RPSC School Lecturer Recruitment 2025: Exam dates rescheduled for some papers to avoid clash with UGC NET, details here

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission has rescheduled the dates of three papers of the School Lecturer Recruitment Exam 2025 to avoid clash with UGC NET 2025. Candidates appearing for the exam can check the revised schedule on the official website of RPSC at rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. Notably, the recruitment exams were scheduled between June 23, 2025 to July 4, 2025.
As per the official notice, the exams for the following papers have been changed: Group A - SANSKRIT (PAPER-II): June 25, 2025. Group B - POLITICAL SCIENCE (PAPER-I: GEN. AWARENESS AND GEN. STUDIES), POLITICAL SCIENCE (PAPER-II): June 26, 2025. Group B - SOCIOLOGY (PAPER-II): June 29, 2025. Revised dates: Group A - SANSKRIT (PAPER-II): July 5, 2025 (9 AM TO 12 PM) Group B - SOCIOLOGY (PAPER-II): July 5, 2025 (2:30 PM TO 5:30 PM) Group E - POLITICAL SCIENCE (PAPER-I: GEN. Earlier, the commission had informed that candidates should ensure that they enter the exam centre 60 minutes before the exam starts. After that, entry will not be permitted.
Additionally, candidates must bring the admit card along with a coloured printout of the main admit card for identity verification. If the photograph on the main admit card is old or not clear, they need to bring driving license, passport or voter ID where the photograph is recent and clear.
In addition, RPSC has warned candidates not to fall for any misleading claims, and if they receive any, they must report it to the commission's control room at 0145-2635200, 2635212, 2635255.

Teachers to protest over unpaid salaries
Patna: Over 20,000 serving and retired Sanskrit and madrassa teachers across the state are set to stage a large protest outside the state legislature on July 23 to highlight the long-standing non-payment of their salaries and pensions. The protest will be organised by the Bihar Sanskrit Teachers' Association and the Bihar Madrasa Teachers' Association. General secretaries Shobha Kant Jha and Syed Mohibbul Haq, respectively, said on Monday that teachers had been pushed to the brink of starvation due to the education department's alleged indifference. They added that despite Patna high court orders dating back to Aug 13, 2019 and subsequent rulings, the department has failed to release the necessary funds. "The department intentionally releases funds just one or two days before the end of the financial year, causing the sanctioned amount to lapse," they said. The teachers have demanded immediate disbursement of arrears for both salaries and pensions, following proper pay fixation under the revised pay scales. They warned that continued inaction could lead to intensified agitation in the coming weeks.

Spreading Bhagavad Gita's message in ‘mohallas' will strengthen Hindu Rashtra: Rane
Maharashtra minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitesh Rane said on Sunday that the idea of the Hindu Rashtra would be strengthened if teachings of the Bhagavad Gita were propagated in 'mohallas' for the 'transformation of thoughts'. Rane further suggested that instead of deepening divides among Hindus, efforts should be made to teach Marathi to those who have lived in Mumbai for decades but have not embraced the language. (HT FILE) Noting that the Gita never preaches hatred or advocates (religious) conversions, Rane said, 'If its teachings spread to mohallas (Muslim areas), even their thoughts will transform. This will make our Hindu Rashtra stronger'. 'Teachings of the Bhagavad Gita promote harmony and transformation of thought. Its message should reach every corner,' he told reporters. Amid a row over the inclusion of Hindi in the school curriculum from class 1 and demonstrations staged by the Opposition, Rane said, 'No language is being made compulsory. Students can opt for Sanskrit as the third language if they wish'. The BJP leader claimed he never heard lyricist Javed Akhtar, actor Aamir Khan, or Congress leader Rahul Gandhi speaking in the Marathi language. The Shiv Sena (UBT) and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) have announced to organise a joint march against the 'imposition' of Hindi in schools on July 5. 'Why not hold rallies in areas like Behrampada or Mohammad Ali Road? These are the places where Hindi is spoken. The day 'azaan' (Islamic call for prayer) is delivered in Marathi, we will know there is true respect for the language,' he told reporters. Who is Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, Amritsar North MLA suspended by AAP for 5 years
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has suspended its Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Amritsar North, Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, for five years over his alleged involvement in anti-party activities, reported PTI. The move comes just days after Singh criticised the arrest of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia and the way the Vigilance Bureau raided his residence. In April 2007, Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh became Amritsar's Senior Superintendent of Police and served in that position till October 2009. (File) According to party sources, the decision to suspend Singh was taken by the party's political affairs committee, who added that there is no place in the party for those who try to hinder its campaign against drugs, the PTI report said. Originally from Bihar's Gopalganj district, Singh has had several feathers in his cap. In April 2007, Singh became Amritsar's Senior Superintendent of Police and served in that position till October 2009. He became Deputy Inspector General of Police in April 2015 and Inspector General of Police in April 2019. In 2021, Singh resigned from his IPS job and entered politics. He joined the Aam Aadmi Party and in 2022, Singh won from Amritsar North constituency and became part of the Punjab's state assembly. He defeated Congress' sitting MLA Sunil Datti. Singh has earned Masters of Arts in Sanskrit from Patna University and in Political Science from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). He did his PhD in Police Administration from Amritsar's Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) and has also done bachelors in law (LLB) from Punjab University, followed by an MBA from IGNOU. Most recently, Singh earned a diploma in French language from GNDU. According to Singh's website, he is also an Advocate with the Punjab and Haryana high court. Singh was the chief of the Special Investigation Team formed to investigate the firing incidents in Kotkapura and Behbal Kalan in 2015, which originated from the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The report filed by Singh in the Haryana and Punjab high court shook the state government at the time headed by Captain Amarinder Singh. However, the report was rejected by the high court which called it politically motivated. Singh' wife, Madhumita, passed away last year and he has two daughters. What did Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh say? On June 25, Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh shared a video of the Vigilance Bureau's raid on Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia's house. In the video, Majithia's wife Ganieve Kaur, who is the SAD MLA from Majitha constituency, is seen protesting the highhandedness of the bureau officials for barging into her house. Sharing the video, Singh wrote, 'When Majithia ji was in jail in 2022, the Bhagwant Mann-led government neither conducted any interrogation nor sought his remand and eventually allowed him bail.' 'The dignity of a family is shared by all — whether one is a politician, actor, rich or poor, friend or foe. Conducting a raid at someone's house early in the morning is against ethical principles. Almost every government has misused the police and vigilance agencies for its own benefit, but the outcome has never been significant,' he added. 'I may have political disagreements or ideological differences with someone, but when it comes to principles, religion, and integrity — it becomes necessary to speak out. When Majithia Sahib was in jail in a case registered during the Congress government, the Mann government did not seek any remand or conduct any questioning. Later, the state apparatus under Mann sahib even facilitated his bail.' 'The Punjab and Haryana high court granted bail (to Majithia) on grounds that if the police don't require someone for interrogation, keeping them in custody is against the law. My point is that when he was in custody, the government enabled his bail, and now suddenly, notices are being issued to him, raids are being conducted at his house, and the dignity of his wife is being violated. It is important to mention here that I have an ideological disagreement with Majithia sahib — and that remains. But this is a matter of ethics and integrity.'
