Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor break silence on intimate scenes in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan: 'I think that brought us closer...'
Vikrant Massey highlighted that it happened due to the trust they built over time. He also mentioned that they got to know each other well as people beyond just being co-stars. The 12th Fail actor said, 'We've spoken about this. I think it's the trust factor that was built over a point of time. It strikes me that we are both very alike as people. Besides the acting workshop, or you know, chaahe fir woh blind school ki baat ho ya fir you know the challenges as actors we faced, uske alawa when we got to know each other as people, especially during the scene when we opened up as Vikrant and Shanaya and not just as actors, I think that also brought us closer.'
Shanaya, who is set to make her debut with the film, agreed with Vikrant. The actor further added that they both are very much alike and share a similar worldview. "We are very hungry actors, and we want to go out there and give our best. And the only way that can happen is by trusting each other, and there's no other way because you have blindfolds on, I can't see anything, so let's empower each other and bring the best from each other,' he added.
For the unversed, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is directed by Santosh Singh. Vikrant Massey plays a visually-impaired musician while Shanaya Kapoor essays the role of a theatre artist. The trailer of the upcoming romantic drama has hit the right chords with the masses and is expected to fare well. However, its success will depend on its hold against Rajkummar Rao's Maalik and James Gunn's Superman, as the movie is set to face a three-way clash at the box office.

David Corenswet on playing Superman: ‘At home, I'm still changing diapers and making breakfast'
Actor David Corenswet, who is the newest person to don the cape as the new Superman in James Gunn's latest 'Superman' reboot, has offered a candid and heartfelt glimpse into the contrast between his superhero persona and his everyday life as a husband and father. In a recent interview, Corenswet opened up about the reality of balancing one of the most iconic roles in cinematic history with the ordinary — and often messy — responsibilities of family life. 'I went to work and I played Superman and then I came home and got spat up on and changed diapers and woke up at 2 o'clock in the morning and tried to take the best care of my wife that I could,' he shared, painting a picture far removed from the glitz and grandeur often associated with superhero stardom. Despite the demands of leading a major Hollywood franchise, Corenswet stressed that his focus remains firmly rooted at home. 'I'm still going to be making breakfast, I'm still going to be frustrated when my insurance company bills me the wrong amount, or the car breaks down and I've got to figure that out,' he said. But above all, the 32-year-old actor, known for his work in 'Twisters', 'Pearl' and 'The Politician', said his thoughts are with his family. 'Mostly, what I'm thinking about is just being back at home with my kid,' he added. Corenswet's comments have struck a chord with fans, many of whom praised the actor for his grounded approach and vulnerability. As he prepares to take on the mantle of Superman — a symbol of strength, hope, and resilience — his off-screen persona reflects a more human, relatable kind of heroism. The new 'Superman' film, released in July 11, 2025 and marked the beginning of the DC Universe's reboot under James Gunn and Peter Safran. David will be joined by Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Edi Gathegi as Mr Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Joey, Nathan Fillion as Green Lanter, and Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl. The film follows Superman's journey as he struggles to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his life on Earth and his adoptive human family.

Dean Cain calls out James Gunn for calling Superman an 'immigrant'
Former Superman star Dean Cain has come out strongly against filmmaker James Gunn for his recent remarks about the superhero. The actor, known for portraying the iconic DC Comics character in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, described Gunn as "woke" for calling the character an "immigrant". Cain compared DC Studios adapting Superman to modern times with Disney's recent Snow White remake. "Why are they going to change these characters (to) exist for the times?" asked Cain. The actor's comments come shortly after Gunn described Superman as America's story, which bats for "basic human kindness" at a time when the idea itself has lost its meaning. Meanwhile, the filmmaker's brother Sean Gunn, playing Maxwell Lord in Superman, supported him and underscored the vital part that immigrants play in American society. The actor stated, "The people that we support in this country are immigrants and if you don't like that, you're not American." While Cain agreed with the notion about Superman being an immigrant, he argued that the USA has certain rules and policies in relation to immigration for a reason. According to the actor, the country cannot let in every foreigner because otherwise, "society will fail". He went on to suggest that, if not for these rules, it would be similar to Somalia. Conservatives in the USA seemingly believe that progressive social agendas have diluted Superman, moving it away from his classic heroic archetype and associating it with undesirable elements, such as the superimposition of 'MS-13' on the superhero suit. Besides James and Sean Gunn, actor Nathan Fillion, who plays Guy Gardner (Green Lantern) in Superman, also tried to defuse the controversy, terming it "just a movie".
