Ethereum (ETH) Whale Allocates $250K to Little Pepe (LILPEPE) Presale as Stage 3 Gains Momentum
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, June 24, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — On-chain activity has revealed that a major Ethereum holder has allocated approximately $250,000 into the ongoing presale of Little Pepe ($LILPEPE), a Layer 2 meme-chain currently in its third fundraising stage. This strategic purchase follows the whale's recent divestment of ETH into Shiba Inu (SHIB), further signaling renewed interest in Ethereum-native meme ecosystems.
The wallet, known to hold over $17 million in ETH-based assets, moved 1,400 ETH to a centralized exchange earlier this month. Shortly after, a portion of the funds was directed into SHIB, while a separate tranche was allocated directly into Little Pepe's presale wallet, according to blockchain explorers.
The transaction coincides with a strong presale performance by Little Pepe, which has already raised over $1.7 million across its funding rounds and sold more than 1.5 billion tokens. The current token price stands at $0.0012, with the next increase scheduled for the upcoming stage. The investment by a high-value ETH holder has drawn attention to the project's growing momentum ahead of its initial exchange listings.
What Is Little Pepe?
Little Pepe is building a dedicated Layer 2 blockchain optimized for meme coin creation, deployment, and trading. The network is designed to offer ultra-low transaction fees, EVM compatibility, bot-resistant mechanics, and an in-house launchpad called Pepe's Pump Pad . These features aim to provide a seamless and secure environment for meme-based crypto innovation.
According to the project's roadmap, a testnet release is expected in Q3 2025, followed by validator onboarding and integrations with key decentralized applications. The $LILPEPE token will serve as the gas currency and governance asset of the chain.
$777,000 Giveaway and Community Campaign
To boost user engagement and support adoption, Little Pepe is also running a $777,000 giveaway campaign. Participants who contribute at least $100 to the presale and complete a set of simple social media tasks—such as following the project on X (formerly Twitter), joining the Telegram group, and tagging friends—will become eligible for prize pool entries. Ten winners will be awarded $77,000 worth of LILPEPE each.
The campaign has been widely shared across crypto communities, helping drive awareness and attracting both retail investors and larger holders.
A Strategic Shift Toward Infrastructure-Driven Meme Projects
While meme coins have traditionally risen on the back of viral narratives, the emergence of Layer 2 chains like Little Pepe suggests a shift toward utility-backed meme ecosystems. With early adoption from notable Ethereum holders and continued presale growth, Little Pepe is positioning itself not just as a token, but as an infrastructure layer for meme finance.

140-year-old college, forced to close after Chapter 7 bankruptcy
Bacone College, a 140-year-old Native-serving institution in Oklahoma, has been shut down and ordered into Chapter 7 liquidation after a judge cited mismanagement and financial collapse. The school had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2024, but now faces total closure. Many colleges have a deep history and connection to their community, but Bacone's ran deeper than most. Bacone College, formerly the Indian University, "was founded in 1880 to educate Indian Students," according to its website. The school played a very important role in its early years. "At the height of Indian Removal the Muscogee (Creek) Nation donated land to eh American Baptist Church and namely the American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS) to establish Bacone College," it continued. Bacone Collegel gave a current mission statement on its website. "As a historic American Indian-serving institution, Bacone College provides a quality, holistic, liberal arts, educational experience for students in a culturally diverse environment, empowering life-long learners with the knowledge, skills, and capacity to be transformational leaders in both Native and non-native communities," it shared. Things began to fall apart for Bacone around a year ago. "On June 27, 2024, the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) acted to withdraw the accreditation of Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma," the school shared on its website. Bacone College filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy around when it lost its accreditation. The school has remained open for existing students, but has not been taking new admissions. U.S. bankruptcy trustee Ilene Lashinsky, filed a motion in June citing "gross mismanagement" including a disputed payment of approximately $16,500 on a loan in Acting President Leslie Hannah's name, alleging that the funds had been misused. In the filing,. Lashinsky asked for the Chapter 11 bankruptcy to be converted into a Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing. "The U.S. Trustee submits that the appropriate action in this instance is conversionto a Chapter 7 case. This case is stagnant and the Debtor's only hope is that an investor may come in and purchase the real estate assets of the Debtor. This is the best option for creditors to get paid. And a Chapter 7 trustee is fully capable of managing and negotiating that transaction on behalf of Debtor's estate," the filing read. In May, a federal judge agreed that the case be converted to a Chapter 7 case, citing "gross mismanagement' by college officials, one of whom the trustee alleged used the institution's bank account to pay his personal expenses. In late May, Bacone College was ordered to turn over access to the campus so it can be liquidated. All educational operations ended at that time. Bacone has been failing for some time: In fall 2023, Bacone had just 106 students, less than half the number of just five years earlier and a fraction of the 1,184 students the college enrolled in 2010, according to date from sought tribal college status, which would have made it eligible for additional federal funding. The Osage Nation and Cheyenne, Arapaho, Kiowa and Otoe-Missouria tribes agreed to charter it, but the college never won tribal college status from the federal government. June 2024: Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, seeking to reorganize and continue operations while addressing mounting debts June 2025: A U.S. bankruptcy trustee, Ilene Lashinsky, filed a motion citing "gross mismanagement"-including a disputed payment of approximately $16,500 on a loan in Acting President Leslie Hannah's name with allegations of misuse of college funds Mid‑May 2025: A federal judge granted the trustee's motion and converted the case from Chapter 11 (reorganization) to Chapter 7 (liquidation), triggering a managed wind‑down of the college's 21, 2025: Bacone College was ordered to turn over all keys and physical control of the campus immediately to the bankruptcy trustee-effectively ending any remaining institutional operations Related: Popular shoe brand files Chapter 7 bankruptcy, liquidating The Arena Media Brands, LLC THESTREET is a registered trademark of TheStreet, Inc.

(NASDAQ: AAPL) and certain of the Company's senior executives for potential violations of the federal securities laws. If you invested in Apple, you are encouraged to obtain additional information by visiting: Investors have until August 19, 2025, to ask the Court to be appointed to lead the case. The complaint asserts claims under Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 on behalf of investors who purchased Apple securities. The case is pending in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and is captioned Tucker v. Apple Inc., et al. , No. 5:25-cv-05197. Why was Apple Sued for Securities Fraud? Apple is a multinational technology company that engages primarily in the businesses of smart-devices and artificial intelligence ('AI'). Apple's software includes a digital personal assistant called 'Siri,' which was first introduced in October 2011. The complaint alleges that Apple misrepresented Siri's advanced AI-based features as well as its ability to deliver them within the iPhone 16 product cycle. In truth, as alleged, Apple lacked a functional prototype of Siri's purported advanced AI-based features and misrepresented the time it would take to integrate such features into its devices. The Stock Declines as the Truth is Revealed On March 7, 2025, Apple announced it was indefinitely delaying several AI-based Siri features, citing development delays and pushing their release to sometime 'in the coming year.' On this news, the price of Apple stock declined $11.59 per share, or almost 5%, from $239.07 per share on March 7, 2025, to $227.48 per share on March 10, 2025, the following trading day. Then, on June 9, 2025, Apple hosted its Worldwide Developer Conference for 2025. Noticeably, Apple failed to announce any new updates regarding advanced Siri features. Analysts and media outlets described the WWDC as 'underwhelming' and 'disappointing,' with CNN stating that 'it's unlikely that any of the announcements made at Monday's event will change the perception that Apple is behind its competitors in AI.' FLYW LEGAL ALERT: Lose Money on Your Flywire Corporation Investment? Contact BFA Law by September 23 Class Action Deadline (NASDAQ:FLYW)
NEW YORK, Aug. 03, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Leading securities law firm Bleichmar Fonti & Auld LLP announces that a lawsuit has been filed against Flywire Corporation (NASDAQ: FLYW) and certain of the Company's senior executives for potential violations of the federal securities laws. If you invested in Flywire, you are encouraged to obtain additional information by visiting: Investors have until September 23, 2025, to ask the Court to be appointed to lead the case. The complaint asserts claims under Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 on behalf of investors who purchased Flywire securities. The case is pending in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and is captioned Hickman v. Flywire Corp., et al. , No. 1:25-cv-04110. Why Was Flywire Sued for Securities Fraud? Flywire operates as a payments-enablement, and software company. Its largest client vertical is education, the volumes and revenue from which rely on international enrollments and student school preferences. In and around late 2023 and early 2024, the Canadian and Australian governments began to tighten student visa and permitting rules. Despite these headwinds, Flywire consistently touted the sustainability of its revenue growth and financial condition, while downplaying the negative impacts of permit- and visa-related headwinds on the Company's business. In truth, it is alleged that Flywire overstated the strength and sustainability of its revenue growth while understating the negative impacts that the permit- and visa-related restrictions had and were likely to have on Flywire's business. The Stock Declines as the Truth Is Revealed On February 25, 2025, Flywire announced that its business in the education sector had significantly deteriorated due to worsening permit- and visa-related headwinds, including 'double digit declines in student visa issuance in our big four geographic markets,' with 'continued visa policy restrictions' anticipated in 2025. On this news, the price of Flywire stock declined roughly 37%, from $17.64 per share on February 25, 2025, to $11.05 per share on February 26, 2025. Click here for more information: What Can You Do?
