Georgia Toffolo declares jelly shoes ‘well and truly back' with £20 red M&S pair

Daily Mirror3 days ago
Jelly shoes are the latest of the 00s trends to make a comeback, and Georgia Toffolo has found the perfect red pair from Marks and Spencer for her Maldives holiday
Although the resurgence of the 00s trends has been slowly creeping back in for a while now, it seems it has truly hit its peak recently with the return of the jelly shoes. As soon as luxury brands started sending their own versions down the runway, it became official – they're the shoe of the summer.
And in case you needed any more convincing, former Made in Chelsea star Georgia Toffolo has also been spotted wearing a pair during her trip to the Maldives, where she shared a photo declaring: 'Jelly shoes are well and truly back and I'm here for it.' She also shared where to shop her exact pair, with her Jelly Slip On Ballet Pumps being a surprisingly affordable £19.50 pick from Marks & Spencer.
The jelly shoes are the perfect pick for summer, with the mesh design making them breathable and comfortable to wear, as well as meaning you can wear them on the beach without them filling up with sand. The plastic material also means they should be perfectly fine to wear in the water, so you can paddle in the sea or pop them on around the pool without worrying about them getting ruined.
Toff's Jelly Slip On Ballet Pumps also have the classic ballet flat style that makes them easy to wear with a whole host of different outfits. The flat heel also keeps them comfortable enough to be worn all day long.
Pair them with jeans and a T-shirt for days in the city, or throw them on with your bikini and a sarong (just like Toff) for an afternoon at the beach. You could also pair them with a flowy maxi skirt or a linen co-ord for more casual evenings out.
The M&S Jelly Slip On Ballet Pumps are already selling quickly, with only sizes five, six and seven currently in stock in the red colour. You can however still nab the silvery grey colourway in all sizes from a three to an eight.
If you do want a red pair but have missed out on your size with the M&S pair, you could pick up the Juju Jellies Kris In Red from Schuh instead, which are currently on sale down from £26 to £17.99. Alternatively, nab yourself the £29.99 Jelly Mesh Ballet Flats from Amazon which have been compared favourably to The Row's designer version by reviewers.
However the Marks & Spencer Jelly Slip On Ballet Pumps have also been getting plenty of positive reviews of their own, with one saying: 'Perfect for summer, nice colour, son comfortable and fit well.'
Another agreed: 'These jelly shoes are really comfortable. I bought the transparent ones and my granddaughter thinks they are glass slippers! I have popped them on to do the school run .. visit a Nursery.. and have dashed into town. I'm so glad I came across them on the website and am happy to recommend them.'
Some had some minor issues, adding: 'Perfect for the beach. Very comfortable. Wouldn't want to wear them for a lot of walking around as they would make your feet sweat. Feel very light but not much support.'
Others however couldn't wait to wear them on holiday, writing: 'Just what I wanted for the beach and pool side. Very comfortable and light. Flexible will go in back pack luggage easily.'

Sam Thompson spending time with Zara McDermott lookalike after second Love Island split

Former Made In Chelsea star, Sam Thompson, has been getting to know a holistic nutritionist from America after calling it quits with Love Island's Samie Elishi Sam Thompson is "spreading his wings again" after calling time on his relationship with Love Island's Samie Elishi. The Made In Chelsea star, 32, has had a rocky road to romance this year following his split with ex Zara McDermott, who has now moved on with Louis Tomlinson, in December. ‌ There were high hopes for Sam and Samie after they were seen snogging in the street in Chelsea in May, but they parted ways recently, with sources blaming their busy schedules - and Sam later adamant that he wouldn't date until he'd 'worked on himself'. However, two weeks later he enjoyed a drink with a holistic nutritionist from America called Steph Robinson, who posts lots of shots of herself posing in her bikini on Instagram - and who looks a lot like Zara. ‌ ‌ According to the Mail, the pair are said to have been seen on several dates together in the capital, where Steph, who recently attended Wimbledon and visited a host of beauty and wellness clinics, where she had a Sofia Richie inspired lymphatic drainage massage - which she 'highly recommended' - is currently living. Captioning an Instagram post in June, which was liked by Sam, she wrote: "London, I will be seeing a lot more of you soon." However, Sam's rep told the Mirror that the reality star wasn't dating anyone, but did confirm Sam and Steph enjoyed a drink together with a group of friends. ‌ A source told the Mail: "Sam and Steph have been on a few dates and are getting to know each other. They connected over Instagram and didn't waste any time to meet in person, especially given Steph isn't always in town. "Steph travels a lot for her work as a content creator but is currently spending an extended period in London and it couldn't have come at a better time. ‌ "Sam is definitely having fun as a single man, going out when he isn't working, and spreading his wings." The I'm A Me Out Of Here! winner was reportedly spotted on celebrity dating app Raya post-breakup from Samie and recently admitted he needed time to heal before getting to know someone new, telling pal, Pete Wicks: "I'm going to work on myself. No dating, I'm not ready and I've realised that." ‌ It comes after he broke up with Zara after five years together in a split, which was said to have left Sam 'blindsided'. Zara is now in a relationship with One Direction's Louis, with Sam appearing to make a dig at his ex when he spoke to Married At First Sight guru, Paul C Brunson. Appearing on We Need To Talk, Sam quipped: "A lot of people look for validation in other people and they look for the next person instantly. It's like, 'I need to find someone else to fill that hole and I need to find that excitement. "You know when you get that excited feeling when you are talking to someone new and fresh?" he added. "I can't do that."

Two rare KitKat bars are spotted back on UK shelves as shoppers fill their trolleys with ‘decadent' flavours

TWO rare KitKat bars have made a surprise return to UK shelves — and sweet-toothed shoppers are already filling their trolleys with the decadent flavours. The fan-favourite treats have been spotted back in stock — sending chocoholics into a frenzy to snap them up before they disappear again. 2 One of the returning flavours is the indulgent KitKat Honeycomb flavour buzz, packed with crunchy pieces of honeycomb and a rich sweet kick. Also back is the KitKat Gold Rush, a cult classic with crushed caramel crisps. Shoppers have taken to social media to rave about the comeback, saying the bars are "interesting" and "I have to get these!" The limited-edition flavours are available in B&M. They've been popping up in stores on and off for the past few years. So fans are warning others to move fast, as they're not expected to stay on shelves for long. Taking to the Facebook group New Foods UK, one member wrote: "Two new KitKats spotted at B&M!" along with a photo attached of the chocolate bars. Excited users flooded the comment section, with one writing: "Mm yummy yummy can't wait to try them cheers everyone." Another added: "Very interesting." A third penned: "I have to get these!" KitKat and ketchup viral trend has die-hard fans feeling 'sick'- but some are more disgusted by how they're eating it New flavour A brand new KitKat flavour landed in the UK for the first time - but it's left chocolate lovers divided. The unusual flavour - Lemony Lime - is being described as a "citrusy take on the classic KitKat". It's being sold at Sunny's Premier Store in Stirling, which is a family-run corner shop that's earned a huge online following. The store has got a massive 10,800 followers on Instagram as it's become known for stocking rare and sought-after snacks. The Lemony Lime KitKat is the latest rare snack to land at Sunny's Premier - but shoppers can't agree on whether they'd want to try it. Some commenters said "yes please!!!" or "I need me some of those kitkats". Another said: "I'd love this one!" But a fourth person said: "NO. Just stop messing with a KitKat! There's no need." And another simply said "ewww". How to save money on chocolate We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar. Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs... Go own brand - if you're not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you'll save by going for the supermarket's own brand bars. Shop around - if you've spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it's cheaper elsewhere. Websites like let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you're getting the best deal. Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced. They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged. Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar. So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger. Other new flavours KitKat has recently launched a series of new flavours to excite chocolate lovers. The new KitKat Chunky Funky is a crispy cocoa wafer smothered in a marbled mix of creamy milk and white chocolate. Then there's also the KitKat Chunky Salted Caramel and KitKat Blue Riband Vanilla. The Salted Caramel flavour is like a normal KitKat Chunky but it has salted caramel in its milk chocolate. The Blue Riband Vanilla flavour is inspired by the popular chocolatey snack. Elsewhere, supermarket chain Farmfoods has started selling rare Japanese KitKat flavours. They include Matcha, Milk Tea and Strawberry. KitKats are wildly popular in Japan and there have been more than 300 limited edition flavours of the chocolate bar released in the East Asian country. Many of the flavours are released regionally, and there is a popular tradition where people will bring back flavours for their friends and family when they travel to different regions. 2
