Jensen Taylor Connelly, director at M&D's, said: "We have many carers visit us throughout the year on days out and where possible we always support them as the work they do is so valuable.

Kate Middleton's Latest Outfit Relies On One Thing – And It's Selling Quickly

A shirt-and-blazer combination may not be revolutionary for Kate Middleton, but she wears it with an ease and sophistication that is so appealing. Case in point: the Princess of Wales's latest outfit, which she wore to visit the RHS's Wellbeing Garden at Colchester Hospital this month. Proving the understated power of a striped shirt, the Princess chose this Ralph Lauren style for a casual outfit with the right amount of polish. The Princess paired her stripes with a now-sold-out pinstriped Blazé Milano blazer, a piece she's worn on several occasions. While she's always re-worn her favourite looks, it's a formula she's been leaning into more frequently in recent years, from the structured Self-Portrait dress she wore on two consecutive outings, to another Ralph Lauren shirt she chose for a royal visit to Scotland back in April. The Princess finished the look with a pair of Joseph Coleman trousers and her go-to trainers: the Veja Esplar Leather sneakers. 1. Ralph Lauren Collection, Capri Striped Shirt While her exact shirt is unavailable to buy, you can snap up the linen version, which looks very similar to the original. While the Princess's exact shirt is a past-season piece and now sold out, there's no shortage of iterations available in alternative colours. Take your pick: the beige and white linen version that looks the most similar to Middleton's original, the nautical blue-and-white stripe for a classic feel, or the orange-and-white for something bolder. There's even a bold blood-orange version, and a silk upgrade that'll set you back a cool £1.2K. Naturally, the high street offers a conveyor belt of even more affordable alternatives, proving royal style doesn't have to come with a royal price. Whether it's COS, Arket, H&M, or Zara, you'll find plenty of doppelgängers ready to land in your wardrobe. We've rounded up the best picks, so you can either recreate the full look or mix and match pieces to add a bit of Middleton's polish to your own style. You could even find some similar jewellery staples, if you wanted to go that extra mile. 2. H&M, Oversized Twill Shirt This H&M shirt is a great option if you're looking to replicate The Princess's exact look on a high street budget. 3. Next, Cream Stripe Shirt Next has a great selection of shirts, and this one will slot seamlessly into your day-to-day wardrobe for the warmer months. 4. Karen Millen, Stripe Tailored Blazer Price: £143.20 (was £179) Choose this Karen Millen blazer for a lighter take on Middleton's original, without straying too far from the royal's style. 5. & Other Stories, Single Breasted Blazer For a more casual take on the look, opt for this & Other Stories single-breasted blazer in white and black. 6. Massimo Dutti, Mid-Rise Trousers Price: £59.95 (was £99.95) These look suspiciously similar to Middleton's exact pair of trousers, available in a chocolate brown colour. The only difference is they feature double-button detailing on the waistband. 7. Reiss, Pintuck Trousers These corporate-style trousers are incredibly smart, but don't be fooled, they can still be worn on more off-duty occasions. 8. Veja, Esplar Leather Sneaker Price: £140 The royal's sneaker of choice? Veja's Esplar leather trainers. They're still in stock, and of course, we've sourced the originals for you. Mark Wright and Spencer Matthews lead the thigh-high men's shorts trend

This summer men's swim shorts are getting a thigh-high upgrade, with celebrities like Paul Mescal, Mark Wright and Spencer Matthews all spotted wearing the 'short shorts' trend Whilst women's swimwear trends tend to dominate our summer social media, there's another trend that's been quietly creeping up – and it's not the only thing on the up. The hemlines of men's swim shorts seem to be on the rise, with thigh-high men's shorts set to be this summer's go-to style for men everywhere. Inspired no doubt by Paul Mescal's viral off-duty outfits, more men than ever have been opting for shorter shorts, with a recent survey shared by high street fave Marks and Spencer revealing that 66% of men say they liked the 'short shorts' trend. Leading the way with the look is Mark Wright and Spencer Matthews, who both opted for a pair of M&S ' Quick Dry Plain Swim Shorts in a recent campaign. The new swim shorts are Marks & Spencer 's shortest ever swim shorts for men, although you can opt for short, medium and long versions too to get just the right length. The Quick Dry Plain Swim Shorts are also available in sizes XS to 3XL in all three lengths, making it easy to get the exact fit you want. In their campaign, Spencer opted for the bayleaf colourway, whilst Mark chose the shade brick. However there are plenty of other colourways to choose from – 12, to be exact – and at £15 each there's no reason you can't pick up a couple of different colours to see you right through your holiday. You can also pick up plenty of other colours with Nike's Core Swim Shorts, which are currently discounted at Sports Direct. Usually £29.99, they're now £25, and are also included in the two for £30 offer, meaning you can get two pairs for the equivalent of £19 each. ASOS also has a great selection of men's swim shorts, including plenty of thigh-high styles from brands like Calvin Klein and Paul Smith. There's also plenty of colours, prints and patterns The M&S Quick Dry Plain Swim Shorts come with Sun Smart UPF50+ protection to protect sensitive skin from UV rays, and have a quick-drying fabric which means no more sitting around in soaking trunks for hours on end or having to put damp ones back on the next day. They also have useful side pockets, a velcro back pocket and a drawstring waist for an adjustable fit. They're also fully lined, to keep you secure and comfortable. Although they're new on the M&S website, the Quick Dry Plain Swim Shorts have already racked up an impressive 4.7 star rating. One wrote: 'Worn daily for a week in Lanzarote. Great fit, fast drying. Happy days.' Another agreed: 'Just what required for my husband. Comfortable, quick drying and at a good price.' In fact the only real negative review stated: 'These swim shorts remind me of the 1960s when nylon was all the rage. I bought them for my disabled son but will be sending them back as I prefer something of slightly better quality for him.' Others loved them, however, writing: 'These swim shorts are a good fit at a great price. May buy another colour now.' And adding: 'Very nice shorts, fit well. Look and feel good. Great value for money.'

How swimwear is taking a daring dive back to the 80s with thin gussets and sky-high cuts

Forget full briefs or bikini shorts, everywhere you look at the moment, from M&S to New Look and Primark, has hip-high cuts SWIMCREDIBLE How swimwear is taking a daring dive back to the 80s with thin gussets and sky-high cuts SWIMWEAR trends, like every other part of fashion, come and go in waves. And this year we seem to be revisiting the '80s with super-high-cut bikini lines sure to leave you needing a Hollywood wax. 5 Former Love Islander Maura Higgins shows off her svelte figure in a barely-there bikini with a high cut 5 Kim K unveiled her latest Skims collaboration featuring a super-high-cut animal-print one-piece Credit: Instagram/KimKardashian First made famous in that decade by supermodels such as Cindy Crawford, Elle Macpherson and Christy Turlington, wedgie- inducing swimwear is back. And this time round, it's not just for celebs and reality telly stars - the high street is pushing us mere mortals to tackle thin gussets, too. Forget full briefs or bikini shorts, everywhere you look at the moment, from M&S to New Look and Primark, has hip-high cuts and bum-cheek-exposing cossies. With Love Island back on our screens and the women scantily clad in swimwear every episode, we expected to see a resurgence of the V-cut gusset. And last week Kim Kardashian, 44, unveiled her latest Skims collaboration with Italian brand Roberto Cavalli, featuring a super-high-cut animal-print one-piece. Meanwhile, sister Kylie, 27, stepped out in a vintage Chanel swimsuit, with a sky-high cut, first worn by Claudia Schiffer in 1995. Just a few weeks ago Miami Swim Week — the pinnacle of all swimsuit catwalks — saw a host of high V cuts, with TikTok sensation Alix Earle, 24, strutting down the runway in a barely-there bikini. Model Iris Law, 24, recently wore a black high-cut swimsuit, and former Love Islanders Maura Higgins, 34 and Zara McDermott, 28, have been showing off their svelte figures in them, too. Gusset gauge Host of the reality show Maya Jama, 30, has also been spotted wearing a barely-there bikini while on holiday this year. Of course, these women all looked phenomenal, but for the rest of us enjoying a break on the Costa Del Sol or taking a dip at the local swimming pool, it's not an easy look to pull off. Alisha Lehmann shows off her bikini body as she models new swimwear range Aside from the obvious extremely bare bikini line you need to have, there's also the probability you'll spend all your holiday sorting out your wedgie, or even worse a flash of some flesh you definitely don't want strangers to see. Yes, we expect to see these flimsy cuts at Gen Z fave brands like Nasty Gal and River Island. But I was surprised to see M&S selling this type of bikini bottoms, as the brand is renowned for selling comfortable underwear, particularly big 'granny'-style pants. It seems there is no escaping it if our sensible shops are hopping on board. You have to wonder why. There is a huge appetite for '80s nostalgia currently, across music and fashion, and there are parallels between the economies of back then and now — both decades are characterised by economic uncertainty and fluctuating inflation rates. 5 Zara McDermott, 28, stuns in the trendy bikini which is difficult to pull off Credit: Instagram 5 TikTok sensation Alix Earle, 24, strutting down the runway in a barely-there bikini at Miami Swim Week Credit: Getty 5 The swimwear was first made famous by supermodels such as Cindy Crawford, pictured, Elle Macpherson and Christy Turlington Credit: B915 We know about the hemline index, but could the gusset gauge be a more accurate indicator of how consumers feel about the state of the economy? Whatever the reasons, there are, of course, aesthetic benefits to high-cut swimsuits — they give the illusion of longer legs and a smaller waist. But if you are going to wear it, you really do need to commit to the trend — booking in for that wax and giving yourself a body-confidence pep talk, because there really is nowhere to hide.
