QPR boss Marti Cifuentes is not on West Bromwich Albion's shortlist for their head coach vacancy, reports BBC Radio WM, external.The Spaniard, who was put on gardening leave by Rangers last night, has been linked with The Hawthorns - replacing Tony Mowbray - and also the job at Norwich City.According to BBC Radio WM, West Brom have not offered the job to anyone and are "continuing with their recruitment process".Cifuentes was appointed as QPR boss in October 2023, replacing Gareth Ainsworth, and led them to Championship safety, having taken over when they were second from bottom.After another slow start this season, the Londoners are 15th in the table and will have assistant coaches Kevin Betsy and Xavi Calm in charge for their final game of the campaign at Sunderland on Saturday."This is naturally a disappointing situation for everyone concerned," said QPR chief executive Christian Nourry."As a club, we are working to ensure this matter is resolved as swiftly as possible so we can start preparations in earnest for the future."Tony Mowbray was sacked by West Brom last week after getting only five wins in 18 league games, ending their play-off hopes.James Morrison remains as interim head coach for their last game of the season at home against Luton on Saturday.

Wrexham to complete first part of Premier League transfer raid as medical booked
Wrexham want to recruit Premier League experience following their promotion to the Championship, as co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney bid to reach the top flight Wrexham are on the verge of completing their second signing of the summer transfer window. A deal has been agreed to sign Leicester goalkeeper Danny Ward, who'll undergo a medical ahead of a free transfer to his hometown club. Ward, 32, is out of contract at Leicester, with his deal officially expiring on Monday. The 44-time Wales international played five times last season and was unable to help Leicester avoid relegation from the Premier League. The Foxes will play Wrexham in the Championship next term, with the Welsh side having secured promotion for the third year in a row. Co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney want to bring in Premier League experience, as they aim to make it four successive promotions and reach the top flight. Former England duo Danny Ings and Aaron Cresswell have also been linked with moves to the Racecourse Ground, as they're both out of contract at West Ham. Wrexham have already signed striker Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle, reportedly paying £700,00 for his signature. Next up will be Ward, who Wrexham have booked a medical for, according the Mail. The 32-year-old will initially start as backup to Wrexham's first-choice goalkeeper, Arthur Okonkwo. Ward was born in Wrexham and came through the club's academy before joining Liverpool. He joined Leicester in 2018 and made 52 appearances across the next six seasons, largely playing understudy to No.1 Kasper Schmeichel. Wrexham, who'll start their Championship away to Southampton, are also working on a mystery signing. Manager Phil Parksinon has revealed that Reynolds and McElhenney have personally contacted the unnamed target in the hope of persuading him to join. "We're looking to sign a player and we've got a lot of competition to get the signature," Parkinson said. Fans camp out in Wimbledon ticket queue over ‘mini-festival' weekend
Retired nurse Vicki Broad, 57, arrived on Friday morning, making her the first in line for Monday's play – three days before the tournament got under way. Ms Broad, from Swansea, told PA news agency: 'We've been fifth and sixth previously but we've never been to the front of the before. 'We didn't even notice we were at the front until someone came and sat down behind us. 'It's a lovely thing to achieve but it's been exhausting.' 'She's from Swansea, so we have to show our support,' Ms Broad added. June 30 marks the cut-off point for players whose deals had been due to expire at the end of the 2024-25 season, with the vast majority of their futures already confirmed by club announcements.
