Gyokeres latest According to a report from Portuguese outlet Record, Viktor Gyokeres has rejected huge offers from two Saudi Arabian clubs as he is keen on a move to Arsenal. The Gunners are looking to sign a prolific goalscorer this summer and are working on deals for both Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko, with conflicting reports over which striker is their preferred option. Palmer clears up chat with Chelsea new boy Estevao after team-mate stepped in
Palmeiras wonderkid Estevao Willian scored on his final appearance for his current club before joining Chelsea and was seen chatting to his new teammates post-match Cole Palmer admitted Estevao Willian could not understand him - but says they will have a perfect connection next season. Palmeiras wonderkid Estevao, 18, scored against Chelsea in their Club World Cup quarter final - but could not stop his new club banking a £60m pay day. Chelsea reached the semi finals in New York on Tuesday when they will face Fluminese but got a glimpse of the future because Estevao has agreed a £29.1m-plus deal to move to Stamford Bridge this summer. England star Palmer was hugely impressed as he saw Estevao up close for the first time but the Brazil starlet will probably need to work on his English. Thankfully Portuguese team-mate Dario Essugo was on hand to translate the message between the soon-to-be colleagues. Palmer went up to his future team mate after Chelsea's win over Palmeiras and revealed: 'I just said we look forward to seeing you - but he didn't understand that word I said! 'He's a top player. Obviously, he's only young as well. When he comes to England, people need to give him time to adapt to the culture, the language. 'He's still only 18 or 19 or something. But you can see he's got amazing quality and we look forward to seeing him. You could see he's a really good player.' Estevao has already played for Brazil, is seen as a generational talent in his own country and has been billed as the best prospect since Neymar. Palmer knows a thing or two about being in the spotlight and is clearly relishing joining up with Estevao who caught the eye with a wonder goal. It had everyone in the stadium open-mouthed with a brilliant piece of skill as the ball crashed in off the crossbar. But Chelsea came through in the end and have now got another Brazilian opponent in the MetLife Stadium, having now knocked out Palmeiras and they lost to Flamengo in the Group stage. There is no doubt that Chelsea are growing in confidence and stature in this tournament and will now be favourites to reach the final as they are in the easier half of the draw. But Palmer says they are growing in confidence and belief as they come through the tournament and now genuinely believe they can win it. He said: 'I feel like the Brazilian teams are more physical, more rough. We know they're a good team, so it's difficult to play against them. But if we match them, I think we can show our quality, and that's what we did. 'We've played two already now, two very good teams, so it's going to be another tough game. Obviously it's good to be the last English team and hopefully we can win it. 'I think we're getting used to being here. The climate is obviously a big thing, and the pitches. So the more the tournament's gone on, the better we've got. 'Every game is tough, no matter who you play. Obviously, everyone's here for a reason. We also have a set-piece coach and he's trying to give us different ideas and stuff. I think it's working.' Palmer also paid a glowing tribute to Joao Pedro as Chelsea's new £60m signing came on for his debut and helped change the quarter final in their favour. Pedro looked sharp and made a difference. Palmer gave Chelsea the lead, Estevao equalised but it was Malo Gusto's cross which was deflected in for the decisive own goal to seal the win. Palmer added: 'I think he did very well. I think he changed the game for us. Obviously, he's been on holiday in Brazil and we didn't know what to expect from in terms of match sharpness and them things. 'But I think he changed the game. Noni Madueke and Joao, obviously, were really good and made a difference.'
