Katherine Ryan's 'awful' outfit that 'ruined aesthetic' of Mel B's wedding

The comedian is regretting her choice of outfit for the Spice Girl's wedding last week.
Mel B got married last week in a star-studded ceremony in London. But guest Katherine Ryan has since expressed some regrets at her choice of outfit.
Mel, 50, married her partner Rory McPhee, 37, at St Paul's Cathedral on Saturday, July 5. Katherine and her husband Bobby Kootstra were among the guests at the all-stars event.

Katherine shared on the latest episode of her podcast, Telling Everybody Everything, released yesterday, that she was "so touched" to be invited, particularly as a Spice Girls fan, reports the Mirror.

She however told listeners: "I looked like s*** at Mel B's wedding, everybody knows it!" Katherine went on to discuss her outfit, including revealing that she had to get creative when it came to the headpiece that she wore.
Katherine, who previously announced that she's pregnant, said that she didn't know how "big" she would be so had decided to get a "flowy" dress.
Describing her chosen blue dress, she said: "It almost looks like bed linen. It's very dreamy."
The pregnant mother of three said it was "so difficult" to get ready at home with her children around, explaining, "I don't have the thinnest arms for it. I'm too pale for it."
She told listeners: "It was awful - no offence to the designer!"

She also said: "I put my hair down, which was absolutely the wrong way to do it." Katherine then shared that she had previously shaved the back of her neck because of her "low" hairline, adding: "I can't put my hair up right now because I've chosen to grow this like neck out and it ruined the look."
The dress code for the ceremony included hats and fascinators for women, Katherine explained.
Adhering to the invitation, she recalled that she had ordered a "beautiful" fascinator ahead of the special occasion last week.

But she "panicked last minute" that it wasn't the right shade of blue to match her dress. She told fans that she had to craft a flower into a headline instead, saying: "I ended up chopping an orchid from my kitchen and sticking that in my head."
Discussing her look, she said: "It was giving ugly step-sister. Like I truly s*** the bed on the look."

Further sharing her thoughts, Katherine teased that she now feels like she "ruined the aesthetic" of the wedding.
Katherine said that her husband Bobby, who opted for a cream suit, "didn't like his look" either. She said on the latest episode of her podcast: "I don't think we've ever looked worse ... on like the most important day of someone's life."
Whilst talking about the wedding, Katherine shared her surprise over the guestlist.
She said: "Everyone there was like a close personal friend, or family member, or Northern. Y'know someone she really knew. [...] It had a real grassroots like true friendship and family vibe. It was a lovely, lovely wedding."

Peter Andre reveals strict rule that made Princess and Junior 'kick off'e

Peter Andre has opened up about the no-phone rule that initially left his children, Princess and Junior, 'rolling their eyes'. The 52-year-old TV personality is a father to Junior, 20, Princess, 18, Amelia, 11 with former wife Katie Price and Theo, eight, and Arabella, who is 15 months old, with GP Emily Andre. He recently attended a parliamentary screening – hosted by Lord John Nash and Joe Powell MP – of Fabio D'Andrea's film Another Way, in which he plays the dad to a teenage boy called Josh who attempts to take his own life after being bullied. The movie aims to raise awareness about the dangers of smartphone use among teenagers and has inspired Andre to implement some of the lessons in his own household. Speaking to The Sun at the screening, the Mysterious Girl hitmaker explained that he had now banned phones at the dinner table for his two eldest children. 'It's really interesting about my oldest two having been quite popular on social media [Princess has 758k followers and Junior has 530k on Instagram]. 'And I remember that when social media first started, we had no clue. It just looked like a bit of fun. 'It was again that nice little imagery of this really fun thing, being on your phone and you could play games and you could do all this,' he said about the evolution of the phone. Instead, he said it 'lures you in' and has now become his kids' job, focusing around interactions, followers and brands. After telling his daughter there are 'no phones and no TVs' at dinner, he said: 'At first they rolled their eyes, they kicked off. That lasted all of two days. They never said anything since.' He advocated for the 'little things' parents can do to place boundaries around phone use in the home because 'everyone kicks off about it, but eventually they do it'. Elsewhere, during a discussion about the emotional movie which portrays stark scenes of teenage suicide, the I'm A Celebrity star admitted he felt 'very out of [his] depth' when it comes to protecting his children from their phones. Reflecting on the hypocrisy of his own phone usage and urging parliament to help stem the crisis as well, he shared: 'You can't have a phone or just tell your kids, it's not that easy. We need backup. We need the government's help. We need the schools' help.' The award-winning composer D'Andrea is pushing to ban social media before the age of 16 through an amendment to the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill. 'Social media apps have become breeding grounds for propaganda, false narratives, and online abuse,' the filmmaker said in a statement. D'Andrea is known for his work with high-profile figures to raise awareness about pressing social issues. In the past, he has collaborated with Spice Girls star Mel B on a movie about domestic abuse, Love Should Not Hurt, and mental health with actor Russell Tovey, Something Left To Love – to name a few. More Trending The issue around teenage mental health, violence against women, and the harmful repercussions of unchecked online activity were explored in Netflix's smash hit show Adolescence. The four-episode show, starring Stephen Graham and Owen Cooper, follows a 13-year-old boy accused of the murder of a female classmate as we uncover exactly what drove him to commit this violent crime, and the impact on him and his family. View More » Prime Minister Keir Starmer backed an initiative to make the show freely available to secondary school students in the UK in hopes of 'openly talking about changes in how they communicate, the content they're seeing, and exploring the conversations they're having with their peers'. Netflix fans believe they have found the 'best' movie on streaming platform

One film fan has named the crime thriller you need to check out on Netflix, claiming it to be one of the best things you will see all year. Netflix viewers have been told to watch the 'best' crime thriller available on the streaming service. Audiences are said to have been absolutely captivated by it. Movie enthusiast Jay, known as @flixwithjay across his social platforms, has highlighted the crime thriller that demands attention on Netflix, declaring it amongst the best viewing experiences of the year. In his TikTok video, he explained more. ‌ "It's an absolute classic, No Country for Old Men. It's a crime drama about a hunter who stumbles across a drug deal gone wrong. In the aftermath, he runs off with a suitcase full of cash. This then sets off a deadly chain reaction of events, which sees him pursued by a hitman who kills without mercy," he detailed. ‌ Brought to life by Ethan and Joel Coen, No Country for Old Men features Tommy Lee Jones, Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin. The 2007 film secured four Oscars alongside 161 additional accolades and 139 nominations, as reported by the Mirror. Jay continued: "Visually, this movie is stunning. Very frame looks like a painting but at the same time, it still looks so real. "I personally think this is the Coen brothers best work. You could literally watch this movie multiple times and each time you could come away with something different." Responding to his clip, one viewer remarked: "One of the best movies of all time. Brolin and Bardem are wonderful in this as is Tommy Lee Jones. It is a classic. Great for multiple viewings as you say." Another viewer chimed in: "I agree this is Cohen's brothers best film. I don't usually re-watch films, I saw this at the cinema and I've watched it at home 5 times. it's excellent!". ‌ A third fan declared: "I watched this in cinemas when it first came out and all I can say is WOW." Some reckon the film stands as the best choice across the entirety of Netflix, which is quite an achievement given the streaming service boasts over 4,000 titles across the platform. ‌ Writing their review on IMDb, one viewer commented: "Days after seeing it, I am still haunted by No Country for Old Men. There is just something so effectual and uncompromising about it, that mere words will only begin to skim the surface of the cinematic excellence on display." A fellow critic noted: "If you like films that literally take your breath away, then this goes to the top of the list. As stated elsewhere, Javier Bardem is so spectacularly evil and menacing that, if I were Mrs Bardem, I'd be worried about him coming home at night. "The man exuded controlled evil, and I found myself not breathing when he came onto screen, yet couldn't take my eyes from him - a truly mesmerising presence." ‌ They continued, "Tommy Lee Jones turns in a belter of a performance, and mention should also be made of Kelly MacDonald who nails a faultless Texan accent alongside a multi-layered performance (despite the paucity of her screen time). "Beautifully shot, as you would expect, and with some (welcome) moments of humour amongst the gore, this is a very very fine film. "Miss it at your peril, because when those little golden men are being handed out next year in LA, I predict a lot of them will be going to this film. A belter."

Women in their 40s like me are obsessed with Jennifer Aniston's love life

It's been a mixed week for Girl Power. Pictures from inside Mel B's glam wedding at St Paul's Cathedral began appearing on socials on Monday (most thanks to Celebrity Big Brother's Angelica Bell). And it certainly looked like Scary had the perfect day with hubby number three, Rory McPhee. But….While Mel B, 50, looked stunning in a couture gown, I was sad to see the wedding planner had missed some major opportunities to really spice up the big event. I mean…. where was the leopard print wedding cake? Or the string band playing 2 Becomes 1 as they said their vows? Why wasn't the bride in white platform trainers? And surely the groom could have done a Spicy routine for the First Dance? It's almost - almost - like Scary didn't want her wedding to become a Spice Girls nostalgia fest. ( Weird, I know!) . For, despite spending a reported £28,000 on a glam reception at the Shangri-La inside London's The Shard, there was something else lacking from the celebrations as well. Well, three things in fact: Mel's fellow Spice Girls. Only ONE - Emma 'Baby Spice' Bunton - made it in person. The others sent their wishes on social media, citing work conflicts. To be fair, this is third time lucky for Mel. Perhaps they just figured they'd catch the next one? Sound the showbiz klaxon! There was good news aplenty for one of our best Friends this week. First the new trailer for The Morning Show dropped, showing Jennifer Aniston and Reece Witherspoon ready to slay another season of the Apple show. And then came the Internet tittle tattle we've been waiting YEARS to hear.…..Jennifer Aniston is (possibly or possibly not)[italics] in LOVE. Yes, the 56-year-old is rumoured to be dating again. Before you get too excited, Jen is yet to confirm the romance but she also did nothing to stop tongues wagging either - after pictures emerged this week of her on holiday in Mallorca with her super hunky hypnotist pal, Jim Curtis. Social media sleuths have unearthed dozens of cutesy interactions between the pair over the past months. They've also been spotted together at a hotel in California's Big Sur. So if she does go Instagram official you can hardly criticise her taste. I mean , just look at those eyes, I could stare into them all day (risk of hypnotism be damned). But, why is it, I wondered, that so many 40-somethings like myself, are quite so obsessed with Jen's love life? She hasn't even gone public with a relationship since her 2018 split from her hubby of three years - Justin 'Oh my gosh how is he related to Louis?' Theroux. But the real reason for our obsession is threefold: Brad Pitt, Angelina and 2005. AKA The Most Infamous Split in Hollywood History™. As any #TeamAniston supporter will remember, it was anything but Jolie. In fact, a certain pair of Oscar winners treated her like the absolute pitts . And that was the moment that made Jen an cultural touchstone. Every woman - and many men - could instantly relate to the Hollywood golden girl's heartache. Most of us have been heartbroken by a split. Many of us have seen partners hook up all too quickly with someone new. And here it was happening to one of the most likeable and talented stars of the era. In the most public way imaginable. So by the time the Mr and Mrs Smith pair did their infamous 'happy families'-themed magazine shoot to promote their movie?........ Well, it was as if they done it to a real life friend, when their tears were barely dry...... Team Aniston fans the world over could empathise: we could all remember a time when an ex had (probably inadvertently) made us feel the same. So of course, we want the sitcom queen to have the last laugh. Because that's what we'd all want for ourselves.... While Mel B has had a brilliant week, Geri must have been driven to distraction. For on Wednesday morning, hubby Chris Horner's 20-year F1 career came to a sudden and screeching halt - as Red Bull Racing clipped his wiiiiiings with zero public explanation. His shock firing came 12 months after Chris was caught up in an alleged texting scandal, and just a month after he and Geri were honoured guests at Brad Pitt's London premiere of F1. The road ahead for the couple is now uncertain. Yet Chris wasn't the only one reading job ads this week. Under fire Gregg Wallace finally got the given the chop, chop, chop from MasterChef - after a seven-month investigation into inappropriate behaviour accusations (claims he originally denied). The poor cash-strapped Beeb is yet to comment publicly. But it's understood they may have no choice but to throw out an entire unaired pre-recorded series of MasterChef. Why? Because there's no way to edit the rotten old turnip out. (And I don't mean some bad veg on set). If the waste of Licence Fee payer's hard-earned cash doesn't turn your stomach enough, this might. For Gregg went on to BLAME the BBC, implying his newly-diagnosed autism was the reason for some of his alleged behaviour. Not only is this damaging, disparaging and possibly even defamatory to people with autism, mental health problems and neurodiversities - many charities were outraged - ….but Gregg's made this whole thing even harder to swallow…. by making himself the victim. Personally I'd say every budding chef he's ever critiqued deserves an apology. For, he clearly has no idea what's goodtaste - and what's not. Talking of job hunting, Gregg may not have to look far for his next gig. Fellow cancelled TV star Wynne Evans has announced plans to open his own restaurant - the 'Welsh House by Wynne' - in his hometown of Carmarthen, West Wales. The pair met when Strictly's Wynne appeared on Celebrity Masterchef. So presumably he has Gregg's number if he needs a cheap pot washer. Who knows? Maybe they can GoCompare where things went wrong. Is it a bird, is it a plane? No it's Superman… and his superdog. The DC movie opened on Friday after having had mixed reviews. But it was another supersonic pair who also made headlines. For Oasis finally returned for their first hometown gig in Manchester on Friday, a week after reuniting on stage in Cardiff. So were the Manchester crowds still as 'Mad Fer It' after the Gallaghers' brothers 16 years away? One imagines so. Although after years of anticipation, the Hunger Games-style showdown for tickets, the adrenaline rush of the big night, and the copious amount of Cigarettes and Alcohol being some[ital] fans….it's probably a bit of a Blur. On the 'ead, mate! Oh, sorry…. wrong sport! Poor Stephen Fry did an inadvertent header at Wimbledon this week, when an errant ball from Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka caught him right on the noggin. Normally, I'd quip that it might knock some sense into him. But with Fry's IQ, he's probably got enough already….
