supermodels and actors. Guests were welcomed to the ceremony by a gospel choir, with the singers performing a rendition of Whitney Houston's Higher Love as the bride and groom entered.
The lavish celebration drew criticism from locals, who threatened to gatecrash the wedding, and displayed messages of disapproval in the city's St Mark's Square. But the show went on, and the couple are gearing up for their third and final evening of celebrations tonight at the Arsenale.
Although most celebrity guests partied into the early hours of Saturday morning, some slipped away early, with Kim and Khloe Kardashian already at the airport to depart the country first thing Saturday morning. Described by some as the 'wedding of the century', eyebrows were raised when Lauren's gift to her guests was branded "shameless".
While Jeff gifted his guests some luxe ViBi Venezia blue velvet slippers, Sanchez pushed the brand that made her husband a billionaire, handing out black open-toe slippers from Amazon. But one journalist was less than impressed with the whole affair, branding Lauren "tacky".

Katie Couric waded in on the last post from Jack Schlossberg, the writer famous for being the nephew of John F. Kennedy Jr. and the daughter of Caroline Kennedy. Schlossberg appeared to have poked fun at Bezos and Sánchez about their wedding celebration in Venice, Italy, this week.
He reposted the cover of Vogue on Friday which showed Lauren in her white lace wedding dress. Schlossberg captioned the photo: "Like I said … vogue." Lauren beamed in the snap, while wearing her dress which featured long sleeves and a figure hugging shape.
The floral lace hugged her hips before fanning out at the knees in a mermaid style. Couric then left a comment where she called the bride "tacky" in a cruel dig.

"Welcome to the eighties — when big hair and conspicuous consumption ruled. Apparently tacky is back," she wrote.
Schlossberg snapped back, replying: "Let's bring back scrunchies." Other Instagram
Another added: "Spot on! Money can't buy you class." A third wrote: "I am here for this kind of commentary."

Final party set to end Bezos-Sánchez wedding extravaganza in Venice

Newlyweds Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and journalist Lauren Sánchez left their luxury hotel on Venice's Grand canal on Saturday for a final night of partying, crowning a three-day star-studded wedding extravaganza. Bezos, 61, and Sanchez, 55, exchanged rings on Friday evening on the small island of San Giorgio, across the water from St Mark's Square, accompanied by singing from Matteo Bocelli, son of Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli. Bill Gates, Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom, Tom Brady, Jordan's Queen Rania, Oprah Winfrey, Kris Jenner and Kim and Khloé Kardashian, as well as Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, were among the A-listers present. Saturday's evening bash – wrapping up celebrations for 200-250 guests estimated to have cost $50m (£37m) – was due to take place in the Arsenale, a former medieval shipyard in an eastern district of the lagoon city. About 1,000 people marched against the event on Saturday, groups of activists and residents who objected to the wedding and to seeing Venice being gift-wrapped for the uber-wealthy. Some guests were seen leaving the Gritti Palace hotel in central Venice wearing their pyjamas, sometimes beneath colourful dressing gowns, before boarding small boats to reach the party. Bezos and Sánchez had a more sober style. He was sporting a black shirt and suit, while she wore a soft-pink off-the-shoulder dress. They kissed on the boat while greeting those around them. At the ceremony the bride wore a high-necked silhouette dress and a tulle and lace veil by Dolce & Gabbana, which she told Vogue magazine was based on Sophia Loren's dress to marry Cary Grant in the 1958 film, Houseboat. Sánchez was also wearing a pair of diamond earrings by Dolce & Gabbana, which, according to Vogue, was lent to her in keeping with the tradition that it brings good luck for a bride to wear something borrowed. Bezos, who is No 4 on Forbes' global billionaires list, donned a black tuxedo and bow tie over a white shirt. Friday's ceremony had no legal status under Italian law, a senior city hall official told Reuters, suggesting the couple may have previously wed legally in the United States to avoid the bureaucracy associated with an Italian marriage. While some residents and activists raged against Bezos as a symbol of inequality and arrogance, Venetian businesses and political leaders welcomed the luxury nuptials, hailing them as a major boost for the local economy. 'Those who protest are in contradiction with the history of Venice, which is a history of relations, contacts and business,' mayor Luigi Brugnaro told Reuters. 'Bezos embodies the Venetian mentality. He is more Venetian than the protesters,' said the centre-right mayor, adding that he hoped Bezos, who donated €3m (£2.5m) to local institutions, would return to the city to do business. Brugnaro said Bezos had attached no conditions to holding his wedding celebrations in Venice, and city hall had only learned about his donations after they had been made. Bezos, Amazon's executive chair, got engaged to Sánchez in 2023, four years after the collapse of his 25-year marriage to novelist and philanthropist MacKenzie Scott.

Orlando Bloom embraces bachelor vibes in pajamas at Bezos wedding after THAT hangout with Sydney Sweeney

Orlando Bloom embraced his new single status by sporting pajamas during Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez 's wedding weekend in Venice. The newest bachelor in Hollywood looked relaxed as he lounged on a boat in Venice just shortly after it was revealed that he and his fiancée Katy Perry had called it quits after nine years together. Earlier in the day, the 48-year-old actor was pictured spending time with Sydney Sweeney, 27, as they enjoyed a romantic stroll through the Venetian city streets alongside Tom Brady. The day earlier, he attended the billionaire Amazon founder's lavish wedding celebration in Italy by himself — while his now-ex was busy touring in Australia. As he prepared to attend the Bezos' post-nuptials soirée, he was seen basking in the golden hour rays and lounging in polkadot pajamas. He left the black-and-white sleep shirt unbuttoned to reveal black tank top and several pendant necklaces on his neck, sporting matching Dolce & Gabbana polkadot PJs. He left his hair purposefully tousled and looked calm and stoic as he leaned back as he and several pals traveled via water taxi to the next celebrity congregation spot in the city. At one point, he was seen throwing up his hand into a 'hang loose' shaka sign before throwing his arm around a friend as they started moving forward. It comes just hours after he enjoyed a city stroll alongside Sydney Sweeney and NFL legend Tom Brady — both of whom recently sparked romance rumors while attending what has been helmed as the 'wedding of the century.' After jetting off to Venice for the week of celebrations, Bloom made unwanted headlines after he was spotted in the back of a Venetian water taxi with a woman on Thursday. It came just a short time after news that Bloom and his fiancée Perry, 40, had called off their engagement broke. The woman spotted enjoying an evening with the A-lister was later revealed to be Jamie Mizrahi, 36, who was actually a former stylist for Perry and Meghan Markle. Bloom was also spotted enjoying a Venetian brunch the following morning and sipping on cocktails poolside with celebrity pals Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Brady during a boys' day out — while Perry continued her tour in Australia. Meanwhile Sweeney — who sparked romance rumors with Tom Brady after they were spotted chatting at a bar — was reportedly the 'most sought after' celebrity in Venice. A source told MailOnline: 'Sydney apparently is the most sought-after person to be around at the Bezos wedding. 'Everyone wants to talk to her and every guy that has been in her presence has talked about how stunning she is in real life.' The Euphoria star looked ethereal for the wedding on Friday, clad in a dazzling pink dress which complemented her blonde locks. The festivities are set to continue on Saturday night as the A-listers will once again gather for a huge party, though some guests including Kim and Khloe Kardashian left early. Sweeney was one of a host of stars to put on their best glam for what has widely been dubbed 'the wedding of the century'.

Following the intimate ceremony, the billionaire couple hosted a star-studded rave. The Bezos wedding began on Thursday with the first of three days of parties in Venice – but impeccable sources reveal that the Amazon founder and journalist-turned-philanthropist Lauren Sanchez are already married. A source closely connected to the organization of the week's events said: 'They have been married for at least a month, more than a month. 'The marriage is fully legal and took place in America under American law.' The source adds: 'When they were planning the wedding, they were clear about the fact that they were already secretly married There is no application for a wedding license from the couple because it was not required. 'Whatever happens at the wedding on Friday, it will not be a wedding. Under Italian law, it will not be a wedding celebration, any vows said or rings exchanged will have no legal meaning.' The source added that Bezos had personally confirmed that he and Sanchez – who met when both were married to other people – are already legally married, and that they had also signed a pre-nuptial agreement to protect his $244 billion (£177 billion) fortune.
