She had reportedly "fallen from a height" and was found inches from death after fleeing what some feared was a 'Porta Potty' party — a sordid underworld event allegedly involving the abuse of young women by the super-rich.
Maria is now recovering in Norway, where her mother lives, and has told her side of the story for the first time.
She also revealed a prominent scar on her forehead after undergoing multiple surgeries.
Speaking to Russian news outlet Ostorozhno, Novosti, the model said: 'I mostly use a wheelchair and crutches.
'I still have a leg fracture that's healing.
'I'm learning to walk with crutches again, but for now, the wheelchair is my main means of moving around.'
There were initial claims Maria had been kidnapped into a sex trafficking ring linked to the notorious 'Porta Potty' scene — disturbing events reportedly involving high-paying UAE clients who degrade women, often influencers, for large sums.
But Maria has now denied any involvement of Emirati citizens in her brutal ordeal.
She instead accusing the privileged children of wealthy Russian and Ukrainian businessmen of abusing her after a wild party in a Dubai hotel.
What are Porta Potty parties?
PORTA potty parties are events, usually in the United Arab Emirates, where women are paid large amounts of money to sexually gratify wealthy men - in often highly degrading ways.
It's thought that the women are sometimes duped into participating on false pretences - such as the promise of a modelling contract.
At the events, men exploit the opportunity to commit depraved acts on the women.
The name supposedly comes from the fact that the deeply disturbing acts can include men treating women as human toilets.
Women, often from ex-Soviet countries, are lured in by the promise of a glamorous lifestyle and highly paid careers in the oil-rich states.
An expert told The Sun that, once in the country, they fall under the complete control of the men and can be raped, drugged or even end up dead.
Recruiters often target attractive women with online presences, or even TV stars.
Radha Stirling, founder and CEO of Detained in Dubai, told The Sun: "It's exploitation disguised as glamour or opportunity. Women, in particular, are offered all sorts of opportunities in Dubai.
"They might be offered to come and model, to come and play music, or to expand their career in some way or another.
"But what they don't realise is that when they get there, they are essentially at the beck and call of whoever has brought them there.
"They're under their complete control and they put themselves in such a risky position where they could end up gang raped, they could end up drugged, they could end up dead."
According to Maria, she had missed her flight to Thailand while staying at the luxury Five Jumeirah Village hotel and was offered a place to stay by a 19-year-old man she had recently met at a karaoke bar.
He claimed his father could fly her out on a private jet.
What began as a seemingly harmless offer allegedly spiraled into a nightmare.
'They started teasing me, why I wasn't drinking,' she said.
'Then some aggressive pushes like pushing in the shoulders began.
'After that, they started making fun of me like 'you belong to us, we will do whatever we want'.'
She described how the group began smashing bottles and glass on the floor, making it impossible to move barefoot, and said they took her passport and belongings.
One of the girls allegedly left the hotel wearing Maria's clothes, ignoring her pleas.
She claims the men 'hinted' they wanted sex — and when she refused, things escalated.
'I did not reciprocate, and this aggression was also heating them up,' she said.
Maria says she tried to escape and hid at a nearby construction site — but was tracked down, beaten, and thrown from a ledge.

'They practically tore the skin off her scalp, then threw her off a ledge onto the road,' the report states.
'I ran away… I ran to the nearest building, just scared, and ran in, hid there. It was just an unfinished building, open,' Maria recalled.
She was eventually found in a hotel bathrobe by a passing driver who called an ambulance.
She fell into a coma and remained unconscious for days.
CCTV footage that could have shown what happened was allegedly erased after three months, Maria claims, leaving no video evidence.
'The police waited until the cameras were automatically wiped… So now there's no evidence,' she said.
Dubai police are said to have detained the accused young men — briefly — but released them the following day, with the case reportedly closed.
'They now claim in their testimonies that they tried to find and help Maria and that she had asked to come to the party herself,' said her mother, Anna.

She slammed the official version of events as 'falsified' — including a police claim that Maria had tried to end her life.
'The [Dubai] police investigation indicated that Maria said that she was running away from sexual violence and then went to protect her honour, her dignity, decided to commit suicide,' Anna said.
'This statement was falsified.'
She also rejected reports that her daughter had been intoxicated, insisting medical tests showed no alcohol in her system.
Maria's mother revealed that her daughter's high-cost medical treatment in Dubai — running into the millions — was paid for by local authorities.
'I don't know how much they paid — the sum was colossal, millions,' she said.
Ostorozhno, Novosti reported that in exchange, she was asked not to say "anything that would cast the Emirate's authorities in a negative light".
The shocking case comes after months of speculation and media frenzy over Maria's condition and whereabouts.
Initial reports suggested she had been lured into a disturbing sex trap, with some linking her disappearance to the dark world of elite 'Porta Potty' parties in the UAE.
A source close to Maria previously said she had been abused not by Emirati men, but by 'Russian citizens who tortured Maria'.
'She was found with a broken spine, arms and legs — and unable to speak,' the insider said.
One fellow model described such elite parties as involving 'rape, beatings, and mistreatment,' often under the false promise of money and fame.
Before her disappearance, Maria had appeared at a Dubai event supporting jailed Russian sociologist Boris Kagarlitsky, who has been sentenced to five years for allegedly justifying terrorism.
His daughter, Ksenia, previously said: 'She will be able to walk… This is all very good news. But the details will come later, when she leaves the country.'

EXCLUSIVE Shia LaBeouf FINALLY settles explosive sexual battery lawsuit with ex FKA Twigs
FKA Twigs has officially ended her legal battle with ex-boyfriend Shia LaBeouf, nearly four years after filing a high-profile lawsuit accusing the actor of abuse. According to court documents, obtained by TMZ, on Monday, the 37-year-old British musician (born Tahliah Debrett Barnett) has requested to dismiss all claims against LaBeouf, 39, with prejudice, meaning she cannot bring the case back to court in the future. The lawsuit, filed in 2020, sought $10 million in damages and alleged sexual battery, assault, and emotional distress during the couple's relationship. The two began dating after meeting on the set of LaBeouf's 2019 semi-autobiographical film Honey Boy, in which Twigs was cast. In a statement provided to attorneys for both parties confirmed the matter had been resolved privately. 'Committed to forging a constructive path forward, we have agreed to settle our case out of court. While the details of the settlement will remain private, we wish each other personal happiness, professional success and peace in the future,' the pair's respective attorneys said. LaBeouf was represented by Shawn Holley while Twigs hired Los Angeles-based lawyer, Bryan Freedman, who is currently defending actor Justin Baldoni in his legal battle against Blake Lively. Twigs' original complaint included several disturbing allegations, including claims that LaBeouf knowingly gave her a sexually transmitted disease and once threatened to crash a car with her inside. She also alleged he physically assaulted her at a gas station following that incident. LaBeouf has denied many of the allegations but issued a public statement at the time of the filing, acknowledging his history of harmful behavior. 'I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations,' he told The New York Times. 'I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I'm ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt.' In March 2024, Twigs detailed the aftermath of her relationship with LaBeouf in a vulnerable Vogue interview. 'I think naively I thought it would be like any other break-up, that I'd be sad for six months to a year, and then one day I'd wake up and everything would be fine,' she told the outlet. The performer continued: 'But the fact is being abused changes the whole of your nervous system. Because my window of tolerance is now much smaller than it used to be, my body manifests stress in quite extreme ways – it really shows me when it's upset.' Twigs filed her lawsuit against the star with a slew of explosive allegations, which the actor finally addressed in 2022, although the singer slammed his 'gaslighting'. In response to her explosive allegations, LaBeouf branded his ex a 'saint' and recalled how she 'saved' his life and inspired him to wake up and take responsibility for his actions. Meanwhile, Twigs called their relationship 'the worst thing I've ever been through in my life.' During his appearance on Jon Bernthal's podcast, Real Ones in 2022, he said: 'I hurt that woman. And in the process of doing that, I hurt many other people, and many other people before that woman. 'I was a pleasure-seeking, selfish, self-centered, dishonest, inconsiderate, fearful human being ... When I think about what my life has become, and what it is now, like what my purpose is now ... I need to be useful.' Among her allegations, Twigs accused Shia of violently attacking and strangling her, knowingly infecting her with an STD, and physical and verbal violence. But LaBeouf, who has been diagnosed with PTSD and alcoholism, insisted in 2022 that he is in a better place now. He explained; 'I'm in the tribe of the f***-ups. I'm a very public sinner, a very fallible person in the public sphere. What I think now my purpose is, is to not do… 'The other examples that we've had of how to navigate something like this — which is to go after the woman, or try to win a court case, or get back into a f****** movie or like get back on at all... 'My purpose, and I mean this with every fibre of my being, is to be instructive with my life, so that I can be an advertisement, like a billboard, for a principled way of living.' In her Vogue spread, FKA elaborated on the depths of her pain, writing: 'I've had to be very compassionate with myself and really listen to myself to get better... 'Now I want to challenge myself to know more about the simple, most pure and important things: love, nature, food, a nontoxic lifestyle, my body. The path I'm on is not the pastel pink yoga leggings aesthetic.' Since then, she has found love with Jordan Hemingway, with whom she went public with in March 2023. While speaking about her new romance, she gushed: 'I've kissed a few frogs to get there but I feel that Jordan listens to me and opens me up in a way that no one really has ever been able to.' 'When I'm with somebody who's not in the public eye in the way I am, I'm conscious of everything I can do to make that situation as comfortable as possible because I've been on the other side of it,' she explained. 'And it's really not nice. Right now I feel so ready to stand up for things that I believe in, to protect people who I love.' Meanwhile, LaBeouf is married to actress Mia Goth, whom he shares a daughter named Isabel. Over the years, the pair's relationship has weathered a few storms, including a separation and a divorce filing in 2018.

Lottie Moss shows off her incredible figure in a skimpy orange bikini as she shares sizzling holiday snap
Lottie Moss showed off her incredible figure in a skimpy orange bikini on her Instagram Story on Tuesday. The English model, 27, who is on vacation in Saint-Tropez, looked nothing short of sensational in the stylish two-piece, featuring a halterneck bikini top and matching tie-side bottoms. Posing up a storm in a mirror, Lottie further accessorised her poolside look with black shades. The bikini-clad snap comes just a day after Lottie sizzled in a skimpy bikini as she partied the night away with her pals. The half-sister of supermodel Kate Moss, 51, took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her lavish holiday in France. In one snap, the former OnlyFans content creator stunned in a gorgeous Bydee bikini in Zephyrus print, which she paired with a matching beach skirt. Switching it up, the blonde personality then posted a side picture in a nude button bikini top and a white bandana. Alongside her album of holiday snaps, Lottie penned: 'Life's a party I guess'. Earlier this month Lottie revealed she is using her personal diaries to write a biography about her childhood and turbulent life in the spotlight. Lottie will not hold back as she reflects on her battles with alcohol and substance abuse issues, according to the Sun. It's understood that she has kept written and video diaries since she was a teenager and will be using them to reference her colourful past. An insider said: 'Lottie has always been known as Kate's little sister — but this is her chance to tell her side of the story. 'She has kept written and video diaries since she was a teenager, so will be compiling all her scribbles and memories into the book. 'Lottie is excited to tell the truth about her struggles with body image, addiction and relationships.' MailOnline contacted Lottie's representatives for a comment at the time. Lottie recently revealed that she went back to her natural look and had her jaw and lip filler dissolved, as well as a tattoo removed just under her eye. She revealed that she finally 'feels like herself again' after enlisting Dr Rosh (also known as Dr Roshan Ravindran) to reverse her filler, thanking him for 'fixing' her. In an exclusive video seen by MailOnline, Lottie is seen getting treated by Dr Rosh, who is considered the world's number one aesthetics doctor. After years of cosmetic tweaks, the blonde beauty reflected on her decision to dissolve her previous filler as she complained about how puffy and overdone she'd felt. Speaking to the doctor, a radiant-looking Lottie remarked: 'You fixed me.' 'I've got a bruise on my lip because I'm dissolving all of my filler, but I just feel like myself again. Like, my face looks like me again.' Reflecting on her old jaw and lip filler, Lottie admitted she 'looked awful', going on to say: 'I was really puffy when I came to you from the last person. It was bad.' Guiding her through the next steps, Dr Rosh told Lottie: 'It's better just to align things, isn't it?' before offering options to lift the brow, relax the jawline or refine cheek structure. Clearly chuffed with her new, natural look, Lottie said: 'I love how it looks now. So much better, so much more proportionate.'
