Kajol Kept Laughing During Shilpa Shetty's Death Scene In Baazigar: 'Itna Nail Polish Kaun Lagata Hai?'

News183 days ago
Kajol recalls laughing during a serious Baazigar scene because of Shilpa Shetty's feet and nail polish, says Abbas-Mustan had to scold her to stay in character.
Kajol recently looked back on a moment from the sets of Baazigar that still makes her laugh. The 1993 thriller might be remembered for its dramatic scenes, but for Kajol, one emotional sequence turned unexpectedly funny—thanks to her co-star Shilpa Shetty's feet.
In a conversation with The Lallantop, Kajol recalled how she ended up laughing uncontrollably during a scene where Shilpa was playing a dead body. 'Bechari Shilpa ke saath huya. It was the dead body sequence, and for some reason, I just couldn't stop laughing at her feet. I looked at them and thought, 'Who applies this much nail polish while dying?' I was laughing uncontrollably just looking at her feet."
Despite the seriousness of the scene, Kajol couldn't pull herself together. 'I kept laughing, 'Oh my god this is so funny, Shilpa's feet and nail polish'. Aur Abbas bhai said, 'Baby no, listen, you have to give shot right now and cry.' But I couldn't control myself. Toh Abbas bhai ne fir daanta mujhe uss time ki 'Stop it. Imagine if it was your real sister, then would you be laughing like this? Toh ekdum flip hogaya mera fir mood."
The director's words helped Kajol switch gears emotionally, but the memory clearly stayed with her—and fans now know what was going on behind the scenes of one of Baazigar's most emotional moments.
On the work front, Kajol's upcoming project is Sarzameen, produced by Karan Johar and directed by Kayoze Irani, son of Boman Irani. The film, which also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Ibrahim Ali Khan in key roles, is set to premiere on Jio Hotstar on July 25.
About Baazigar
Baazigar (1993) is one of the defining thrillers of 90s Bollywood, marking a major turning point in the careers of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Directed by the popular duo Abbas-Mustan, the film stood out for its bold storyline where the lead actor played an anti-hero—a rare move in mainstream Hindi cinema at the time. Loosely inspired by the Hollywood film A Kiss Before Dying, Baazigar follows a young man out for revenge, stopping at nothing to get justice for his family. With chart-topping music, gripping twists, and powerful performances, Baazigar became a massive box office success and is still remembered for iconic lines like 'Kabhi kabhi kuch jeetne ke liye kuch haarna padta hai."

Ronit Roy Thinks His Son Agastya Is Too ‘Bhola' For This World

Ronit Roy talked about his children's aspirations in life and that he wants the best for them. Ronit Roy needs no introduction. Whether it is television shows or Bollywood, the actor has undoubtedly carved a niche for himself in the entertainment industry with hit shows and movies. But besides his professional works, he is a doting father to his children, Aador and Agastya. His social media posts often show the lovely bond they share. Now, as the two have grown up, one question echoes through the minds of many — will the two follow in their father's footsteps and enter showbiz? Speaking candidly about his children's future in Bollywood, the actor has finally addressed how he plans to support them in their journey to adulthood. In a podcast with Hindi Rush, he talked about his children's aspirations in life and that he wants the best for them. He said, 'I'm going to be very straightforward about this. An actor's son naturally wants to become an actor. My daughter Aador is currently studying at USC, and that's why she is less in the public eye, and Agasthya is here. I've never told them what they should do with their career or life. I keep telling them that I've only two projects in my life, and that's them." He further elaborated, saying that even though parents want the best for their child, they can't control everything. 'As a father, there's not much you can do or control. I haven't written their destiny, and all a father can do is support their children in their journey and nurture them throughout. Agasthya is a solid kid, and he's very determined about the targets he sets for himself," the actor stated. He went on to say that Agasytha tends to take everything at face value, just like him. Ronit added, 'I'm not saying this because he is my son, but he is too bhola (innocent) for this world. He is like me in certain ways and tends to take things at face value. He doesn't doubt people or their intentions. We both like films and martial arts, and I want him to have a strong mentality like a fighter while keeping his innocence intact." The actor concluded by saying, 'Once his son has achieved that mentality, he is free to study, learn from, and assist people in the industry. He should know what he is getting into and can experience it firsthand." Ronit Roy and Neelam Singh fell in love at first sight. The two dated each other for three and a half years and finally decided to get married in December 2003. The couple are now proud parents to their children, Aador and Agastya. On the work front, Ronit was most recently making waves with his role as King Someshwar in Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. As a ruler torn between his duties and fatherhood, the show brought emotional weight to the story with Ronit's character. But due to a turn of events, his character has bid farewell to the show. Brooklyn Beckham Unfollows Brothers Romeo, Cruz Amid Growing Family Rift

Last Updated: Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz reportedly unfollowed Romeo and Cruz after they were blocked by the brother duo. Seems like the rift among the Beckhams is far from over. For quite some time, there have been rumours that Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have been keeping a distance from David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, and Brooklyn's siblings, Romeo, Cruz and Harper. The 26-year-old aspiring chef and style icon reportedly doesn't want to stay in touch with his family anymore. Now, his latest social media interest has once again intensified the speculations of their feud. As reported by Page Six, both Brooklyn and his wife have unfollowed his brothers, Romeo and Cruz, on Instagram. However, the couple still follows Brooklyn's parents. A source told the outlet that 'Brooklyn and Nicola didn't purposely unfollow the siblings" and suggested that there was a possibility that the couple was blocked by his brothers first. Brooklyn and Nicola, as per the insider, found out about Romeo and Cruz's social media 'diss" through the media. Their social media move came after Brooklyn shared a birthday post for his 14-year-old sister Harper on July 10. The picture that the 26-year-old used was a family photograph that was taken during their appearance at Victoria Beckham's Paris Fashion Week show last September. Brooklyn was seen posing with his baby sister and his wife in the picture. He wrote, 'Happy birthday Harper, we love u x." Another source told the aforementioned outlet that Brooklyn 'wants no contact" with his family. The insider mentioned, 'Brooklyn told his family he wants no contact and he's not responding to those that try to connect." The rift in the Beckham family is due to a fallout between Brooklyn and Romeo after his 22-year-old brother started dating his ex-girlfriend Kim Turnball. That relationship has since ended, but the tension has not eased between the brothers. Brooklyn was also upset that his parents supported Romeo's relationship and included her in major family events. Moreover, Brooklyn's brother, Cruz, has been openly critical about the couple and even shaded Nicola at times, which further added fuel to the fire. Amid the drama, Brooklyn showed his loyalty towards his wife Nicola with a special tattoo. In a picture shared on Instagram, he revealed his new ink, which was a copy of a sweet note Nicola wrote to him before they got married in April 2022. The text read, 'My forever boy. Read this anytime you feel anxious. I want you to know how deeply loved you are. You have the kindest heart I've ever met and hope I never go a day without your love. I think you are so incredible. Just know we can get through it all together if you breathe slowly and trust. I love you beyond. Love always, your future wifey."
