Imagine Dragons frontman kisses Palestinian flag at Milan concert sparking social media frenzy
A shirtless Dan Reynolds draped himself in the politically-charged pennant while taking his final bows with bandmates on May 27 during the band's Milan stop on their Loom World Tour.
The frontman held up the flag to cheering fans — waving it for the tens of thousands of Italian attendees — then kissing the flag in a gesture that drew ire from many on social media.

'It looks like the band 'Imagine Dragons' supports terrorism,' ACT for America Chairman Brigitte Gabriel wrote on X.
'I actually really liked Imagine Dragons, but now it seems they genuinely hate my people. It's disgusting how people still view Palestine as a moral virtue when it's all a myth,' one user wrote on X.

'Imagine Dragons ends their concert by waving their solidarity with TERRORISTS. They're calling for 'gay rights' and 'free Palestine.' Essentially, they just called for the deaths of all gay people — and their music career,' another angry pro-Israel user wrote.
Bassist Ben McKee also used the stage to promote a pet cause — displaying a guitar painted like the transgender pride flag which had a heart painted in the style of a gay pride flag on its back, video showed.

However, many pro-Palestinian fans applauded the band's political stance

One viral pro-Palestinian post applauded the 'powerful gesture.'
A Palestinian X-user wrote, 'Very nice to see more people showing support.'
'Omg Radiohead has now been lapped by IMAGINE DRAGONS?!?,' Stand-up comedian Matt Lieb wrote in another viral X post, in reference to Radiohead lead singer Thom Yorke walking off stage last year when confronted by an anti-Israel protestor.

Imagine Dragons previously drew the ire of anti-Israel factions by performing in the country.
On August 29, 2023, roughly one month before the October 7th Massacre, the American band performed a concert at Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv despite calls for them to cancel the show.
Earlier in the performance, Reynolds, still without a shirt, paraded around the stage with a Ukrainian flag, video showed.

Elon Musk's Tesla Diner Hit With Inflatable Nazi Protest
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Elon Musk's Tesla-themed diner in Hollywood became the scene of an anti-Musk protest on Sunday. Protestors gathered outside the futuristic eatery with balloons resembling Musk that were animated to do Nazi salutes, in reference to a widely-criticized gesture that the tech billionaire made on President Donald Trump's Inauguration Day. Newsweek has contacted Musk for comment via Tesla's press office. The Context The Tesla CEO's new diner opened in Hollywood on Monday, though it has been unable to escape the wave of protests that have followed Musk's signature tech company since his work within the Trump administration. Protestors across the world have targeted Tesla in a reaction to Musk's actions in the Department of Government Efficiency, which the billionaire left in June, and many of those protests have used Nazi imagery after his gesture and support of a right-wing conservative party in last year's German elections. What To Know In images of the protest seen on Musk's own social media platform, X, formerly Twitter, a group of protesters can be seen standing outside the new diner with two balloons that resemble Musk. The inflatables have been made to constantly mimic the gesture Musk made in January, while the protesters hold signs that say, "Boycott Tesla." (@nadjiasusie) July 27, 2025 Musk responded to the targeting of his new location on X, saying: "This is obviously a paid attack with no popular support, as it is just a few people with public passersby ignoring them. Only question is who's paying them?" The Tesla Diner on July 11, 2025, in Hollywood, California. The Tesla Diner on July 11, 2025, in Hollywood, California. Getty Images Protests against Tesla peaked in April and May this year, when Musk was at the height of his power in the White House. Since departing, actions against the company's vehicles have died down. Tesla reported its third quarter in a row of declining profits on Thursday, following a disappointing second quarter of 2025 that saw a 16 percent drop in profits. What People Are Saying Elon Musk wrote about the diner's launch on his social media platform X on Monday: "If our retro-futuristic diner turns out well, which I think it will, Tesla will establish these in major cities around the world, as well as at Supercharger sites on long-distance routes. An island of good food, good vibes and entertainment, all while Supercharging!" What Happens Next Musk has indicated that Tesla could expand the Diner & Drive-In format to additional urban centers and select Supercharger locations across the U.S. and globally, if the Hollywood pilot generates enough public interest and income.

Hulk Hogan's Son Nick Breaks His Silence on Dad's Death, Details His Final Years: 'Thank You for Being My Best Friend'
The former pro-wrestling superstar was 71 when he died on Thursday, July 24 Nick Hogan is remembering his father Hulk Hogan as both his "best friend" and the "best dad in the world." On Saturday, July 26, the 35-year-old son of the late pro-wrestling star shared an emotional tribute to Instagram, two days after Hulk died at the age of 71. Alongside 20 photos of himself and his father, Nick posted a lengthy caption, thanking those who've reached out to him and calling Hulk's death "overwhelming and extremely difficult." "Hearing so many kind words and stories about my dad's life, interactions and experiences with everyone has been incredible and comforting," Nick wrote. "My dad was the most incredible person I've ever known and will always be my hero. He was the most kind, loving and amazing father anybody could ask for. I feel so blessed to have had the greatest dad in the world." "He was not only the best dad but also my mentor and my best friend. He always has been my best friend and I love him and miss him more than I could ever explain," he continued. "I thanked him for everything he has ever done for me and told him how much I loved him and hugged him every chance I got. I spent a lot of time with him the past few years after moving back to Florida to be closer to him and I am so grateful for those memories. They are the best moments in my life." Nick concluded his tribute by writing that he'd "do anything to have him back," before acknowledging Hulk is now "watching over" him. "I will always remember the lessons and advice he gave me and carry on in a way that I know would make him proud," he wrote. "Thank you for being the best dad in the world and thank you for being my best friend. I love you so much Big Dog and I will miss you forever." The emotional tribute featured photos of Nick and Hulk spanning three decades — from a screenshot of a WWE broadcast featuring the father-son duo wearing matching "Hulkamania" attire to a snap of them years later in matching white button-up shirts. In the photos, Nick and Hulk could also be seen working out together at the gym, smiling on a private jet, driving on a road trip and even behind a DJ booth — as the post wrapped with one final photo of Nick showing off his muscles next to his father. Several fans and friends shared their condolences with Nick in the post's comments section, with professional wrestler Nattie Neidhart recognizing his "beautiful words" and Lil Jon sharing some additional love. Nick's last post on the platform came just over a month prior to his father's death, when he wished Hulk a happy Father's Day, alongside a throwback snap of the duo striking a pose when he was a kid. The WWE confirmed the news of Hulk's death on Thursday in a statement shared with PEOPLE. First responders spent 30 minutes attempting to revive Hogan this week after being called to his home for a reported cardiac arrest at 9:51 a.m. on Thursday, before he was pronounced dead at a hospital. Beyond his accomplishments in wrestling throughout his lifetime, Hogan also faced multiple controversies in recent years, including backlash for his support of President Donald Trump at the 2024 Republican National Convention and a racist rant leaked in 2015 — which he later called "unacceptable" in an apology. Hulk, whose real name was Terry Bollea, shared both Nick and daughter Brooke with ex Linda Hogan, whom he was married to from 1983 until 2009. His wife, Sky Daily, also posted a tribute to the reality television star after his death this week, confirming that he 'had been dealing with" health issues. 'I wasn't ready for this…and my heart is in pieces,' Daily, his third wife, wrote on Friday. 'He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them. I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time.' 'This loss is sudden and impossible to process,' she added. 'To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart.' Read the original article on People
