Bidar: Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar has instructed department officials to ensure that the Anganwadi recruitment process is made simpler and more transparent, with all appointments completed within a maximum of three months.
Chairing the Kalaburagi divisional-level departmental progress review meeting, the Minister emphasized that no delay should be allowed in recruitments and that any issues during the process must be resolved immediately. 'Our department is closely connected to people's lives. Officials must

Gujarat beats other states in implementation of PM-JANMAN in July

Gujarat has secured the top rank, beating all other states in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) in July 2025, according to a government release, which cited the monthly rankings of states released under the scheme. Of the 75 Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) residing in the 18 states and one Union Territory, five — Kathodi, Kotwalia, Padhar, Siddi and Kolgha — are in Gujarat The mission, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in November 2023, aims at comprehensive development of the PVTGs by providing critical infrastructure and basic services within a set timeframe. Sub-plan funds are spent as per rules, says Priyank

Kalaburagi: Our govt is spending the Scheduled Caste Sub Plan (SCSP) and Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) funds according to the rules. If the funds were used for other purposes, let the BJP provide evidence, and we will take action, said rural development and panchayat raj minister Priyank Kharge. On Monday, Priyank told reporters that during the BJP's Basavaraj Bommai tenure, the SCSP and TSP funds were spent elsewhere. "Bommai himself admitted it. After we came to power, we repealed the '7D' sub-clause of this act. Now, we are utilising the funds under rules 7A, 7B, and 7C. Let them point out if any rules were violated," he challenged. "If BJP leaders truly care about Dalits and tribals, they should strive to implement the SCSP and TSP Act at the Union govt level," he said. When asked about the BJP protest over the lack of fertiliser, Kharge retorted, saying BJP members should protest in Delhi and ensure the supply of fertilisers to the state.
