Samsung might be discontinuing the Plus version of the. Instead of it, the company might release theEdge alongside the base Samsung Galaxy S26 and the top-tier flagship. That would be the biggest change to the company's flagship lineup in years.GSMA database listings, spotted by SammyPolice, currently show three model numbers for upcoming Samsung devices, but they don't align with the usual ones. Instead of representing the familiar trio, the newly leaked number suggests that theSeries will replace the Plus model with an Edge model, but that's not all. Here are the newly leaked models and their model numbers:Every year, Samsung's model numbers end with specific digits, representing the different models. So, the regular model would end with 1, the Plus with 6, and the Ultra with 8. This year's Galaxy S25 Edge had a number ending with 7.Precisely this history makes the new listings even more intriguing. Not only might Samsung switch the Plus for an Edge, but there might also be a significant change to the vanillaWhile changing the model number from one that ends with a 1 to one that ends with a 2 doesn't look significant, it could mean that the basemodel may receive a slight improvement. A combination of a slightly bigger screen and a meaningful battery bump might be seen by Samsung as a sufficient reason to change the model number.Discontinuing the Plus model from the flagship lineup sounds like a deja vu to me. Apple is also expected to ditch the Plus model and introduce the super-slim iPhone 17 Air this year. However, I wouldn't jump to conclusions because of this information. Samsung still has time to add a model number for thePlus to the database, and theEdge might be in development and be released later.Part of my doubt about such a radical change is the reports that the's sales aren't going great. Unless something has radically changed, chances are that the age of super-slim flagship phones will be over as quickly as it started.

The world's largest music streaming service is getting more expensive for hundreds of millions

Will Spotify raise fees even higher in 2026? Yes, no doubt about it. Maybe it'll stay the same. I expect no further price hikes! Yes, no doubt about it. 0% Maybe it'll stay the same. 0% I expect no further price hikes! 0% Receive the latest Apps news By subscribing you agree to our terms and conditions and privacy policy How about US users? On today's edition of "What's getting more expensive?" we have Spotify: the beloved music streaming platform has some news that'll wipe the smiles from millions of users' faces. Of course, it's a price hike in subscription fees we're talking about. Reuters has it that Spotify has announced its plans to raise the monthly cost of its premium individual plan – what many opt for – in several regions. The changes are set to kick off in September, which is now in less than a price will go up from €10.99 to €11.99 (approximately $13.88 when directly converted), affecting subscribers across South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific. The move is part of the company's broader effort to improve its profit margins, which is something we've been hearing for the past several years way too will receive emails in the coming weeks outlining the details of the price change, but if you're living in the aforementioned regions and you fancy Spotify, be prepared to pay analyses claim that Spotify is the most popular app when it comes to music streaming – and this will probably be true for 2026 as well – but how long before people get sick and tired of having to pay more and more?It seems that Spotify's latest price increases won't affect users in the United States – at least not yet. While standard plans remain unchanged for American subscribers, the company is reportedly working on a new, more expensive subscription tier aimed at the US market, as we told you. This upcoming option, sometimes referred to as a "super-premium" plan, is expected to go beyond the current Premium offering and may launch in the near Spotify hasn't formally announced the plan, early details have surfaced through app code and insider reports. The new tier could cost around $6 more than the standard Premium subscription and may include added features such as high-fidelity audio, which has long been requested by users. There is also speculation that it might include early or exclusive access to certain new music if I were on the "regular" premium plan, I'd be really frustrated if a "super-premium" plan popped up. What's next – "super-premium Pro Max"? "Super-premium Ultra"? Corporations can be really imaginative at times.

These are the Galaxy Z Flip 8 features we think you'll love

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is still on the drawing board somewhere inside Samsung's skunkworks department, but now's the time to focus on what features this next-gen flip phone would need in order to be competitive and succeed. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is out, and even though Samsung brought some upgrades to the table, we feel more needs to be done to make the Z Flip line "the best flip phone" on the market. So, let's talk about the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and cross our fingers that Samsung will be reading this at some point through the Z Flip 8 you feel that flip phone innovation moves at a snail's pace? Well, I feel you! But all's not lost, there are a couple of features that if done right, could turn the Galaxy Z Flip 8 into the real deal! The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is still about 14 mm thick when folded | Image by PhoneArena When it comes to foldables, thickness is very important. After all, when you fold the phone in half, it doubles the thickness. This year Samsung has upped its game with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, making it the thinnest foldable out even though this title has been disputed as we type this (Honor claims that the Magic V5 is thinner), there's no doubt that Samsung has done a great job with the Z Fold 7 . Not so much with the Z Flip 7 —the device is still 6.5 mm unfolded and 13.7 mm folded. Imagine if the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is able to bring the sub-10 mm thickness to flip phones. It will be an absolute game their current state, flip phones are not very comfortable when folded, offering a strange, thick, rectangular look and feel. Even competitors such as the Motorola Razr Ultra (2025) are struggling to offer a really thin flip of competitors and Motorola in particular… 120W fast charging flip phones might be coming and Samsung needs to take notes | Image by PhoneArena Where's my fast charging, Samsung? I've been waiting for years, and all I keep getting is the measly 25W wired charging that I dare not to even call fast. The aforementioned Razr Ultra has 60W wired charging support and fills its big 4,700 mAh battery in just 43 minutes! In comparison, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 takes 95 minutes for a full charge, more than twice as long. I understand that Samsung is playing the safe game, ever since the Note 7 fiasco (exploding batteries, if you've forgotten), but it's time to move on or fall behind. The Oppo N5 Flip is coming, and rumor has it that the next-gen flip phone will sport 120W wired charging support. Couple this to the extreme thinness expected (comparable to the book-style Oppo N5), and the Galaxy Z Flip 8 might be in trouble. The Razr Ultra's cover screen is still more usable and intuitive than the one on the Galaxy Z Flip 7 | Image by PhoneArena Samsung has been playing the catch-up game when it comes to the cover screen of the Z Flip series since the first iteration of the phone. Motorola has been doing a better job consistently, and even though the latest Galaxy Z Flip 7 sports an edge-to-edge cover screen, it's still lacking in still need to tweak the OneUI settings to allow apps on the cover screen, and if you want Instagram and Facebook running on the cover screen, you need to install Good Lock and configure Multistar to get third-party apps working, and it takes time and Motorola Razr Ultra, on the other hand, got the cover screen right a couple of generations ago. You can run almost any app on the cover screen and also configure it without the need to open the for a clamshell foldable, that's pure gold. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 has to up its game in the cover screen department; otherwise, it'd still feel inferior to the competition, big cover screen or not. Stick with Snapdragon, Samsung! | Image by Qualcomm No offense to Samsung for trying to peddle its own in-house silicon, but the Snapdragon is still much better in almost every only does it destroy the Exynos in synthetic benchmarks, but it also comes with better radios and also better AI hardware. It's more energy efficient, which is paramount when we're talking about phones with two to convert this technical talk into more real-life experience, a Snapdragon-equipped Galaxy Z Flip 8 will offer a faster and smoother day-to-day ride, while also extending the battery life and giving you the most up-to-date AI features. I'm not sure why Samsung decided to segregate the Z series, slapping the Snapdragon 8 Elite inside the Z Fold 7 but opting for the Exynos 2400 in the Z Flip 7 . But I prefer the Qualcomm silicon, and so do most of the people, according to our numerous polls and surveys. Just push to open this Sharp Aquos Keitai phone | Image by DoCoMo Okay, bear with me here! I know this may sound crazy, but the biggest gripe most of the people I know have with all kinds of folding phones is the sheer process of folding and traditional flip phones were the rage in Japan, many brands, including Fujitsu, Toshiba, Sharp, and Kyocera, equipped their flip phones with a button on the hinge that flipped the phone was not only one of the coolest things to experience but also very convenient, as people were able to use the phone with one hand.I know that with flexible screens the mechanism will have to be pretty complicated in order not to damage the display, but we're living in 2025, and it's Samsung we're talking about—a brand that wasn't afraid to innovate back in the the Galaxy Zoom, or the first Note Edge? So, if Samsung equips the Galaxy Z Flip 8 with some kind of motorized or automatic hinge to open the phone with the touch of a button, it will be an instant win!So, while this feature is not a must-have, and falls into the 'cool' category, for me it will make the Galaxy Z Flip 8 stand out. Samsung needs to up its game with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 | Image by PhoneArena" So, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 has to be this super-thin and powerful next-gen flip phone that has a cover screen mimicking the main display and a button to James Bond-open the phone, right?Sounds a bit like science fiction, especially with the rate of innovation we've been seeing of late from Samsung and one has to dream! What do you think of our wish list? Share the features you want to see on the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and vote in our poll for the most important one!

It can monitor your energy reserves and provide training plans that adapt to top of that, it can track your sleep and offer guidance on how to improve the quality of your rest. And since this is the Music edition, you can download up to 500 songs from Amazon Music and Spotify directly onto your me, a dealbreaker would be the lack of a touchscreen display, as it makes navigating through menus a tad bit harder. However, I also can't deny how awesome it sounds that the watch has a battery life of up to 14 days in smartwatch if I were in the market for a feature-rich Garmin smartwatch, I'd probably be really tempted to grab this bad boy, even though I would have to use the buttons to navigate through the menus.
