America bombed Yemen murdering civilians just yesterday. All of these deaths are a direct response from genocidal powers that learned from each other that you can carry out war crimes with impunity while the world swallows its tongue. Whether it's Zionism,
Hindutva fascism
or American exceptionalism, imperialism continues to rage on and burn all in its path."
Netizens criticised her for sharing it and many told her to leave India. After facing this backlash, Mandana issued a clarification post. It read, 'What a storm one story can cause. A simple message about peace—not religion, not politics—sparked an avalanche of hate."
She added, "I'm proud of India. I'm proud of how far this country has come. I have deep respect for the Indian government—for what it's done to protect its borders, grow its economy, and stand tall on the global stage."

The actress also added that she's been living in India for 16 years and made it her home.
Commenting on the trolls, she slammed them and said, "Faceless accounts and fake names telling me to 'go back to my country,' questioning my right to speak… I've worked hard, adapted, contributed, and made this place my home—with love, effort, and respect. If you think I'm 'nobody,' then why are you even here? Hate takes effort. And energy. You're not a hater. You're just a confused fan. Keep your shade. I'll keep my peace."
However, Mandana later deleted this post.

Last Updated: Popular Tamil actor and comedian Madhan Bob, known for his expressive comic timing, passed away at 71. Popular Tamil actor and comedian Madhan Bob, best known for his expressive comic timing and quirky screen presence, passed away on Saturday, August 2, at the age of 71. The veteran actor had been battling cancer and breathed his last at his residence in Adyar, Chennai, according to sources close to the family. Born as S. Krishnamoorthy, Madhan Bob carved a niche for himself in Tamil cinema over a career spanning four decades. He became a household name in the 1990s and 2000s, appearing in over 200 films, often in supporting and comic roles. His unique acting style, marked by his bulging eyes, animated facial expressions, and quick repartee, was reportedly inspired by veteran actor Kaka Radhakrishnan. Madhan Bob made his film debut in the early 1980s and gradually rose to prominence with roles in Neengal Kettavai (1984), Vaaname Ellai (1992), and Thevar Magan. He became a familiar face in hit comedies like Sathi Leelavathi, Chandramukhi, Kaavalan, Run, Varalaaru, and Vasool Raja MBBS. More recently, he appeared in films like Yaman Kattalai and Raayan. He shared screen space with stars like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay, Ajith, and Suriya. Apart from films, he gained widespread popularity as a judge on Sun TV's comedy reality show Asatha Povathu Yaaru, where his quirky reactions and laugh-out-loud moments made him a fan favourite across generations. What many don't know is that Madhan Bob was also a trained musician. As the eighth child in his family, he often credited his upbringing for grounding him in both music and comedy. May his soul rest in peace. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive. Kal Penn says Saath Nibhaana Saathiya Had A 'Ridiculous' Plot Line: 'Super Addictive'
Last Updated: Kal Penn says Saath Nibhaana Saathiya helped him learn Hindi and reveals he wants to appear on both Delhi Crime and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Before Saath Nibhaana Saathiya became a viral internet sensation thanks to the now-iconic 'Rasode mein kaun tha?" remix, many people outside of Indian TV audiences had barely heard of it. But for Kal Penn, the show played a much more personal role – it was actually one of his first Hindi tutors. During a candid chat at Express Adda, hosted by The Indian Express Group, the Harold & Kumar star opened up about his relationship with Indian shows, his love for desi TV dramas, and the surprising ways they've shaped his understanding of the language. Kal, who is fluent in English and Gujarati, admitted that Hindi isn't exactly his strongest suit – but he found an unexpected teacher in the drama-heavy, twist-filled world of Indian soaps. 'This is hard because Hindi is not my first language. It is English and then Gujarati. But one of the ways that I started trying to learn Hindi was through episodes of Saath Nibhana Saathiya," he said. 'Because the level of Hindi is accessible to somebody who is learning Hindi. They have super addictive, ridiculous plot lines. So I will go with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi." The actor-comedian also had high praise for the sheer variety in Indian entertainment, calling out how different shows represent a wide range of voices and styles. He's clearly a fan of both light-hearted comedies and gritty crime dramas. 'I got to know Asit Modi a couple of years ago and I did a set visit to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and I was geeking out over this – it is like one of the most watched shows on the planet. It is not everybody's palate, and very different from Delhi Crime. But, you look at it what India is turning out and the spectrum of voices and content… I be like, 'this is so cool.' I want to be on both shows. I would love to do episodes of Delhi Crime." Asked to pick between Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Kal didn't hesitate to bring it back to where it all started – with the dramatic, meme-friendly world of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. Kal Penn, born Kalpen Suresh Modi, is best known for his roles in House, Harold & Kumar, and a guest appearance on How I Met Your Mother. Beyond acting, he's also an author and a former White House staffer during Barack Obama's presidency. Meanwhile, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, the show that helped Kal get a grip on Hindi, ran for over 2,100 episodes between 2010 and 2017 – becoming one of the longest-running TV dramas in Indian history. view comments First Published: August 03, 2025, 07:33 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. About 'Dhadak 2' Directed by Shazia Iqbal, 'Dhadak 2' is a remake of the Tamil film 'Pariyerum Perumal.'Sequel to Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer 'Dhadak,' the movie shows how even in today's day and age, the shadow of casteism lurks over the society. The story is about a boy falling in love with a girl who comes from an upper caste background. The girl's family uses every trick in the book to humiliate the boy and to show him that his love stands no chance because of his caste. 'Dhadak 2' review With a rating of 3.5 stars from The Times of India, here's an excerpt from our review - 'Siddhant Chaturvedi is excellent, capturing the transformation from a meek young man to a self‑assured individual. Triptii Dimri is convincing as a naive yet supportive partner, while Vipin Sharma makes a brief but memorable impact as Nilesh's father."
