The newly updated Royal Gallery offers guests a deeper connection to this legacy, with newly restored images that now include Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, His Majesty King Charles III (then Prince of Wales), Her Royal Highness The Princess Anne, and Diana, Princess of Wales among others.

This enhancement is part of a broader initiative to continuously enhance the ship's onboard Heritage experiences, providing guests not only with one-of-a-kind hospitality but also a chance to relive the ship's most majestic moments. The Royal Gallery now serves as a storytelling space, honouring not just Royal personalities, but the powerful presence of the QE2 in world affairs, ceremonial tradition, and royal history.
The gallery is open to all hotel guests and Heritage Tour visitors and forms an integral part of the immersive heritage offering aboard the QE2.

China's first Legoland opens to tourists in Shanghai

"The various provinces are putting a lot of effort into expanding their tourism industries, and all of them have special attractions," said Xu, a 34-year-old parent visiting Legoland on Saturday with his children. But profitability remains a problem, especially for local companies with less brand recognition. As of late 2024, around 40 percent of parks were still failing to turn a profit, according to state media reports. Yet analysts point to a growing population of retirees and job market changes as key factors pushing more locals to visit domestic attractions. "The labour market is turning more flexible," said Ernan Cui, China consumer analyst at Gavekal Research. "More people have leisure time to travel around."

Christine Allado to star as Rachel Marron in Philippine production of ‘The Bodyguard'
Filipina-British theater actress Christine Allado is set to take on the iconic role of Rachel Marron in the upcoming Philippine staging of The Bodyguard. Allado, best known for her dual role as Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds in the West End production of Hamilton, will showcase her vocal prowess in the Manila run of The Bodyguard, scheduled from September 26 to October 19 at The Proscenium Theater in Makati. Allado also played Vanessa in the West End staging of In the Heights and starred as Tzipporah in The Prince of Egypt, a role that earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album. Her screen credits include lead roles in BBC's 60th-anniversary production of West Side Story as Maria, Hallmark Channel's Royal Hearts as Jasmine, and The Accidental Spy as Agent Beverly Walker. Most recently, she appeared alongside Broadway legends Bernadette Peters and Lea Salonga in Stephen Sondheim's Old Friends in London. Massive Attack, Kneecap and others form musician alliance against 'silencing' by pro-Israel groups
British band Massive Attack have announced an alliance of musicians to take on "intimidation" by pro-Israel groups within the music industry. Acts including Kneecap, Brian Eno, and Garbage have signed up for the group, which was announced on the back of a documentary by campaign group Led By Donkeys about the work of a pro-Israel group that is silencing activism on the situation in Palestine. According to Led By Donkeys: "UK Lawyers for Israel Ltd [UKLFI] has tried to silence various voices supporting Palestine. Their charitable wing has made public statements rejecting international law." In a statement put out on Instagram on Thursday evening, Massive Attack said intimidation of pro-Palestine artists within the music industry had been organised by UKLFI. "The scenes in Gaza have moved beyond description. We write as artists who've chosen to use our public platforms to speak out against the genocide occurring there [and] the role of the UK Government in facilitating it," Massive Attack wrote. Kneecap published a statement addressing the case, which said: "We deny this 'offence' and will vehemently defend ourselves. "This is political policing. This is a carnival of distraction. We are not the story. Genocide is." Increasing numbers of musicians are making gestures and statements in support of Palestine and against ongoing Israeli atrocities in Gaza. That includes bands once considered relatively apolitical. In May, Imagine Dragons lead singer Dan Reynolds raised the Palestinian flag during the band's performance in Milan, Italy.
