Two Arizona softball signees named to PGF All-American roster
The game will be played on July 26, 2025 with rosters of 20 from the West and 20 from the East. Both of Arizona's freshmen will be on the West team.

The pair is part of a class that Arizona head coach Caitlin Lowe described as heavy on infield 'righty power' when they signed last November. They both fit the description.
Talataina is a corner infielder from the San Diego area. The various ranking services believe that she is the top player in Arizona's class of four players. Both Prep Softball and Perfect Game limit their rankings to the top 50. Softball America has changed its system from one year to the next. For the 2025 class, it ranked 15 pitchers and 50 position players; that was changed to 100 players regardless of position in 2026.
Prep Softball has her at No. 23 in the country. Softball America ranks her as the country's No. 28 overall player, the 10th-best infielder, and the No. 4 prospect out of California. That outlet rates her as a four-star recruit with a score of 96, putting her in the high four-star range. Perfect Game places her at No. 35 in its national rankings.
Lucas is a middle infielder from Hawai'i. She is not ranked in the limited databases of the three services. Unlike many of the previous players who have come from Hawai'i to play college softball on the mainland, she has played her travel ball for a team on the islands. Current Wildcat and fellow Hawaiian Jenna Sniffen played travel ball for teams in Southern California.

A third Arizona signee, pitcher Rylie Holder, was named to the Alliance Fastpitch all-star game last month.

Hawaiian DL prospect gets invite to Michigan State opener vs. WMU
Thank you for this opportunity! @MSU_Football A Hawaiian defensive lineman in the 2027 class has picked up an invite to the Spartans' season-opener against Western Michigan. Stone Ah Quin of Honolulu announced earlier this week that he received an invite from Michigan State to attend the Spartans' season-opening game against Western Michigan. Quin announced the invite via a post on his social media X account. Quin is an unrated defensive lineman in the 2027 class. He is listed at 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, and plays for St. Louis School. Michigan State is one of six schools to extend Quin an offer, with the Spartans handing him an offer in May, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from California, Colorado State, Hawaii, San Diego State and UNLV. Quin didn't note in his post if he plans on attending the game or is just simply thankful for the invite. His recruitment by the Spartans will be something we want to monitor over the fall and into next year. Nebraska football freshman wide receiver Cortez Mills named to South Florida Watch List
Nebraska football freshman wide receiver Cortez Mills was named to Rivals' list of five freshmen from South Florida who can make an impact in 2025. The list was compiled by Marcus Benjamin on Friday. Mills comes to Nebraska after putting together an accomplished high school career. He had 1,640 yards as a junior and 466 yards and six touchdowns as a senior in high school. He was selected to the Navy All-American Game and looks to make an impact at the collegiate level. Mills' big-play threat ability certainly lends itself to the opportunity to see the field. Benjamin seemed to be extremely high on Mills, as he wrote about in his piece. "The Cornhuskers have a relatively young receiving corps, giving Cortez Mills a real opportunity to get on the field early this season. Aside from projected starter, senior Dane Key, Mills will be battling underclassmen for the most part for playing time." Although there is depth at the wide receiver position, Mills could have the opportunity to get on the field early. The Huskers' wide receiver group has been revamped, and offensive coordinator Dana Holgerson has made it clear that he will play the best wide receivers. Mills could certainly fall into that category sooner rather than later. Notre Dame baseball gets commit from Eric Zdunek
The Fighting Irish get an outfielder who hit .333 last spring. Notre Dame baseball has gotten a commitment from outfielder Eric Zdunek. Zdunek is class of 2026 out of Orange Lutheran High School in Orange, California. Perfect Game has Zdunek listed as a top 100 player -- No. 66 to be exact. He's six-foot-two, 203 pounds, and he's also pitched as a righty and played infield. He hit .333 last spring. That kind of bat and positional versatility will obviously be good for the Fighting Irish.
