Saudia achieves global leadership in on-time flight performance for March 2025

Jeddah: Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has achieved top ranking globally for on-time performance (OTP) in both departure and arrival times for March 2025. According to a report by Cirium, an independent aviation analytics company, Saudia achieved an impressive arrival OTP rate of 94.07% and a departure OTP rate of 94%, operating over 16,000 flights during this period.
This remarkable achievement underscores Saudia's commitment to enhancing the travel experience by prioritizing time efficiency—a critical factor in guest satisfaction.
H.E. Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group, stated: 'Maintaining operational efficiency is a cornerstone of Saudia's new strategic objectives. Our on-time performance reflects the cohesive efforts across all group companies, operating as an integrated aviation ecosystem. This alignment supports the remarkable advancements in the Kingdom's aviation sector under Saudi Vision 2030, enabling us to effectively manage and operate an average of over 540 flights daily by leveraging staff expertise and utilizing cutting-edge digital systems.'
Looking ahead, Saudia plans to expand its fleet with an additional 118 aircraft over the coming years—augmenting its current fleet of 147 planes—to further enhance flight frequency and capacity. This expansion aligns with its strategy to recruit skilled national talents for aircraft operation and maintenance according to global aviation standards.

Riyadh, KSA - The Saudi Real Estate Refinance Company (SRC), a PIF company, has signed a real estate finance portfolio purchase agreement with Bank Albilad. The signing took place in the presence of His Excellency Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, the Minister of Municipalities and Housing and Chairman of SRC, alongside Mr. Nasser bin Mohammed Al-Subaie, Chairman of Bank Albilad. This strategic step reinforces the ongoing partnership between the two entities and reflects their shared commitment to supporting the growth of the Kingdom's residential real estate finance market. The agreement forms part of a broader series of future initiatives aimed at deepening collaboration between SRC and the bank over the coming year, in support of the development of the housing and financial sectors. Pilgrims have arrived from 109 countries, underscoring the global significance of the pilgrimage. Additionally, the number of Umrah visas issued rose by 27 per cent. It emphasised that preparations for the Umrah season began well in advance in collaboration with relevant authorities to ensure a smooth and organised experience for all pilgrims. These efforts reflect Saudi Arabia's commitment to serving visitors to the Two Holy Mosques, ensuring the highest standards of comfort, safety, and satisfaction for worshippers.
