One such set from JBL has been described as 'fantastic' with 'great noise cancelling', and is currently reduced by nearly half in a major deal. The JBL Tune 670NC On-Ear Wireless Headphones (Black) are currently £49.99 at Argos, down from £89.99.
On top of the 46 per cent saving, the headphones feature Adaptive Noise Cancelling, up to 70 hours of battery life, and Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint pairing, allowing connection to two devices at once.
A 5-minute quick charge adds three hours of playback, and users can switch to a detachable audio cable when needed. The splashproof design (IPX4) and foldable build add portability, while JBL Pure Bass Sound brings depth to music across genres.
Ambient Aware and Talk Thru functions ensure that outside voices and sounds can still be heard without removing the headphones.
Other features of the sleek black headphones include on-ear controls, VoiceAware for calls, a 32mm driver, and a 10m Bluetooth range. It comes with a USB-C charging cable, audio cable, and quick start guide.
The only caveat is that the headphones don't include a wall charger, and they don't support PD fast charging, standard USB outputs (1W to 5W) are recommended.
If you're exploring other wireless noise-cancelling options, the Soundcore by Anker Q30 is available on Amazon for £64.82, down from £79.99. It offers 50 hours of playtime, custom EQ via app, and has earned a 4.5-star rating from over 84,000 reviews.

Forget the Steam Deck - this Lenovo handheld PC is cheaper and on sale

The Lenovo Legion Go S is a portable handheld PC with an 8-inch WUXGA display - and it's on sale Handheld PCs are all the rage among gamers these days, offering the thrill of playing your favourite PC game on the go. For those looking to get their hands on one, Amazon has a cracking deal on a rival to the Steam Deck. The Lenovo Legion Go S is a portable handheld PC featuring an 8-inch WUXGA display and an AMD Ryzen Z2 Go chip. Bear in mind, this model is a slightly less powerful version of the original Lenovo Go, but it still boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and VRR, with native landscape and a tall 16:10 aspect ratio. It also offers a larger battery on the Go S and the option for additional RAM. This Windows version also comes with a one-year limited warranty, and gamers keen to play a wide range of games can get a three-month Xbox Game Pass trial, reports the Express. For other handheld alternatives, there's always the new Nintendo Switch 2. It's currently in stock on Argos for £429.99, although not in every store. Gamers who want one of the most powerful handheld PCs on the market, there's the ROG Ally X here for £799.99. Our gaming gurus reviewed the Legion Go S and thought it was a stellar pickup. Nathan Bliss said: "For the price, the feature set is pretty impressive compared to its Valve rival. The Legion Go S boasts an AMD Ryzen Z2 Go processor, 16GB of LPDDR5X memory, and an 8-inch 1920x1200 screen, which is 120Hz, IPS, and VRR capable. "Onto ergonomics, and honestly, and I don't say this lightly, it's fantastic. I think this might feel better than the Steam Deck, with the main reason for that being that it's much more controller-like in its more compact size and the asymmetrical joystick layout." "On the subject of the screen, it's pretty gorgeous. It's a 1920 x 1200 LCD display, which Lenovo claims reaches 500 nits of peak brightness. It's obviously nowhere near an OLED in terms of brightness, but it's still really vibrant, especially when you're watching YouTube videos or in pretty games." However, they did find problems with the performance. They added: "The performance is a huge shame, especially considering just how strong the screen is. For gaming, it really is a struggle to use it to its full potential when it comes to AAA titles." You can read a full breakdown of their review right here.

Budget £23 smartwatch branded a 'great Apple and Samsung alternative' by shoppers

A smartwatch is the ideal gadget for carrying out a range of tasks from the ease of the wearer's wrist, including monitoring activity levels and heart rate. However, with so many different watches on the market, it can be hard to know how to get the best value for money. While many can cost hundreds of pounds, those looking for a budget-friendly alternative could look at the Soudorv smartwatch, which is available on Amazon for £23.74. Compatible with both Apple and Android devices, the watch features a 1.91-inch HD screen that can be customized with more than 200 watch faces. It features everything you expect from a smartwatch, including health monitoring, Bluetooth calling, a built-in microphone, and HD speaker. As well as the ability to read and send messages from apps including Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram. According to the Amazon item description, it can be charged in two hours and will run for between five and seven days on one charge, or up to 30 days on standby. Suitable for both men and woman, the Soudorv smart watch weighs 35g and is 11mm thick, and currently boasts a 4.6 out of five rating on Amazon, with 135 reviews. Alternatives available include the Fitbit Inspire 3 Fitness Tracker, currently available on Argos for £59.99. Also compatible with Apple and Android devices, this smart watch can run up to 10 days on one two-hour charge, and monitors a number of health metrics. Weighing 21.3g with a 0.6-inch screen, it's a smaller, more lightweight alternative. It can't, however, be used to make phone calls or send and receive messages. The Samsung Galaxy Watch7 is also available through Sky for £9 per month on a 36-month contract. It features health and exercise monitoring, and can be used to make and receive calls and messages, but is not compatible with Apple devices. It features a 1.3 inch screen, and weighs 28.8g, and runs up to 30 hours on one charge, or 40 hours on standby. The Soudorv smart watch currently boasts a 4.6 out of five rating on Amazon, with 135 reviews. One reviewer said: If you're looking for a budget-friendly smartwatch that covers all the basics like: fitness tracking, sleep, steps, heart rate, and phone alerts; this is a great pick. "It's stylish enough for both men and women, and is reliable enough to become part of your daily routine. I like this alternative to an Apple or Samsung watch, if you don't have one, and you like monitoring your vitals while working out." Another happy customer wrote: "I've been using the Soudorv Smartwatch for a couple of days now, and I'm honestly impressed by how much it offers at such an affordable price. The display is large, bright, and easy to read - even outdoors. "It tracks my steps accurately, monitors my heart rate and sleep quality, and even reminds me to move if I've been sitting too long. The sleep tracker has been helpful in giving me a better understanding of my rest patterns." But one reviewer said it was 'a bit chunky' as they said: "It's quite thick on the wrist, which made it uncomfortable to wear."

Donald Trump arrives in Scotland as President greeted at Prestwick Airport

The President was to be greeted by Scottish Secretary Ian Murray as he stepped off the Air Force One flight. Donald Trump has arrived at Prestwick Airport ahead of his four-day "private" trip in Scotland. ‌ The US President was to be greeted by Scottish Secretary Ian Murray after the Air Force One flight touched down at around 8.28pm on Friday. ‌ The Republican leader will now head from the airport to spend time at his luxury Turnberry Hotel and golf resort, which is 35 miles further south. ‌ Trump is expected to meet Keir Starmer in South Ayrshire in the coming days before they then both travel to Aberdeenshire, where the President will formally open a new golf course at his Menie Estate. Murray said yesterday the UK will extend a "warm welcome" to the president, given the historic ties between the two countries. "Of course it's a warm welcome,' he said. "We would always have a warm welcome for the president of the United States. ‌ "The office of the president of the United States and the office of the Prime Minister are ones that work very, very closely together, and should do, because it's in our national interest to do so. 'We should make sure those relationships are in place because it's important for our defence, our security, our economy – especially for jobs – and it's really, really important to the finer details of the US trade deal that's been done.' ‌ Murray's comments come despite a 2019 motion in the House of Commons which he backed – along with Foreign Secretary David Lammy and Health Secretary Wes Streeting – while in opposition which accused the president of 'misogynism, racism and xenophobia'. Pressed on his support for the motion, Murray did not answer, instead focusing on the importance of the relationship between the two countries. Murray said the Scottish Secretary has a 'duty' to welcome foreign dignitaries. ‌ Speaking to reporters before he began his travel to Scotland today, the US president described his Turnberry golf course as 'the number one course in the world'. Trump said he was going to have dinner at Turnberry with Starmer and 'then we're going to go to the oil capital of Europe, which is Aberdeen'. He added: 'We're going to have a good time. I think the Prime Minister and I get along very well.' ‌ Trump will also meet with John Swinney during his time in Scotland. Asked about meeting with the First Minister, President Trump said he has a 'lot of love' for Scotland. ‌ He added: ' The Scottish leader is a good man, so I look forward to meeting him.' Trump also indicated he and Sir Keir Starmer could 'approve' the US-UK trade deal when they meet in Scotland. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Protests are expected in parts of Scotland during the visit, with police expected to be stretched and requests for extra officers being issued to other forces in the UK. The Scottish Police Federation, which represents rank-and-file officers, said policing will be 'seriously affected'.
