
Interior Ministry Takes Action Against 15 Violators of Hajj Regulations
Seasonal administrative committees have issued rulings against the violators, including the transporters, their accomplices, and the unauthorized pilgrims.
The penalties imposed include imprisonment, fines of up to SAR 100,000, public disclosure of the violators' identities, deportation of resident offenders with a 10-year ban on reentry after serving their sentences, and legal proceedings to confiscate the vehicles used in the violations.
Additionally, individuals found attempting to perform Hajj without the necessary permits face fines of up to SAR 20,000.
The Ministry urged all citizens and residents to adhere strictly to Hajj regulations to help ensure the safety and security of all pilgrims.

Saudi authorities arrest 37 in drug trafficking case involving government staff
Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — The Saudi security authorities have arrested 37 members of criminal gangs involved in drug trafficking in the Riyadh and Hail regions. They included six ministry employees, according to an official source at the Ministry of Interior. Those arrested include 28 Saudi citizens, five Syrian nationals, two Ethiopian border security violators, a Yemeni national and a Yemeni expatriate. The criminal networks were found involved in receiving and trafficking the narcotic substances amphetamine and shabu (crude form of methamphetamine), as well as tablets subject to medical regulation. The arrested citizens include two each from the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of National Guard and one each from the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Health. The arrests were made following information available to the competent authority at the Ministry of Interior. The arrested persons were referred to the Public Prosecution after taking the necessary legal measures. The ministry affirmed that security agencies are vigilant against all criminal plots being hatched to target the nation and its youth with drugs. "The security authorities will confront anyone who dares to threaten the security of the Kingdom, as well as its citizens, and residents. They will foil such plots and arrest anyone involved in such crimes," the ministry added.

Saudi Arabia deports 8,051 illegal residents in a week
Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — A total of 17,863 illegal residents were arrested during inspections across Saudi Arabia in a week. The inspections were carried out by the security forces in collaboration with the relevant government agencies, during the period between June 26 and July 2, the Ministry of Interior revealed on Saturday. Those who were arrested include 10,746 violators of the Residency Law, 4,362 violators of the Border Security Law, and 2,755 violators of the Labor Law. The ministry said that a total of 8051 illegal residents were deported while 6,839 violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents and 2,392 violators were referred to complete their travel reservations. The total number of people who were arrested while trying to cross the border into the Kingdom accounted for 1,507, of whom 33 percent were Yemeni nationals, 65 percent Ethiopian nationals, and two percent belonged to other nationalities. Some 26 people, involved in giving transportation, shelter, and employment for violators, were also arrested. A total of 13,362 illegal residents, including 11,874 men and 1,488 women, are currently undergoing various phases of legal procedures as part of punitive measures against them. The Ministry of Interior has warned that any person, who facilitates the illegal entry of individuals into the Kingdom, transports them on its territory, provides them with shelter or any other assistance or service may be penalized with up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to SR1 million. It noted that the vehicles used for transportation or houses used for giving shelter will be confiscated. The ministry urged the public to report any cases of violation by calling the number 911 in the regions of Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province and the numbers 999 and 996 in the rest of the Kingdom's regions.
