ABC Cancels Series After Only One Season
ABC has made another tough decision regarding one of their newest television shows. Unfortunately, for fans of one particular series, it's been confirmed that ABC has canceled the title after releasing one sole season on their network. It took quite some time for the scripted series to receive some kind of update regarding whether or not it would be renewed or canceled entirely. Now, however, we know that ABC decided on the latter. It's unfortunate that the series had to be canceled, and even more so that crew members are alleging that there was inappropriate behavior while working on the series. What began as a promising addition to the network's lineup has now ended not only in cancellation, but under the cloud of behind-the-scenes concerns that have started to come to light in recent weeks. '' Doctor Odyssey ' has been canceled after one season on ABC.' Variety notes that 'the cast's contracts expire on Monday with no move from ABC to put the series back on its schedule for the upcoming year.' With that said, the outlet does suggest one possible reason for the show's cancellation. The news was released just 'after three of the show's former crew members filed a lawsuit against Disney and 20th Television on May 30, alleging that the studio enabled an 'unchecked campaign of sexual harassment for months'' and the crew members also accused 'assistant prop master Tyler Patton of making 'sexual jokes, innuendos, comments, sexual gestures and images' in addition to 'unwanted touching' including 'openly grabbing a visiting female employee's buttocks.' The medical drama series, created by Ryan Murphy, starred Joshua Jackson as Max Bankman. His character is a doctor on a luxury cruise line called the Odyssey. The story revolves around Bankman as he assists with medical emergencies while overseas. The series Doctor Odyssey was produced by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television. 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' Rumored Leak Could Reveal Major Spoilers
Fans are eager to see how the upcoming fourth MCU Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day , will follow the events of Spider-Man: Homecoming , Spider-Man: Far From Home , and Spider-Man: No Way Home . Obviously there are some massive shoes to fill, especially with No Way Home having several continuities thrown into the mix. Now offering fans some insight, it looks like a rumored leak for Spider-Man: Brand New Day could reveal how the new sequel will up the ante with some potential spoilers. It's already been revealed that not only will Tom Holland return as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man for the new follow-up, but that he'll be joined by none other than Jon Bernthal as The Punisher. Bernthal previously played the role in Daredevil , his own Punisher series, and Daredevil: Born Again . Now, according to a surprising rumor, he'll be joined by another major MCU character. Obviously this has yet to be confirmed, but with Jon Bernthal joining a Spider-Man movie, anything is possible. And if this scoop from an insider is accurate, then fans could see the kind of Spider-Man movie they've been hoping to see on the big screen. Especially for fans of the comics that often see the kind of team-ups that Richtman is reporting could happen here. According to DanielRPK, he claims to 'have confirmed [that] at least part of the movie is Spider-Man and Punisher teaming up to fight Savage Hulk.' While this should be taken with a grain of salt for now, it would certainly be a great way to have the two characters team-up. Fans are also eager to see the Hulk returned to his former, angrier self, so this could be a great way to do so. Richtman also claims that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will include elements of a Gang War and that's why Savage Hulk is allegedly unleashed in the first place, in an effort to make things harder for our hero characters. Hopefully more information will be shared soon, but it sounds like Brand New Day could be shaping up to be a great follow-up to the previous trilogy of Marvel Spider-Man films if this leak is accurate. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters on July 31, 2026. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding the highly-anticipated sequel as we have them.

ESPN Made History On Day 1 Of Wimbledon Tournament
ESPN Made History On Day 1 Of Wimbledon Tournament originally appeared on The Spun. ESPN's investment in tennis appears to have paid off in a big way for the Worldwide Leader. This year's Wimbledon tournament, which started on Monday, reportedly drew a record audience for the Disney-owned company; setting an all-time viewership record for Day 1 of the Grand Slam event. Advertisement According to the network's PR team, an average of 539,000 people tuned in for the championships' first day, up 37% from last year's Day 1 crowd of 393,000 watchers. That is the best ratings number ESPN has had in its 22 years of Wimbledon coverage. Where those numbers go from here is anyone's guess though, as this year's tournament saw early exits for some of tennis' biggest stars including Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula. Coco has been one of the sport's biggest draws since her professional debut at the age of 14 and she was as disappointed as anybody by the stunning first-round loss. "Dayana [Yastremska] started off playing strong. I couldn't find my footing out there today," Gauff said after the match, before admitting that the quick turnaround from Roland Garros likely got to her. Advertisement "I feel like mentally I was a little bit overwhelmed with everything that came afterwards. So I didn't feel like I had enough time to celebrate and also get back into it." With that said Monday was still a great number for ESPN and they'll attempt to build off that momentum as the rest of the championships continue.
