Sabalenka, who was in good spirits, asked Djokovic for his opinion on her abilities
Djokovic, a seven-time Wimbledon champion, was told Sabalenka was in the middle of her final response but cheekily informed the press officer that he was going to interrupt his friend's conference.
The 24-time Grand Slam winner could be heard whispering: "Come on, let's go, please" with a grin as he shocked Sabalenka with his entrance on Saturday.
The pair were filmed during a practice session earlier in the week as Sabalenka looks to win her first
Wimbledon
and Djokovic goes for an a record-equalling eighth title, alongside Roger Federer.

Sabalenka, 27, said: "You see guys, come in here then" before asking Djokovic to sit down in her seat, which he refused.
The US Open champion then asked Djokovic: "First of all, let me ask a question. What do you think about hitting with me? How do you see my level? Am I good?'
Djokovic jokingly responded: "I think you have the potential. You're, like, a really talented player. You have
nice
strokes, good technique.
"Can I be honest? You're lacking intensity on the
court
. You don't have enough intensity.

Sabalenka, holding in laughter, then said: "Really! That's what you are going to say right now?
"Before this guy was my favourite player, but not anymore obviously!"

There could be some truth in Djokovic's words of wisdom, as Sabalenka lost the French Open final to Coco Gauff last month.
The Belarusian said it "hurt to show such terrible
tennis
" in what she described as "the worst final I ever played" after losing in three sets to Gauff.
In her runners-up speech, the three-time Slam winner added: "'I think she won the match not because she played incredible, just because I made all of those mistakes."

The legendary Serbian said: "'It's great to be back. I love Wimbledon. I've always loved it. I think in the last six editions, I had six finals.
"I've been playing very well here, maybe it's been the most consistent Grand Slam for me in the last 10 years.
"When I come here, I feel extra inspired to deliver the best
tennis
. Whether it could be my 'last dance', I'm not sure. My wish is to play for several more years.
"I would love to be healthy physically and also mentally motivated to keep on playing at the highest level. That's the goal, but you never know at this stage."

Harrington prize money as he earns massive pay-day for Senior US Open win
Padraig Harrington in the 2025 Senior US Open Champion after beating out the field at the Broadmoor Club in Colorado. A final round of 67 left the Dubliner on 11-under for the tournament, one stroke clear of eventual runner-up Stewart Cink. Harrington and Cink traded the lead on numerous occasions this evening, with Harrington eventually edging past the 2009 Open Champion. Cink had Harrington on the ropes at one point as he reeled off four Birdies on the spin. But Harrington showed his trademark mental toughness, making Birdie at a key time before parring the final seven holes to take home the win. This win makes Harrington a two-time major champion on the PGA Champions Tour following on from his US Open win in 2022 added to his three major wins that were secured before he joined the PGA Champions Tour. Harrington's victory should come as little surprise to fans following the senior tour as the 53-year-old has been in excellent form, going close at the PGA Championship last month. And to make things even sweeter for Harrington, he is set to take home a paycheque for $800,000, not a bad week's work for the three

Major Wimbledon change as iconic feature of tournament will be MISSING for first time in its 148 year history
LINE judges will be absent from Wimbledon today for the first time in the tournament's 148-year history — after being booted out by AI. Around 300 of the blazer-wearing officials who call 'out' and 'fault' have been axed in favour of an electronic gizmo. The decision to adopt AI was made after a pilot at last year's tournament. It is understood the All England Club was reluctant, but the tech has been used in other events for years. British No 4 Billy Harris, 30, said: 'I'm sure the umpires will be missed. 'It feels like a quieter court when they're not there, and they are all dressed up nice in the suits. Former line judges had to compete for 80 new match assistant roles, which can involve measuring the net, opening tubes of new balls and escorting players to the toilet. Veteran linesman Charles Falconer, 77, who would have been awarded a trophy and certificate to mark his 50th year this summer, reportedly missed out. QUEUE CANNOT BE SERIOUS TENNIS-mad fans pitched tents and sofas overnight to be the first through the gates of Wimbledon this morning. Some 1,400 eager supporters braved searing heat and crammed into nearby Wimbledon Park. Tournament bosses have even issued a dossier on how to queue correctly. The guide warns against smoking, cooking on barbecues and toilet breaks of more than half an hour. Among those queuing last night was Quin Latimore, 29, who said: 'It's filling up fast. 'I have been doing this for quite a few years and have never seen it this busy.'

Ireland's Craig Casey and Scotland's Ben White on tenterhooks for Lions call
Craig Casey may have to go to the airline check-in desk to switch his flight from Tbilisi to Munster scrum-half is due to captain Ireland on their two game Summer Tour which consists of fixtures against Georgia and with Lions scrum-half Tomos Williams having to leave the field in the second period against Force, which has put his continued participation on the British and Irish Lions tour in doubt, there is a distinct possibility Casey will be rerouted. Head coach Andy Farrell opted not to give a post-match injury update on scrum-half Williams before the squad flew on to Queensland and bedded down in things don't look good for the Welshman and, coupled with the uncertainty surrounding Jamison Gibson-Park's injury, it may be decided he is going home. There will be some clarity on this situation provided this morning. Scotland's Ben White and Craig Casey are the contenders to replace may be the favourite, though, given he is Finn Russell's international scrum-half, starting all five games in the 2025 Six Nations alongside the out-half - and scoring three Scot, 27, trumps Casey in terms of experience having started his career spending six years at Leicester Tigers, debuting as the youngest player in their history. A move to London Irish started brightly, three tries in his first 10 games gaining him a call up to the Scotland 2022 Six Nations squad, making his Scotland debut in the Calcutta Cup win over England, scoring a key try. He appeared twice for Scotland at the 2023 Rugby World Cup following which he switched to play his club rugby at Toulon for whom he has started seven times and appeared from the bench another six times this season - whether that's considered lightly-used or not enough rugby will be Farrell's Casey has been given the Ireland captaincy for the summer tour to Georgia and Portugal which might be a sign he was behind the Scot on the standby is one of three scrum-halves in the Ireland panel, alongside Connacht's Ben Murphy and Ulster's Neil Munster Player of the Year Awards don't happen until September and while Casey may have missed out on being nominated for the Ireland Mens' Senior Player of the Year award (Jamison Gibson-Park, Caelan Doris and Tadhg Beirne were) he did make the URC Dream is reserved for players who have played in 10 matches over the course of the regular season: Gibson-Park didn't play enough games; Alex Mitchell and Tomas Williams were ineligible as they play in England, as is White who plays in though, Casey's URC endorsement makes him the 'best of the rest' across the four Irish provinces, four Welsh franchises and two Scottish clubs. 'I definitely wanted to be there," said Casey of disappointment following the Lions squad's announcement. "I am gutted to be honest."You're waiting, hoping for your name to be called out, and then it went straight to Elliot Daly, that's when you know because of the alphabet.'I was actually with all the lads, we had just finished the captain's run for the game that weekend and we were out for lunch.'I was like, 'Nah, I'm rushing home'. They were like, 'Ah, stay'. I was like, 'Not a hope am I watching it with all ye dopes!''My parents and my girlfriend were working, so I said I'd watch it in a room by myself. And then I stayed in that room by myself for two-and-a-half hours after that!'I have just come off the back of an injury, so I wouldn't wish injury on any of the three scrum-halves that have been picked. They are really good players. I would like to think I'd be in contention if something did happen but again I'm probably not really in control of that." Meanwhile should Casey be called up to the Lions squad it is unclear as to who Ireland have on standby. Connacht's Caolin Blade is the last scrum-half other than Gibson-Park, Murray and Casey to have gained a senior cap, coming on a sub against South Africa in July 2024, playing 21 minutes. That was his fourth cap, all came as a sub. Leinster's Luke McGrath is the last scrum-half to start a match for Ireland other than Gibson-Park/Murray/Casey and that was at the 2019 Rugby World Cup, against Russia, and that was under Joe Schmidt. Farrell, almost pointedly, jettisoned McGrath when he took control on the return from Japan. Leinster's Year Two Academy scrum-half Fintan Gunne was a late call-up to the bench for the URC final against Bulls and, indeed, scored a fine try when he came in. Ulster's Dan Shanahan, 31, has been with the club since 2013, made 99 appearances, and has just signed a contract renewal for next season.
