As fans wait patiently for updates on the film, a new report indicates that the film might just be ready to transcend geographic and linguistic borders. The film starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, will reportedly be dubbed into multiple international languages, including English, Japanese, and Mandarin, as part of a massive global rollout. Dubbed In Multiple Languages Much like how the classical Japanese animated film 'Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Ram ', was released worldwide in multiple languages, this big-budget Indian film will also be dubbed, however, in a significant creative decision, the producers have decided that all shlokas (verses) and bhajans (devotional songs) featured in the film will remain in their original languages. This is believed to be to to preserve the cultural and spiritual authenticity of the text. Film To Be On Par with Dune and Avatar Backing the project is producer Namit Malhotra, who previously worked on Hollywood VFX blockbusters like 'Dune' and 'The Dark Knight', in a bold statement, declared that the film will set a new paradigm for Indian cinema. In a statement, he said, "Our movie will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the biggest productions in the world like the Dune and Avatar." Huge Budget The VFX-heavy adaptation, which will be released in two parts, promises a grand visual spectacle with state-of-the-art technology and global-standard production design. With a reported budget exceeding Rs 4,000 crore, 'Ramayana' is poised to be one of the most ambitious cinematic undertakings in Indian film history. While filming of the first part is complete, the team reportedly still has portions of the second part to shoot. 'Ramayana' Part 1 is set to hit the big screens on Diwali 2026 and subsequently the second part on Diwali 2027.
