Honda City Sport Edition launched in India with cosmetic upgrades: Know what's changed
Priced from ₹ 14.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the limited-run version brings a host of cosmetic enhancements and is now available at Honda dealerships nationwide.
The City Sport Edition differentiates itself with a series of blacked-out elements that add a touch of aggression to the sedan's design. The signature chrome grille has been replaced with a gloss-black finish, while the door mirrors and rear spoiler receive a similar treatment. The metallic grey alloy wheels and gloss-black shark fin antenna further enhance the car's visual appeal. A distinct 'Sport' badge adorns the boot lid, completing the exterior makeover.
Inside, the City Sport Edition continues the dark theme with an all-black cabin complemented by red accents. The dashboard features red garnish inserts, while the leatherette seats sport contrast red stitching, adding a premium and sporty touch. Other highlights include soft-touch door panels and a black-finished steering wheel, also stitched in red, lending a cohesive design language throughout the interior.
Powering the special edition is the tried-and-tested 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, producing 119 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. The City Sport is offered exclusively with a 7-speed CVT automatic transmission, and Honda claims a fuel efficiency of 18.40 km/l (ARAI certified), making it a sensible choice for city and highway driving alike.
In terms of equipment, the City Sport Edition retains all the creature comforts of the standard variant. This includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice command support, automatic climate control, and a four-speaker audio system. The dual-pod instrument cluster with a multi-information display and Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) also come as standard.
The Honda City Sport Edition is available in three paint finishes – Platinum White Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, and Meteoroid Gray Metallic. It will compete with other premium sedans in the segment, such as the Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and Hyundai Verna.

The larger battery pack on the Carens Clavis EV is expected to offer 490km of range on a full charge. Interior And Key Features The official video of Clavis EV reveals a dual-screen setup across the dashboard. It also shows a floating center console and a new wireless charging pad with some controls. The gear lever has been removed to create extra storage space. The EV version of the Clavis will follow a 7-seater layout and have a light shade cabin theme. Tata Motors has opened bookings for the Harrier EV , its new electric offering in the midsize SUV segment. The announcement follows the earlier unveiling of the vehicle and price reveal. The Harrier EV was introduced with a starting price of ₹21.49 lakh for the base V1 variant, going up to ₹28.99 lakh for the top-end V4 Long Range QWD variant (ex-showroom). Customers can now reserve the vehicle at authorised dealerships or online. Variants, range and powertrain The Harrier EV is offered in two battery sizes with both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive "Quad Wheel Drive" (QWD) options. 65 kWh RWD variants range from ₹21.49 lakh to ₹23.99 lakh (Adventure, Adventure S, Fearless Plus), ARAI-certified range of 538 km. 75 kWh RWD and top-spec Empowered variants (RWD at ₹27.49 lakh; QWD at ₹28.99 lakh) offer up to 627 km (RWD) and 622 km (QWD) range. The QWD variant features twin motors delivering 390 bhp and 504 Nm of torque, with a 0–100 km/h sprint time of 6.3 seconds. The RWD model produces 238 bhp and similar torque . Specifications Built on Tata's Plus platform, the Harrier EV supports DC fast charging: 120 kW charger takes it from 20–80 % in ~25 minutes, and AC charging: 7.2 kW home charger = ~10.7 hours full charge. The vehicle features Vehicle-to‑Load (V2L, 3.3 kW) and Vehicle‑to‑Vehicle (V2V, 5 kW) power export capabilities. The QWD version includes six terrain modes and transparent-bonnet '540° view' camera. The Harrier EV joins Tata's growing EV lineup—alongside the Nexon EV and Punch EV—and represents the company's first mass-market electric SUV with AWD capability.

This figure includes domestic sales of 3,88,812 units and exports of 40,335 units. The company also shared its year-to-date (YTD) sales figures for FY26 (April–June 2025), which stood at 13,75,120 units. This includes 12,28,961 units sold in the domestic market and 1,46,159 units exported to global markets. 2025 Honda XL750 Transalp During the month, the two wheeler maker launched the 2025 Honda XL750 Transalp. The all-new XL750 Transalp adopts a design language that balances aggressive urban styling with robust off-road practicality. Influenced by Honda's top-shelf Africa Twin, the front has been restyled with a more aerodynamic visor and dual LED projector headlamps that serve to boost both aesthetics and aerodynamics when traversing long distances. The silhouette looks slender in profile but feels significant and tall-a stature fit for all kinds of terrain. The XL750 Transalp features a 755cc parallel-twin cylinder liquid-cooled engine that is tuned to deliver 90.5 bhp at 9,500 rpm and torque of 75 Nm at 7,250 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed transmission, and assisted with Throttle-by-Wire (TBW) for smooth handling. Riders can toggle between five riding modes—Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel, and User—each adjusting power delivery, traction control (HSTC), engine braking, and ABS settings. Honda BaaS Along with the launch, Honda also introduced its new Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) Lite. The new plan reduces the rental cost to ₹ 678 per month (+ GST), albeit restricted to 20 kWh. Price, range, features, battery swap tech Honda previously announced the BaaS plans starting from ₹ 1,999 for the Basic Plan and up to 35 kWh per month, while the Advance Plan is priced at ₹ 3,599 and up to 82 kWh per month. The BaaS plans are exclusively available with the Activa e, which comes equipped with swappable batteries. The battery swapping stations have been developed by Honda Motor Company, Japan, and managed by its subsidiary, Honda Power Pack Energy India.
