LA Sparks center Cameron Brink talks about her knee injury and WNBA stardom on an upcoming episode of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.
Los Angeles center Cameron Brink was an absolute delight during a recent appearance on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.
Brink, who is in her sophomore season in the WNBA, showed off her game show chops during the long-time game show, and she was fantastic. She brought her megawatt smile, her wit, and her charm to the stage. The former Stanford Cardinal also revealed something that not many people know in this new clip.

During her awful injury in June of 2024, when she tore the ACL ligament in her left knee, she also had more extensive damage. "I was a the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut ― a casino, very lucky," she told host Pat Sajak. "Tore my ACL, tore my meniscus as well, but it's all surgically repaired now. So, I'm good. It's just going to take me a couple months to be back."
While that news may seem shocking (it was previously unreported), Brink seemed to be in good spirits and even rattled off a joke when Sajak asked about being drafted at No. 2 overall.
"Yep. Second. Who knows how? Oh my gosh," Brink said, chuckling.
It's unclear when Brink will return to the court as she continues to rehab her knee, but she's taking it all in stride. Never change, Cameron Brink. Never change.

Sabrina Ionescu drops season-high 36 points in Emma Meesseman's debut as Liberty beat Sun to snap 4-game losing streak

Emma Meesseman was rusty to start on Sunday in her first WNBA game since 2022. But it didn't matter for the New York Liberty, who rolled to an 87-78 win over the Connecticut Sun to snap a four-game losing streak. Sabrina Ionescu paced the win with a sizzling effort that produced 16 points in the first quarter and 20 by the break. She finished with a season-high 36 points, 11 rebounds and four assists for her fifth 30-plus point game of the season. Jonquel Jones added 21 points, nine rebounds four assists and two steals. The Liberty played a fourth-straight game without injured All-Star Breanna Stewart. Meesseman starts slow, finds pace after halftime The focus Sunday started on two-time All-Star and former Finals MVP Emma Meesseman, who played in her first WNBA game since 2022. Meesseman had since played overseas before signing with the Liberty on July 21, a transaction that further bolstered a star-laden roster seeking to secure the team's second straight WNBA championship. Meesseman sat New York's first six games since joining the team as the Liberty stumbled to a 2-4 start out of the All-Star break. But she was in the starting lineup Sunday as New York looked to snap its skid against a five-win Sun team with the worst record in the league. The Liberty immediately got Meesseman involved with a look inside on their first possession. But she missed a layup on the game's first field-goal attempt, then missed a floater in the lane moments later en route to a scoreless first half without another field-goal attempt. But Meesseman found her rhythm after halftime with an and-1 layup and made free throw for her first WNBA points since 2022 that extended New York's lead to 52-43. She finished with 11 points and three assists while shooting 3 of 7 from the field in 17 minutes. It added up to an encouraging start to her Liberty career as New York looks to re-establish itself as a championship favorite. This story will be updated.

It's been almost a year since Matthew Perry passed away, but his memory remains alive, thanks to the many people who knew and worked with him. We're also learning more about him, and his "Friends" co-star, David Schwimmer, just received a major revelation. More than two decades after the conclusion of the hit sitcom, Schwimmer just learned what Perry really thought of his acting, and it's quite heartwarming. David Schwimmer was a guest on the "Origins With Cush Jumbo" podcast, where he opened up to the "Criminal Record" star about his upbringing, career and much more. When talk turned to Matthew Perry, Jumbo recalled working with him on "The Good Fight," during which the two talked about Schwimmer and physical comedy. Per Jumbo, Perry had some serious praise for his former co-star when it comes to acting and comedy: Solve the daily Crossword

WNBA-to-Boston celebrations premature? League pushes back on CT Sun move after Pagliuca deal

Fans celebrating the arrival of the WNBA to the City of Boston might want to temper their expectations in the short term. Recent reporting from the Boston Globe's Gary Washburn relates that the WNBA itself is throwing cold water on ta potential move of the recently-purchased Connecticut Sun to a new location. Former Boston Celtics minority owner and Bain Capital executive Steve Pagliuca recently purchased the team for a record $325 million, with another $100 million earmarked to build a dedicated practice facility for the team in Boston. But per Washburn, after news of the sale broke this week, the league sent the reporter a release pushing back on a potential move out of the Nutmeg state. "Relocation decisions are made by the WNBA Board of Governors and not by individual teams," related the WNBA to Washburn, also noting that "no groups from Boston applied for a team." This could put a bit of a damper on things, given Pagliuca would be one of the first names for an expansion team in the area, yet the former Celtics owner now finds himself the new owner (pending league approval) of a team the WNBA appears determined to keep in Connecticut. "Nine additional cities also applied for WNBA teams and remain under active consideration. Those other cities remain under consideration based on the extensive work they did as part of the expansion process and currently have priority over Boston," added the league. This course of action may have actually put the city behind the proverbial eight ball, as the WNBA may be looking to avoid following in the footsteps of the NBA with the highly unpopular move of the Seattle SuperSonics to Oklahoma City in the aughts. Interestingly, the release tendered to Washburn also notes that a "prospective Celtics owner has also reached out to the league office and asked that Boston receive strong consideration for a WNBA franchise at the appropriate time." Does this mean the ownership group helmed by Bill Chisholm currently in the process of securing final NBA approval to buy the Boston-based NBA ball club is also the leading group to secure a WNBA team in the same city? At present, details on all of the above are murky, but will likely continue to develop in the coming weeks. Listen to "Havlicek Stole the Pod" on: Spotify: iTunes: YouTube:
