In response, the Andhra Pradesh government has successfully signed an agreement with Karnataka, resulting in the handover of four Kunki elephants to Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Claiming that the film has already grossed ₹200 crore, the JSP supporters expressed confidence that it would soon touch the ₹500 crore mark, which they said would reflect 'the might of Pawan Kalyan's popularity'.

AP HC seeks Guntur court order copy in plea challenging withdrawal of case against Pawan Kalyan
VIJAYAWADA: The High Court on Friday directed petitioners to submit a certified copy of the Guntur court order that permitted the withdrawal of a defamation case against Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Justice Dr Y Lakshmana Rao adjourned the hearing for two weeks. The case stems from Pawan Kalyan's remarks during the 2023 Vaarahi Yatra in Eluru, where he alleged that a large number of girls were going missing due to the involvement of volunteers. The then YSRCP government instructed the Public Prosecutor to file a criminal case against Pawan Kalyan in the Guntur court. After the coalition government took office, the Public Prosecutor moved to withdraw the case. On November 18, 2024, the Guntur court allowed the withdrawal. Challenging the withdrawal, a volunteer named K Sarala and another woman filed a criminal revision petition in the High Court. During hearing, the High Court directed the petitioners to produce a certified copy of the Guntur court's withdrawal order before the revision petition could proceed.

HC asks for trial court order in Pawan Kalyan defamation case
Vijayawada: The high court on Friday asked the petitioners to file a certified copy of the trial court order allowing the withdrawal of prosecution against deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan in the case registered over his alleged objectionable comments made on volunteers. K Sarala, along with three others, moved the court challenging the trial court orders and sought directions to prosecute Pawan for making defamatory remarks on volunteers. A criminal defamation case was filed under sections 499 and 500 of the IPC against Pawan in a Guntur court after he made certain remarks over missing women in Andhra Pradesh during his Varahi Yatra. He said he received information from intelligence sources that the personal data of citizens collected by volunteers landed in the hands of anti-social elements involved in human trafficking, and it was one of the reasons behind the high number of missing cases of women in AP. However, after the NDA govt came to power, five volunteers, who were also complainants in the case, deposed before the trial court stating that YSRCP leaders took their signatures and filed petitions before the court without their knowledge. Considering the affidavits and statements given by the complainants, the trial court allowed the withdrawal of prosecution.
