Rangers boss Martin coy on Vardy links
Vardy, 38, scored nine Premier League goals for Leicester City last season but could not prevent them being relegated to the Championship and left upon the expiry of his contract earlier this summer.

He scored exactly 200 goals for Leicester in 500 appearances across a 13-year stint which included two promotions, an FA Cup winner's medal and an unforgettable Premier League triumph in the 2015-16 season.
Reports in Italy on Sunday suggested Genoa have failed in a bid to lure the former England international to Serie A.
Rangers have also been mentioned as a potential destination and Martin was asked directly if Vardy is a target after a 2-2 pre-season draw against Belgian champions Club Brugge.
"I think I've been asked about so many players," Martin said.
"Some miles away, some on the money. So basically, I'm not going to give you an answer on that.

"But I guess you'll find out who's real and who's not in the next few weeks."
Rangers have also been linked with defenders Conor Coady and Nasser Djiga and Martin said he expects "the squad to look different in a week's time".
"I think we definitely want to do more, for sure," the former Southampton manager said. "And also probably some players need to move on as well at some point because the squad's going to start looking very big and very heavy."

Six Marseille players to train away from first-team
Olympique de Marseille's list of undesirables is looking a little more defined. As per a report from Foot Mercato, six first-team players will train with the Pro 2 side, away from the first team, upon their return for pre-season training. The six players in question are Bamo Meïté, Azzedine Ounahi, Faris Moumbagna, Ruben Blanco, Simon Ngapandouetnbu, and Ismaël Koné. Meïté, Ounahi, and Koné spent either all or part of last season out on loan away from Marseille. Whilst all have now returned to their parent club, they are not expected to stay at the Commanderie, or that is the club's desire, at least. Moumbagna, meanwhile, missed the vast majority of OM's campaign with a serious knee injury. Chase Claypool says he's stronger and faster than ever after missing last season
Almost a year ago, wide receiver Chase Claypool suffered a toe injury in Bills training camp that was initially described as day-to-day but ended up being so serious that it cost him the entire season. Now Claypool is unsigned, but says he's ready to have the best year of his career. Claypool wrote on social media that he needed extensive medical treatment and rehab but is now capable of doing everything he's ever done on the football field. "I am back to being the strongest and fastest I've ever been and couldn't be more excited to step back out on the field and let my actions speak for themselves. The 27-year-old Claypool has talent, which is why the Steelers drafted him in the second round in 2020 and why the Bears traded a second-round pick to acquire him in 2022. But after a promising first couple of seasons in Pittsburgh, his production plummeted. In 2023 he caught just eight passes while playing for two teams, the Bears and Dolphins, and then didn't play at all in 2024. Claypool has fallen a long way from when he was one of the NFL's best rookie receivers five years ago, but he has shown enough in his NFL career that some team will likely give him a chance to show in training camp that he really is stronger and faster than ever.
