Every General Hospital 2025 Nurses Ball Performance Ranked

Yahoo30-05-2025
General Hospital's Nurses Ball may have been missing a few things this year — like some beloved characters and a half-naked Lucy — but what it had plenty of was memorable performances! Here is every 2025 Nurses Ball performance, ranked.
Let's start off with an honorable mention: Anna (Finola Hughes) and Chase's (Josh Swickard) Tango… that didn't happen. The PCPD pair were supposed to dance, accompanied by Gio (Giovanni Mazza), but the real entertainment happened when Gio's violin came to an abrupt stop and he made the big reveal that Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) are his parents.
There may be no opening act that could top the famous 'Welcome to the Nurses Ball,' so watching beloved nurses like Amy (Risa Dorken), Deanna (Dioni Michelle Collins), and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) sing fell a bit short. The only thing that saved this act was Isaiah's portrayer Sawandi Wilson whacking out his lesser-known breakdancing talent on-screen.
Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Trina (Tabyana Ali) have performed at Nurses Balls past, and this year, the best friends joined together for a powerful duet. Singing 'I'll Be With You,' the girls took turns singing lines, and we viewers couldn't help but be reminded of who they've both thought lost. While it wasn't the most exciting performance of the ball, Joss was certainly singing to Dex (Evan Hofer) and Trina was certainly singing to Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez, who you can catch doing a live performance of his own this summer).
From Rick Springfield (Noah) to ___, GH Nurses Balls have been known for their special guests. This year, it was Australian singer YDE, who performed her original 'Old Her.'
We all remember the closing act song 'You're Not Alone,' but this year, the ball had a different idea for the finale. To close out the show, Port Charles' next generation took to the stage with 'I'll Be There.' Although it wasn't until after Donna (Scarlett Spears), Wiley (Viron Weaver), Georgie (Lily Fisher), Scout (Cosette Abinante), and James (Gary James Fuller) sang that things really took a shocking turn.
Reminiscent of the classic 1995 'Midnight Train to Georgia' performance from Mary Mae (Rosalind Cash) and her 'pips,' Lucky (Jonathan Jackson), Luke (Anthony Geary), and Justus (Joseph C. Phillips), Chase bringing his singer side back for the ball somehow wasn't the most unexpected part of this act. The surprise came when Isaiah, Cody (Josh Kelly), and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) joined in as his backup singers and dancers. Dante's Nurses Ball debut certainly outshined the other men, if you ask us.
The hit song, the theming, and the ensemble of GH vets made this a classic Nurses Ball performance any long-time viewer loved to see. While it was originally supposed to be led by Tracy (Jane Elliot), due to her arrest, Anna, Lucy (Lynn Herring), and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) snagged a last-minute replacement who is no stranger to the stage: Spinelli (Bradford Anderson). Anderson has always been known as the one who performs his songs live instead of recording them prior, and his talents once again shone in Port Charles as he sang 'Boots Are Made For Walkin'.' If only he referred to them as the regrettably pink boots!
From the moment we found out about this year's Nurses Ball, we knew the real-life violinist would bring his talents to the NB stage. Gio performed 'Glow,' going from classical to downright rave-like when he hit the stage with his instrument, wowing the people of Port Charles and all of us at home.

Eileen Davidson leads Daytime Emmy predictions for Best Drama Actress, but watch out for Nancy Lee Grahn

The Daytime Emmys race for Best Drama Actress is shaping up to be a battle between Eileen Davidson (The Young and the Restless) and Nancy Lee Grahn (General Hospital). According to Gold Derby's predictions, the former is currently out front with a 54 percent chance of winning, while the latter is in the runner-up position with 21 percent. Davidson has played Ashley Abbott, a successful chemist and businesswoman who consistently navigates family drama, on and off since since her The Young and the Restless debut in 1982. During the eligible 2024 season, Ashley experienced Dissociative Identity Disorder and splintered into several different personalities, including Ash, Mrs. Abbott, and Belle. To date, Davidson has won two Daytime Emmys for Best Drama Actress, in 2014 for Days of Our Lives and in 2018 for The Young and the Restless. More from Gold Derby 2025 Emmys: These are the episodes every Best Comedy Actor nominee submitted Paul Mescal and Josh O'Connor in 'The History of Sound' trailer: Everything to know about Oliver Hermanus' queer romance Grahn's Alexis Davis has been a constant presence since 1996, and the actress is one of General Hospital's longest-running cast members. Alexis is the daughter of a Greco-Russian prince and a Swedish opera singer, and she continues to connect with audiences by being a successful lawyer and mother. Last year, Alexis experienced a tragic loss when her daughter, Sam (Kelly Monaco), was killed off the show due to complications from a liver transplant. Grahn was previously recognized with two awards for Best Drama Supporting Actress, in 1989 for Santa Barbara and in 2012 for General Hospital. Fun fact: this marks the third time that Davidson and Grahn have faced off in Best Drama Actress at the Daytime Emmys. They both lost to Susan Flannery (The Bold and the Beautiful) in 2003, while Davidson prevailed in 2018. Who will win this year? Let's look at the Gold Derby data: Best Drama Actress Contender Odds 1. Eileen Davidson The Young and the Restless 54.1% 2. Nancy Lee Grahn General Hospital 20.8% 3. Sharon Case The Young and the Restless 10.8% 4. Michelle Stafford The Young and the Restless 6.5% 5. Laura Wright General Hospital 4.8% 6. Melissa Claire Egan The Young and the Restless 3.0% In third place is Sharon Case (Sharon Newman on The Young and the Restless) with an 11 percent chance of winning. This would be her first lead victory after taking home a supporting trophy in 1999. Then there's Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers on The Young and the Restless) at 7 percent. She's already a three-time champion for this role, for supporting in 1997 and for lead in 2004 and 2024. Coming in fourth place with a 5 percent chance is Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos on General Hospital). She previously won the statuette in this category in 2011. Finally, there's Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson on The Young and the Restless) at 3 percent. She's the only Best Drama Actress nominee this year who hasn't yet won a prize of her own. The 2025 Daytime Emmys take place on Oct. 17. In the meantime, here's what our users are saying in the forums: 'I'm never predicting Grahn or Bergman again! I understand why Grahn lost in 2017 (long reel that felt disjointed) but she should have won in 2018, 2021 & 2022 (supporting) based on submitted reels and still lost. They clearly love her because she gets nominated almost everytime she submits. But they obviously feel she's been rewarded enough and feel no need to reward her again no matter how good her reel is. Same for Bergman. He gets nominated all the time but hasn't won in more than 20 years. Every few years, pundits say his reel is the best in the category and this is the year he's finally gonna win again and he still loses.' The Netflix ‘Untamed' Ending Explained: Who Killed Who, And Why?

Untamed I enjoyed my recent time with Untamed, the Eric Bana-starring murder mystery set in Yellowstone National Park. We're meant to figure out who killed a girl who plummets off a mountain, which is seemingly not a suicide, and things…escalate from there. Spoilers are going to follow here for Untamed, which should be fairly obvious if you clicked on an article about the ending. So, we're going to sort through who killed who in the end, and why. Sure, the show spells it out but hey, if you're watching while on your phone or want a deeper dive, here we are. Paul Souter (the local ranger chief) killed Lucy Cook, kind of – We learn at the very, very end that Lucy was actually Souter's secret daughter, whom he gave away to foster care when she was young. She hated him for that and came back to blackmail him lest she tell his wife what happened. Finally, he tries to 'talk to her' and stop her from running after she feels threatened, so he shoots her in the leg. Who among us has not shot someone in the leg to prevent them from running with no real ill intent? But after that, she continues her escape, where she is soon attacked by coyotes, compounding her injuries. She's seemingly about to die from blood loss anyway, so she does in fact fall off the cliff voluntarily. But yes, we're going to put this on Souter, who then kills himself rather than deal with the consequences of all this. The drug gang killed the bait shop kid and the squatter – These two deaths were the hidden drug gang in the mines attempting to clean up loose ends that could lead back to their business. Even though Lucy was one of their runners, they did not kill her. However, there's a somewhat bizarre moment where a bunch of runners are found dead, seemingly from suicide (debatable). Bullseye Jill (Kyle's ex-wife) and Shane (local wildlife culler) cooperatively killed Sean Sanderson – This is a man who has been missing in the park for five years, where Kyle (Eric Bana) discovered that he abducted and killed his son Caleb, as seen on Shane's wildlife cameras. Kyle wanted him arrested and prosecuted, but Jill went to Shane and agreed they should just kill him. Shane did, though we don't know what they did with the body. It was never found. Kyle found out what happened, but all three never said anything to anyone. Naya (deputy ranger) killed Shane who was trying to kill Kyle – I mean, this one was pretty obvious. The finale of the tumultuous relationship between Kyle and Shane has the two trading gunshots in the woods once Kyle figures out he was involved with the drug trade and Lucy (though later we find out he had nothing to do with her death). I'm guessing Shane just figured Kyle was finally trying to kill him over the Sanderson assassination to bury that forever and have him stop holding it over his head for years. In the end, it's just Kyle and Jill with the Sanderson secret, though Kyle admits culpability in leading a compromised search for him five years earlier to a wrongful death investigator. I'm not exactly sure why he did that or what the end result is supposed to be after he leaves the park. In the end, Kyle didn't kill anyone except well, a good amount of drug dealers during the raid. It's complicated. The two red herrings for Lucy over the six episodes were the drug gang and Shane. I was honestly a little surprised Shane turned out to be bad at all, as that almost seemed too obvious, but I guess it wasn't in the way we thought. As for the morality of the assassination of Sanderson, I guess that's for audiences to debate. Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, Bluesky and Instagram.
