Thanks to the wisdom and foresight of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco's sovereignty over the Sahara is gaining growing international support, said the President of the Andean Parliament, Gustavo Pacheco Villar.
In an interview with MAP on the sidelines of the 3rd International Forum of Young Socialist and Social Democratic Parliamentarians, held in Marrakech on May 2-3, Pacheco Villar emphasized that the foresight of the Sovereign's Vision is reflected in the support of major world powers such as the United States of America, France and Spain for Morocco's sovereignty over its Sahara.
In this respect, he noted the growing support of Latin American countries for the Kingdom's position, while reiterating the Andean Parliament's support for Morocco's territorial integrity and sovereignty over its Southern Provinces.
He also highlighted the progress and impressive development momentum of these provinces.
'I visited the Kingdom's southern provinces and was impressed by the development projects carried out or launched in the various towns,' stated the President of the Andean Parliament, citing in particular the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Laayoune and the Dakhla Atlantic Port.
In the same vein, he highlighted the Royal Atlantic Initiative, which aims to open up new prospects for Sahelo-Saharan countries and boost a sustainable regional economic dynamic, as well as the Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline project, noting that these innovative initiatives make the Kingdom a major player in consolidating and promoting South-South cooperation.
Morocco's active presence in Africa and its various actions and initiatives in favor of the continent's countries also reflect the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to lasting cooperation, he affirmed.
Referring to the various reforms carried out in the Kingdom under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty the King, Pacheco Villar said that Morocco had taken major steps towards consolidating the rule of law, notably through the adoption of the 2011 Constitution and the empowerment of women.

Morocco's Religious Model Under Royal Leadership Gains Grounds in Latin America

The Secretary General of the Latin American League of Religious Scholars, Sadiq Al-Othmani, praised Morocco's religious model of moderation, noting its expanding influence in Latin America as a bulwark against extremist rhetoric. Under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, this model has established itself as a benchmark well beyond Africa, reaching as far as Latin America, he explained. In an interview with MAP-Brasilia on the occasion of the Throne Day celebrations, Al-Othmani, who is also director of religious affairs for the Federation of Islamic Institutions in Brazil, emphasized that the Moroccan model is based on the Commandery of the Faithful, the Maliki rite, the Achaari doctrine, and Sunni Sufism. The Latin American official pointed out that these foundations have proven their resilience and adaptability to societal changes over centuries." In his view, this enables the Kingdom to remain deeply rooted in its heritage while addressing modern-day challenges through dialogue with diverse cultures. He underscored the pivotal role of the Commandery of the Faithful as the guardian of Morocco's religious foundations and the protector of its spiritual security. Notably, the Commandery of the Faithful signifies that the Head of State is entrusted with the stewardship of both the religious and worldly affairs of the nation. This institution, he noted, safeguards the independence of the religious sphere and shields it from exploitation. He also underscored the efforts of institutions such as the Mohammed VI Institute for the Training of Imams Morchidines and Morchidates, and the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulemas, which promote a moderate Islam grounded in scientific approach, both within Morocco and beyond its borders. Under HM the King's Leadership, Morocco Accomplished Significant Achievements in Several Fields

Under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco accomplished significant and major achievements in several fields, Speaker of the Gabonese National Assembly, Jean-François Ndongou, said. In a statement to MAP on the occasion of the glorious Throne Day, Ndongou underlined that since the accession of His Majesty the King to the Throne, Morocco has experienced development across the board and achieved remarkable achievements, pointing out that the Sovereign engaged an ambitious policy of structural reforms aiming to turn the Kingdom into a key regional, continental and international actor. 'Morocco's development under the leadership of HM the King is truly remarkable. We are proud of what Morocco has achieved in all areas,' he said, noting that this development is particularly evident in the economic, agricultural, energy, social, sports, and cultural sectors, as well as in infrastructure. Morocco has modern rail, road, and port infrastructure that is among the best in Africa, explained Ndongou, highlighting the modernization of the rail network, particularly the high-speed line, the first of its kind in Africa. For the Gabonese official, one of the main examples of the progress made by the Kingdom is the Tanger Med Port, which has become one of the best port infrastructures in the world. 'This logistics hub contributes greatly to the intensification of cooperation between African countries in the port sector,' he said. Ndongou also praised the pioneering royal initiatives for the development of the African continent, notably the Royal Initiative to promote access for Sahel countries to the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the African Atlantic Gas Pipeline Project, which he said demonstrates the Kingdom's firm commitment to stability, progress, and prosperity in Africa. 550 children from 25 countries unite in Rabat to launch global call for peace

Children from 25 countries gathered in Rabat on Friday to launch a multilingual Call for Peace, urging dialogue among nations, the rejection of hatred, and the promotion of tolerance and coexistence. The message was delivered in Arabic, English, French, and Spanish during a reception hosted by the House of Representatives as part of the 17th edition of the International Festival of Peace Children. «We, children of the world, have come from different continents, carrying a thousand wishes. We have packed our bags not to flee war, but to send a message to the world, a message from pure hearts whose only language is love and whose only weapon is childhood», they declared. «O world, enough of death, enough of fire that burns hearts before homes, enough of childhood buried under rubble, trapped and tormented by hunger and thirst. Hear us... hear the children of the world», the statement implored. The children expressed their hope to grow up in a world free of war, where songs of love and peace can be heard. They signed the message «from Morocco, land of coexistence and harmony», and launched it «from the podium of Parliament, the voice of the people and the echo of justice». Abderrahmane Rouijel, founding director of the festival, recalled that 550 children contributed to drafting this universal message, a symbol of their shared desire for a peaceful world. The event, he emphasized, seeks to instill values of love, tolerance, and openness to others. The children also marched in traditional attire from Al Barid Square to the Parliament building, where they posed for commemorative photos. Organized by the Bouregreg Association under the honorary presidency of Princess Lalla Meryem, and supported by local authorities and the Ministry of Culture, this year's edition promotes cultural exchange and fosters a culture of peace.
