The six-piece had performed a medley of Feels Like the First Time, I Want to Know What Love Is and Juke Box Hero during last night's live finale.
And, at the end or their set, Kelly told fans guitarist Luis Maldonado will be taking over from him.
The singer said: 'Being the voice of Foreigner has been one of the greatest honours of my life.
'But it's time to pass the mic. Luis has the voice, the energy, and the soul to carry these songs into the future. I couldn't be prouder to hand this off to him.'
Luis, already a familiar face in the band's lineup, shared his excitement about the transition.
He gushed: 'This music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I'm ready to honour Foreigner's legacy and bring my heart to every performance.'
The group is currently in the midst of their Historic Farewell Tour, which will wrap up with multiple singers sharing frontman duties.
In a move that has kept fans guessing, the band revealed earlier this year that Kelly would not be joining them for their Canadian dates in October, followed by the news that he would also skip shows in Mexico and South America this April.
Adding to the uncertainty, Foreigner announced in March that Canadian stage actor and Broadway performer Geordie Brown would be fronting those Canadian shows.
It remains unclear whether Louis or Geordie will now take the lead for those dates.

Foreigner founder Mick Jones, who no longer performs live but remains involved with the band, reflected on the decision in a statement.
He said: 'In 1976, my goal was to assemble the finest group of musicians I could find. Results have shown that it worked!
"About thirty years later, Jason Bonham encouraged me to do it all over again and create a brand-new Foreigner, and the magic was still there.
"I was especially fortunate in the choice of lead singer.
"Kelly Hansen is one of the best front men in our business and over the last twenty years he has breathed new life into our songs.
"His boundless energy and flawless talent has helped us climb the mountain and set up the opportunity for Foreigner vocalist and guitarist, Luis Maldonado, to bring us home.
"I wish Kelly great happiness in his next endeavors after our summer tour, and I look forward to welcoming Luis to his new position.
"Luis was my choice as a guitarist and he has already shown us what he can do on lead vocals by fronting the band in South America to incredible reviews.
"He will soon lead the charge that will carry us forward to new heights."
Luis' debut as lead vocalist is already underway.
This month, Foreigner released two reworked versions of their classic hits - 1981's Urgent and I Want To Know What Love Is from 1984 - both sung in Spanish and featuring Luis on vocals.

How Orlando Bloom is turning into ‘world's worst ex' after Katy Perry split from cringe behaviour to nepo-baby parties
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) HE's failed to reclaim his leading man status, ever since playing a sea-faring adventurer in Pirates of the Caribbean over two decades ago. But Orlando Bloom has upped his swashbuckling adventures off-camera over the past few weeks, in the aftermath of his and Katy Perry's break-up. Sign up for the Entertainment newsletter Sign up 5 Actor Orlando Bloom looks glum posing with Katy Perry at an Oscars party in March Credit: Getty 5 Orlando in the VIP section at an Oasis gig with Liam Gallagher's sons Lennon and Gene Credit: Instagram/@orlandobloom 5 Orlando strolls in Venice with Sydney Sweeney Credit: BackGrid All that's left us wondering: has Orlando, 48, assumed his greatest role yet…as the worst ex ever? Because as far as he's concerned, his single era's in full Bloom. And he is making sure the world knows about it. Whether it's air-kissing the Kardashians and co at the Bezos-Sanchez wedding, or partying with nepo babies half his age at Oasis's concert in Manchester, the former heartthrob has been keeping himself busy. Meanwhile, his very recent ex has been grafting hard on her world tour, Lifetimes, and plastering on a smile following the end of their nine-year relationship. Read more on Orlando Bloom PERRY'S PAIN Katy Perry fights back tears onstage as she thanks fans after Orlando split His jam-packed social diary includes cringe-inducing selfies and videos, and a bleary-eyed appearance at Wimbledon the morning after the night before at Oasis. Rewinding two months, the actor was there to greet Katy, with their four-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, in tow, following her all-female, 11-minute space flight with Blue Origin in April. But behind the scenes, reports spread that the couple's out-of-this-world love had come crashing down to earth, amid rumours that Orlando wasn't happy with Katy's very attention-seeking spectacle. One month later, their engagement was reportedly over, and they were duly pictured on opposite sides of the world. For his part, Orlando rocked up solo to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's £20m wedding in Venice, while Katy - who's actually the one who's close to the billionaire pair - honoured her tour commitments in Australia. They had yet to confirm the split, but the writing was on the wall, as Orlando got busy 'partying and cosying up' to Sydney Sweeney, among the many A-listers in attendance, and hugging a 'mystery woman' - who later turned out to be Katy's stylist, Jamie Mizrahi. Emotional Katy Perry fights back tears onstage as she thanks fans after Orlando Bloom split And the cringey behaviour didn't stop there, as Orlando - the man who didn't like Katy's public spectacle - decided to run a lap of Venice in the shortest shorts possible. Needless to say, short-shrift was given to any alleged hopes he had of going incognito. Days later, the former couple announced in a statement that 'Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting. 'They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is - and always will be - raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.' Days later, they stayed true to their word - with Orlando sharing photos from a family holiday in Italy with Katy, Daisy Dove, and Orlando's son Flynn, 14, whom he shares with ex-wife Miranda Kerr. But after bidding the family arrivederci, the actor was off to the races - seemingly loving every minute of his newfound single life. Over the weekend, he posted a video from Oasis's concert at Heaton Park, where he hobnobbed in the VIP section with the band's kids, including Liam Gallagher's sons Lennon, 25, and Gene, 24. 5 Orlando on a yacht off Italy's Amalfi coast Credit: BackGrid 5 Orlando takes a water taxi with Jamie Mizrahi at the Bezos wedding last month Credit: BackGrid Singing blissfully into his phone, the actor sparked a mixed reaction. Some loved his unbridled love for the band; others found it just a wee bit cringeworthy. One commenter wrote: 'Midlife crisis on full display,' while another weighed in: 'Grow up.' A third added: 'Hasn't done anything since Lord of the Rings. 'Such a boring non-entity.' Not one to be deterred, the father of two partied into the night, before donning his fineries the following day to attend the Wimbledon Men's Final. Dressed in a Ralph Lauren suit - with sunglasses to supposedly disguise the inevitable hangover - the actor watched Jannik Sinner beat Carlos Alcaraz to take the top title. Taking to Instagram, he later wrote: 'What a game!!! 'There is something so reassuringly British and life affirming about Wimbledon.' Once again, his exploits sparked a mixed reaction. One follower joked, 'You're everywhere,' while another added, 'He's having quite the freeloading summer.' Meanwhile, in contrast to his very social life, Orlando's acting career hasn't quite sparked the same global attention. His most recent film, Deep Cover - in which he stars as an improv actor turned undercover agent - was released on Amazon Prime last month. So far, it's garnered positive reviews, but it's had half the impact of Orlando's social calendar. I sometimes look at a cow and think, that's the most beautiful thing ever Orlando Bloom What's more, he may have been Hollywood hot property in the noughties - with roles in massive franchises like Lord of The Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean - but he's hardly made a splash since. He's worked relatively consistently, but his personal life has always eclipsed his professional output. Very public relationships with actress Kate Bosworth and first wife Miranda Kerr have increased his reputation as a celebrity romancer. That was then cemented when he got together with singer Katy in 2016 - before proposing in 2020. They'd initially planned to get married in Japan later that year, but the COVID-19 pandemic scuppered those chances. Then, after the initial postponement, they said their busy schedules kept getting in the way. Sources have since said: "They never set a date for the wedding or got around to planning anything, and Orlando is 'over it.'' Meanwhile, despite Orlando's love for things 'reassuringly British' he's slowly but surely become a parody of an LA cliche. 90 percent vegan In 2021, he went viral for all the wrong reasons, after taking part in the Sunday Times' Day in the Life series. On an average day, he said, he woke up at 6.30am and spent time 'connecting' with his then baby daughter. He said: 'I'll do eye-gazing with her and sing songs.' Then, his day got progressively madder, as he explained: 'I like to earn my breakfast so I'll just have some green powders that I mix with brain octane oil, a collagen powder for my hair and nails, and some protein. 'It's all quite LA, really.' As well as chanting 'for 20 minutes every day, religiously', he also went hiking and built Lego. Capping off the universally-mocked feature, he explained why he was 90 percent vegan, opining: 'I sometimes look at a cow and think, that's the most beautiful thing ever'...despite the fact that, 10 percent of the time, he ate red meat. Orlando was duly mocked to oblivion for his 'normal routine' - and his reputation hasn't quite survived the wreckage. Now, as he continues to make hay while the sun shines on his very single summer, we're all wondering: are we watching him play his biggest role to date, as the world's worst - and certainly most embarrassing - ex? Sadly for Katy, Orlando may have hung up his pirate costume decades ago… but it looks like he's more determined than ever to sail the seas.

Slump in Gino D'Acampo's wealth since being axed by ITV revealed as shamed chef plots new life abroad
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) GINO D'Acampo's earnings have dropped by over £150,000 after he was axed by ITV. The shamed chef faced a considerable loss in earnings, with cash intake of £199k - down from £704k the year before. It comes after The Sun told how the former This Morning telly cook is relaunching his brand in Australia amid his UK woes. The Italian, 48, is launching 'multiple work projects', including two new restaurants and a culinary tech platform, 11,000 miles from his Hertfordshire mansion, which is now on the market for £4.2million. Last week Gino's representative said: 'He loves Australia a lot - the people, culture, cleanliness and environment.' While Gino will keep a base in the UK, he will be spending increasing amounts of time Down Under over the next two years as he also sets up a new cookware range for the international market. A source added: 'Gino has had a fantastic career over here - and still has an incredibly loyal fanbase. 'But it's been made clear to him that TV opportunities over here are few and far between in the wake of recent allegations, and that's frustrating. 'While Gino has always denied any wrongdoing, he's a pragmatist and knows it's time for new adventures. 'He's been inundated with offers Down Under following a really successful tour there. Gino D'Acampo slammed for 'highly inappropriate' cooking video as fans say 'that's disturbing and upsetting' 'He spent some time in Australia a few years ago, and loved it. He still has a large social media following and plans to capitalise on that in the next stage of his career.' The source said the star will be launching two new restaurants in Australia and will split his time between there and the UK for the next two years. His wife of 22 years, Jessica, and their three children will remain in Britain. The source added: 'But if all goes well, Australia is a full-time option.' 4 Gino's restaurant empire racked up debts of £7.3million and went into administration Credit: Paul Edwards

The pair met on the range before the event and McIlroy told a TV crew: 'I'd like to go up against Bryson and try to get him back for what he did to me at the US Open.' And DeChambeau replied: 'Well, to be fair, you kinda did it to yourself.' McIlroy is thought to have been upset by the quip, which was considered cruel. DeChambeau later gave a sparky response when asked how Rory had coped, saying: 'No idea, he didn't talk to me once all day.' McIlroy later fired back: 'I don't know what he was expecting. McIlroy owns multiple luxurious properties the world, including a Florida mansion, a house in La Quinta, California mansion, an estate in Northern Ireland, and apartments in New York and Dubai. He also has a new mansion being custom made on the exclusive Wentworth estate in Surrey. Inside Rory McIlroy's whirlwind love life RORY MCILROY enjoyed a high-profile romance with former tennis world number one Caroline Wozniacki before their split in 2014. The following year, the golf ace began dating Erica Stoll, who he had first met on the PGA Tour in 2011. Erica often interacted with players through her role as the PGA's manager of championship volunteer operations. She even prevented McIlroy from missing his tee time at the 2012 Ryder Cup after some confusion over the time zone. The incident began a firm friendship between the pair, four years before their relationship turned romantic. McIlroy and Erica were spotted on a string of dates in Rochester, New York, in the early days of their relationship. Just eight months later, the couple got engaged in Paris and walked down the aisle at Ashford Castle in Ireland in 2017. The pair then welcomed daughter Poppy into the world three years later. Throughout their time together, McIlroy and Erica have kept their relationship to themselves, with the golfer keen to protect his family from the cameras during filming of Netflix's Full Swing documentary series. However, after seven years of marriage, McIlroy filed for divorce from Erica. The reasons for the divorce were not disclosed, but the Northern Irishman submitted documents to a court in Florida. However, a few weeks later, performed a U-turn on their decision to divorce. McIlroy told the outlet: "Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning.' DeChambeau recently sold his swanky mansion in Texas to move into another in the same area. He is rumoured to be dating Lilia Schneider, a college golfer from ndianapolis. They have been pictured sharing a buggy at a LIV event. DeChambeau had previously dated another college golfer, Hunter Nugent, but she revealed that they had parted in 2022 and that Schneider was now with the American. He also used to date Sophia Phalen Bertolami who launched her own line of swimwear line with La Isla for a 'large cup' bikini wearer. 5 Sophia Phalen Bertolami launched a range of bikinis Credit: Instagram @sophiaandstella McIlroy's love life is equally complicated. Last year his marriage to wife Erica Stoll looked to be over as they prepared to divorce, before a surprise change of heart and a dramatic U-turn on legal proceedings. Before that, he spent three years with Danish tennis beauty Caroline Wozniacki before breaking off their engagement in a phone call that lasted just three minutes. In 2014, McIlroy was romantically linked with Meghan Markle, before she married Prince Harry. The pair flirted in a video shared on social media, as he helped her take part in the Ice Bucket Challenge, a viral trend adopted by many celebs to raise money for ALS.
