Durban City confirm Gavin Hunt as their new coach
Dladla, the coach who promoted the club formerly known as Maritzburg United as champions of the 2024-25 Motsepe Foundation Championship, has since joined AmaZulu as assistant to former Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane.
Hunt, who finished last season without a job after being fired for inconsistent results at SuperSport United, is a four-time Premiership winner, three with the recently-sold Matsatsantsa and one with another defunct club, Bidvest Wits.
'With a distinguish career spanning more than two decades at the top level of South African football, Hunt brings a wealth of experience, having won multiple league titles and domestic trophies,' City said.
'His strong leadership style and results-driven approach align perfectly with Durban City's ambitions as prepare for the upcoming 2025-26 season.'

Proteas not fazed by Walter's insider knowledge, says George Linde
When the Proteas face New Zealand at the Harare Sports Club in their second match of the Tri-Nation Series on Wednesday (1pm), the familiar face of Rob Walter will be in the opposing dugout. Walter coached the Proteas white-ball team for two years until April and there is no doubt he will know the tactical strengths and weaknesses of most of the players, having worked with them in the national set-up and watched them on the domestic circuit. The Proteas beat Zimbabwe by five wickets in their opening game on Monday and a win against the Black Caps will put them in the driver's seat for the rest of the series. Proteas spinning-all-rounder George Linde, who picked up three wickets for 10 runs in the Zimbabwe game, said on Tuesday they are not too concerned about Walter having inside intel. Kaizer Chiefs confirm Yusuf Maart's departure
Midfielder Yusuf Maart has officially left Kaizer Chiefs to join newly-promoted Austrian Football Bundesliga outfit, SV Ried. The 29-year-old joined Amakhosi from Sekhukhune United in July 2022, making his debut away to Royal AM the following month, and featured in 95 matches in the Gold & Black in all competitions, scoring seven times, including the winning goal in last season's Nedbank Cup final. The erstwhile skipper also weighed in with eight assists in his three seasons at Naturena.
